A midwife is someone who is certified to deliver babies. They use a more natural form of techniques to provide for the families having babies so there are no complications. Midwives delegate a pregnancy by getting to know the family on a deeper level; they counsel parents about all aspects of a woman's life impacted by pregnancy and childbirth using exercise as a main focus, and use only natural birth methods. Midwives attend births in hospitals unless the mother wants different birthing process such as a home or water birth. Technically they are only allowed to handle low-risk pregnancies, if they did have a high-risk pregnancy on their hands they would have to refer the patient to an obstetrician. Mid wives are more common in most countries
Midwives identify high risked pregnancies and they make referrals to doctors and other medical specialists.

It is also in Lake Superior (1954) and Lake Erie (1931), spreading to all of these lakes (excluding Lake Ontario, in which it has been suspected to be native to) via the Welland Canal, which lead to Lake Erie, which in turn
An Independent Midwife is a Midwife who has chosen to be self-employed and work outside the NHS. The level of public approval for this is significantly lower than statutory midwives as stated previously, for private care it is not free, whereas the NHS is funded from the government and is open and free to the public; essentially making them favoured.
A labor and delivery nurse is a nurse who cares for woman and newborns during antepartum, intraparetum, postpartum, and neonatal stages of birth. These nurses take vital signs to make sure the mother and her newborn are healthy. Labor and delivery nurses aren’t there for the medicine they are also there to provide support for the mother and the family. I would like to become a labor and delivery nurse because I love helping and taking care of others, especially when it comes to babies, I have always been interested in how the human reproduction systems works, and I love seeing others happy.
A constructive critique of the research into women’s experiences of becoming a mother after prolonged labour.
Now there are two types of midwives: professional and traditional. There are several different pathways to become a professional midwife. All pathways require higher education and training that results in certification or licensing. Gynecological, family planning, counseling, and childcare are stressed elements taught in higher education to midwives. The most common types of midwives are listed below including the three professional U.S. midwifery credentials, Certified Professional Midwives (CPM), Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNM), and Certified Midwives (CM). The traditional, community-based midwife chooses not to become certified or licensed for various reasons. They believe that they are only accountable to the community or patient that they
The Midwife's Apprentice "Broken, by Gods whiskers, broken". Dung heap. A very large pile of poop. A dung heap is what Beetle had to sleep in so, everyone called her dung Beetle. In the book "The Midwife's Apprentice''
Not too long ago, the term Cesarean Section would strike fear into the heart's of expecting mothers because of the number of risks involved with the surgery and not to mention the ghastly scar it leaves behind. Today, however, physicians give their patients the option to go through with natural delivery or chose a natural delivery. This may be due to the increase in celebrity trends or because women are having babies later in life and advanced maternal age comes into play when making the decision. Regardless of the increase of this type of delivery, one thing remains true, it is surgery and the
A CNM is a certified nurse midwife. They are responsible for providing medical care to women before, during and after their pregnancy. A certified nurse midwife also specializes in women's health issues from adolescence (puberty) to menopause. To become a CNM, they have to go to a four-year college, have a RN license, complete a midwife education program, and obtain a licence for it. A CNM can work in hospitals, private practices, and even birthing centers. For example, Baby and Co. is a birthing center in Cary (and other locations), and they take low

Midwifery is a career that I plan to be dedicated to my entire life. I have taken my career as a nurse very seriously and want to be competent in my practice as a provider. In order to be proficient ,I will commit the majority of my time to strictly furthering my education. According to the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNMb) (2015), home births account for 1.4% of all births in the U.S. In eight years the number of home births in the US increased by 41% (ACNM, 2015b). Providing home births falls within the scope of practice of midwives and is supported by the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM, 2015b). A mother can have the option of a home birth as long as the home birth follows regulations set in place by the state and can provide a favorable safe environment for both mother and newborn (ACNM, 2015b). Both the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) state that the ultimate decision of having a home birth is a patient’s right, especially if she is medically well informed (Declercq, & Stotland, 2016).
In my Round Table Essay I would like to introduce seven philosophers that we have discussed in class and focus on three specifically for my choice topic. The specific three I want to focus on being; St. Augustine, Thomas Aquinas and Rene Descartes. Lastly, I will proceed to relate their ideas on the existence of God and their development of these ideas.
The relationship I have with my grandmother is one of the most amusing, affectionate, and enjoyable relationships that I have ever had, and it has been this way since the very birth of me. My grandmother spent her career life working closely with people who needed her and were at a point of struggle in their lives. These efforts consisted of working at a children’s home for emotionally disturbed young boys, and teaching high school english in a program for pregnant teenage girls. She wasn’t a woman without problems, she simply decided to put her problems aside for the sake of others. I have seen her do this a thousand times just in the short 16 years I have known her, and in many instances, she was doing it for me. She was born and raised on the same farm that she lives on today, and my family lives in a house right across from her on this delightful land. She loves the beautiful creation that surrounds us, and has ingrained it in me from a young age to appreciate nature, and see beauty in what others see as just grass and sky. After reading this short description of my grandmother, she probably sounds like a very sweet old lady. She is sweet, but is not a woman you’d want to challenge or treat unfairly. My grandma has taught me to appreciate nature, stand up for myself while respecting others, and to be a good friend who knows how to comfort a troubled soul during a time of need.
