Have you ever seen or noticed Mike Trout or Bryce Harper play.Well I have and it's incredible to watch them play. These two players were prospects since the age of 15. This is something Jon Paul Morosi said about the two, “Harper and Trout are fun to watch. They’re exciting players. The writers, the fans — everyone appreciates that. Those guys are going to be around for 15, 16 years. And it’s not just writers and fans. There are guys around the league watching them. I can see why they get the attention.” (Trout vs. Harper: Who ya got? 1) They were All Americans and the best players on there teams. So far in these players’ careers they have made a mark in the league and there greatness is still to come. They have also won many achievements and they have only been in the league for a couple seasons. Mike Trout is better than Bryce Harper because of his achievements, his career stats, and his mental games and attitude. Both of these players were amazing and unbelievable when they were in high school and collage. Mike Trout grew …show more content…
Mike Trout and Bryce Harper has had amazing careers so far even though they have only been in the league for less than 4 seasons. Mike Trout was drafted in 2009 and didn't start playing in the major leagues until 2011 with the Los Angeles Angles. On the other hand Bryce Harper was drafted in 2010 as the number 1 overall pick for the Washington Nationals. Mike Trout has a career batting average of .305 with 97 home runs. Bryce Harper has a career batting average .269 with 48 home runs. The reason I think that Mike Trout is better is because he puts up better number than Bryce Harper and Mike Trout is in a better division and league. For years the American League has been the hardest league to beat in the All-Star game. Mike Trout has better numbers than Bryce Harper but does Bryce Harper have more achievements than
The National League has its own advantages because of its lack of a Designated Hitter. Some National League statistics have always been higher

Not only are professional baseball players an inspiration; they are also leaders. They have risked life and limb on the field; they inspire us to be better and strive for excellence. For many fans these athletes are
Baseball was a major part of Troy Maxson’s life. Maxson’s good friend Bono states “Ain't but two men ever played baseball as good as you. That’s Babe Ruth and Josh Gibson. Them's the only two men ever hit more home runs than you” (Wilson p.
Baseball statistics are meant to be a representation of a player’s talent. Since baseball’s inception around the mid-19th century, statistics have been used to interpret the talent level of any given player, however, the statistics that have been traditionally used to define talent are often times misleading. At a fundamental level, baseball, like any game, is about winning. To win games, teams have to score runs; to score runs, players have to get on base any way they can. All the while, the pitcher and the defense are supposed to prevent runs from scoring. As simplistic as this view sounds, the statistics being used to evaluate individual players were extremely flawed. In an attempt to develop more
Donaldson hit a .297 avg, hit 41 hrs and 123 RBIs in his first season as a Toronto Blue Jay which lead to the nickname “Bringer of rain”. He was traded to the Jays in return for Canadian third baseman Brett Lawrie. He was an amazing addition to the team with his great skills at third base and his awesome batting skills. To repeat his remarkable season, Donaldson will need to work just as hard if not harder than he did last year and stay healthy. It is extremely hard to repeat the same stats from year to year especially when an injury could occur at anytime and sideline you. Donaldson maybe able to increase his stats by making pitchers walk him more. This would help score more runs as well as win more games. Will Donaldson go back to back as a MVP? Can he bring the rain once again this season?
Baseball players have changed in multiple ways and different aspects have changed the way they play. These aspects could make them better like the technology we have came out with to analyze baseball swings we have learned a lot is the same with golf swings .Baseball has started paying players so much money which changes how they play.Giancarlo Stanton's contract
While the team was warming up Marv Signeski, the varsity coach, came up to Jeter and said, " Son, varsity tryouts are in another two hours" (Jeter 49). After implying that he obviously thought Jeter was able to play above the junior varsity level, Signeski had been mistaken. After Noticing Jeter's arm strength, according to Jeter, Signeski thought that Derek was a junior or a senior (49). Later, he would go on to play junior varsity for two-thirds of the season before the varsity coach moved him to the varsity team. In his sophomore year, Jeter tried out for the varsity squad and made it. His junior year was an exceptional year and he hit .557 (57.7% of the time he was able to get a hit) (Biography par 3). This shows that he could hit the ball very well. He was also able to back his batting average up with a power swing. Jeter hit seven home runs his junior year (Biography par 3). Showing he could not only hit, but he could hit the long ball too. Jeter's senior year was an even more amazing year statistically. According to his website, in his senior year, Derek had an amazing .637 on base percentage (63.7% of the time he was able to reach base safely, but not on an error) (par 3). Being on base so much doesn't come from just hitting the ball. Jeter also got on base 21 times just by walking (Biography par 3). Jeter was noticeably a patient hitter. Showing patience
He hit 600 home runs (5th most all time), won 10 gold gloves, and made 13 All Star Games. In almost 150 years baseball history, only the great Willie Mays can match Ken Griffey Jr. in these statistical categories. However, despite these extraordinary stats, Ken Griffey Jr. may be the ultimate “What Could Have Been” player. An incredibly promising career was derailed in the latter half by chronic injuries that robbed him of hundreds of games. If not for these injuries, Griffey was well on his way to becoming the Home Run King (Stark, 2010) and possibly the greatest player ever. Despite these setbacks, Griffey is still revered as one of the greatest and most popular MLB players ever. The savior of baseball in Seattle and the lone star to
Yadier Molina is and always will be one of the greatest catcher to ever play the game of baseball. With Yadi coming into the league at such a young age, he has had more of an opportunity to prove himself and the stats and awards he has won can really back it up. Not just is he one of the greatest to play the game at that position, he is one of the best “on the field managers” as they say as far as controlling the tempo of the game and how it is played. With all of the accomplishments Molina has had in his career, it proves why he is one of the best to ever play the game at the catching position.
Hank Aaron is most commonly known for beating Babe Ruth's home run record of 714. He overcame racism and became one of the best players to ever play the game of baseball. He is a very rare, cross hitting Right Fielder. If you are a left handed hitter, you will have your left hand on the top of the bat handle and the right on the bottom. For righties it is vice-versa. But Hank was different. He was a lefty but he had his right hand on top and it made his swing look very awkward. However, he broke many records, had an award named after him, and even wrote his own book!
If you were a pitcher in 1985 when you thought of the worse back to back batters you could face you thought of Thunder and Lightning. Will Clark and Rafael Palmeiro were not very fond of each other but they kicked pitchers’ butts. But this team did not only have hitting they pitched lights out. 32 wins between two pitchers
The Orioles crush the ball when they make contact. Through 76 games, according to data via ESPN Stats and Information, they average a .361/.358/.628 line and a .427 wOBA when they put the ball into play, easily the best in the majors. Out of 169 qualified batters, while the Rockies have the top two players on the list (Story and CarGo), Chris Davis ranks third, Mark Trumbo ranks seventh and Manny ranks eighth. It’s fair to say that these three hitters are the heart of the Orioles’ offense. Then, while Wieters, Jones and Alvarez are all having strong years, it is arguable that Schoop has been the fourth best offensive piece.
Mike trout has a better than .300 batting average. This is a main key to becoming a great baseball player. One thing good baseball players have is constancy; you need consistency to keep a better than .300 batting average. Mike Trout has a very similar batting average to the great Barry Bonds, Barry Bonds batted just under .300 and Mike Trout bats .306, Barry bonds is considered to be one of the greatest hitters of all time. This shows that Mike Trout can be compared to many players in the hall of fame, such as Jackie Robinson, Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Pete Rose and many more. Jackie Robinson, Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb had better batting averages then him but not by much, though he has a better batting average than Pete Rose. Jackie Robinson batted .311, Babe Ruth batted around the mid .300’s, and Ty cobb batted way up in the .300,
