Good evening! My name is Isabella Smith and I am applying to National Honor Society for the upcoming year. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to join this club as it is a wonderful way for me to make a difference in the community. It would really mean a lot if you would take the time to fill out a recommendation for me.
National Junior Honor Society is a great opportunity for students to show their leadership and collaborative skills. I would like to serve as secretary in the 2016-2017 school year because I am dedicated to what I do, and I enjoy being involved in school and helping others. I believe I can take on the responsibilities that come with the job and am qualified to serve because I am dependable and curious. My curiosity leads me to ask questions, which will allow me to know as much as possible about the meeting and the meeting procedures. I am also organized and neat, which enables me to make sure everything and everyone is present at the meetings and to also be aware of the calendar and the growth of the committees.
Good afternoon honors students, staff and family members. It is an honor for me to be representing Mesa college in such an amazing occasion. As we all know, we are here today to celebrate another year of the Honors Program, and let me tell you that when I was first offered this opportunity I had such a difficulty deciding what topic I wanted to focus on for this speech. There are so many elements that make the honors program so amazing and successful. From the opportunity it gives us to challenge ourselves, to the fact that it makes us stand out when we apply to universities, it is always there to help us positively. However, there is one main element of the honors program that I will always consider the most important and life changing; this
Good Evening, I have the distinct pleasure of welcoming all of you into the National Honor Society, a group built off of high standards of achievement, not only in the area of academics but also in character and leadership. I congratulate each of you and your parents.
I am deeply honored to be among the exemplary students who are being considered for the National Honor Society. I must admit this is what I’ve been looking forward to since the start of my high school career. This organization is not only known for the student’s high gpas but the willing to set an example for others. Joining this prestigious society will present countless opportunities for me and allow me to grow as a person and do as much as I can for my fellow peers and community. I believe that leadership and character best complement each other because the scratch surface of a true leader, or look behind his or her her personality, you’ll find a good character. While scholarship and service complement each other because you must do your
I am extremely honored to be among the remarkable students who are being considered for National Honor Society. I am fortunate to be considered for this offer and I am confident that I uphold the standards of which the NHS is committed through my academic achievements, participation in the school’s Peer Leadership Program, the Girl Scouts of America and my experience in child care. I would like to thank the Faculty Council for giving me the privilege of striving for the highest standards of the National Honor Society.
Pomp and Circumstance High school Commencement in the United States is a tradition like no other. Every June, high school seniors dress in their Sunday best and head to the tried-and-true ritual. Parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles swarm to secondary institutions with their cameras in hand. With the sea of hats and gowns, the graduating class is unified and united. Over the recent decades, Commencements across the United States have incorporated cords and stoles. These emphasize both communal and individual achievements throughout students’ secondary education and their community. At Chisago Lakes High School (CLHS), these achievements are recognized at Commencement with a variety of cords. Students who participate in the National
I am delighted to announce that I am running for the presidential position of Science National Honors Society, which has truly been one of the most active clubs at Clements High School this year! In doing so the club has genuinely lived up to its motto of "Promoting Science, Service, and Leadership". Hearty congratulations to all the current officers for successfully re-establishing the SNHS standards at Clements High School after a year of hardships. From the establishment of Pat Cave to volunteering at Westbury Community Garden, active involvement in SNHS has given me a rigorous introduction to application of scientific concepts to real life problems. At the same time, this club has taught me how to sincerely appreciate nature, specifically
In 2010, Dr. Marc Lamont Hill was the commencement speaker for California State University, Stanislaus. This speech was addressed to the graduating class of 2010, their friends and family who were attending the ceremony, the California State University, Stanislaus faculty and staff, and people who may have not been able
Senior year rapidly is coming to an end, I’ve had the opportunity to see many of my friends come to the exciting moment in their life when they sign that dotted line and I was still waiting on my chance. My entire life I had dreamt of the day to finally committed to a college basketball team, this was my goal and it had to be my purpose in life. January 18, 2015 at 4:41 PM I got an exciting text from Truett-Mcconnell’s head coach, Matt Sanders, stating,” Good afternoon Claudia this is Coach Sanders from Truett-Mcconnell College, and I really feel like we need to begin the recruiting process with you! Sorry to bother you on a Sunday, but I just didn’t want to let time slip away! I look forward to hearing back from you!” Here was my chance!
Hello, Mr. CJ Jones! First of all, it was a pleasure talking and discussing the measures available for the commencement requirements. However, thorough student advisory analogy, on your part has enabled me the opportunity to be a participant of May 14, 1016, graduation ceremony. Moreover, I'm registered for the summer of 2016 (INDS and Math-115).
I proceeded to walk down the aisle slowly becoming aware of the acrobats doing summersaults in my stomach. With such great prestige I heard the announcer’s voice, “Gerdwine Bourdeau.” Still in displacement of what had just occurred, rivers of joy rushed down my face. In quick pursuit, I shook President Welsh’s hand, turned my cheek and gleamed a smile towards the camera. In an instant flash the proudest moment of my life quickly became a realization. As of August 2016 I would be a graduate student of East Stroudsburg University. All the tears of joy and stressful nights would eventually become memories I tap into over lunch with a group of alumni friends. The ceremony quickly came to an end. Myself as well as hundreds of students rushed in search of their families. I had become overwhelmed in the confusion to only hear a lonely voice over the crowd shout in creole “Gerdwine, Gerdwine!” Moments later I stood in front of my first love, my parents. They gazed with admiration and joy, as I stared into their eyes and seen hard working immigrants from Haiti. Raising seven children wasn’t always easy, they worked day in and day out hiking 12 flights of stairs in a Brooklyn apartment building. All to make sure their children received an education that they were unable to obtain.
I, David Kaufman, leave the student body of Sherman oaks CES with a message. Thank you. Thank you for being my second family. For eight years you raised me as one of you own. I didn't always love you in fact our first day together I cried. You seemed so unwelcoming, I feared the thought of you but in reality what I feared was change. Throughout our time together you've taught me countless lessons but most important of all you taught me how to change. Through the theatre department you opened my eyes to stage and turned me into a thespian. In athletics I tested my boundaries and gave it my all Not just for myself but the name on the front of the jersey. In clubs and organizations you allowed to me to flourish, be innovative and grow into a leader.
