Miguel Ramos who likes to be called Bobby went to Kelly High School to then attend Northeastern Illinois University. He had been at Northeastern Illinois University for almost two years. However, he has to take the train every day for two hours which means that he has to wake up really early just to attend College algebra, Photography, English, and sociology. Even though Miguel doesn’t do any sports or organizations in school his parents are very proud on what he has accomplished. Something I like about Miguel is that he likes to be alone when his in school and when he doesn’t understand something about a subject he goes over and over until he gets it. Last semester he took English 101which he loved because the professor made the class fun

When we think of a Texas hero, we think of people with important titles, like Sam Houston or Stephen F. Austin, but never once do we think about those people who gave up a pleasurable future just for us. We never think about those people like José Antonio Navarro, who never even gave a second thought to abandon Texas.

Cortes showed up to the Aztec’s land planning on conquering it to be part of Spain. He did not want to negotiate with the Aztecs, he just wanted their land, with or without them. The Aztecs thought that he was a God and gave him extreme amounts of gold when he first arrived, but that did not satisfy Cortes. Cortes held a meeting with the leader of the Aztecs, Montezuma, and captured him, causing the Aztecs to fight the Spanish to get their leader back. Once the Spanish started to make a move to defeat the Aztecs, they realized that they were all dead or extremely ill. This was because the Aztecs were not immune to the Spanish diseases that came into their land, spreading over their people. Cortes eventually got the Aztec land, making it a part of Spain.
Throughout the novel, the theme of revenge, more specifically getting revenge on someone who is dead, can be seen. In the beginning of the story, there is a conversation between Juan and his mother, Dolores, where she says “‘make him pay, son, for all those years that he put us out of his mind’”(3) referring to his father, Pedro Paramo. Juan Rulfo is referencing the Cry of Dolores, where Father Miguel Hidalgo called the citizens of Dolores, Mexico to take up arms against the ruling Spanish upper class and get revenge for the hundreds of years of Indian oppression and exploitation. In the same way that the Citizens of Dolores were called, Juan is called by his mother, Dolores, to get revenge on Pedro, but the problem is that Pedro has been dead for many
Barcelona has for centuries been a center for intellect, with a substantial cultural heritage. Towards the end of the Spanish civil war the city underwent a dramatic change. Following the war was a rapid growth in economic development, industrialization and an abundance of new technological advances.
