I have 26 years of federal service, 20 in the U.S. Navy and 6 with NGA. During my military career, I took on the responsibility of developing personnel for operational readiness. For instance, during one particular assignment as the command watchbill coordinator for non-commissioned officers, I coordinated a unit proficiency-training workshop for the completion of new command watchstanding protocols. The workshop saved 9,600 man-hours and qualified 80% watchstanding personnel in less than two months. I currently attend The George Washington University NGA Cohorts Systems Engineering Program to obtain a masters in systems engineering, and have applied the knowledge and skills I have learned into practice. I developed a content workflow management
I Corporal Vontarius M .Halton would like to respectfully request to reenlist in the Marine Corps to continue serving our country .it has been my dream since high school to be a Marine and I love to continue serving.
I would like to be a part of the WSU Army ROTC program because I have a lot of potential to offer and I want to develop into a full fledged Army officer. The military path is something I have always wanted to pursue since junior year of high school. The influence of growing up in a Navy family helped shaped my decision to enlist in the Army National Guard. I was fortunate enough to be advanced from PV2 to PFC at the end of BCT on November 2016. During Initial Entry Training I realized that my goals and beliefs were aligned with beliefs such as the Army Values and LDRSHIP principles. After learning about the Army values and LDRSHIP principles, I integrated these beliefs into my everyday life as a soldier and a working student.
In five years I see myself as either a Sargent or Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. Being 22 years old I will be in the first year of my second enlistment providing that I do not get NJP’d (non-judicial punishment) or something else dumb that I might get myself into. I look forward to joining the Marine Corps because of my long family military history and my extent of being a child of a military father. I plan on either being in the MOS (military occupational service) 1142 or 1345. I see myself having a degree by the end of those five years from online schooling while overseas on deployment or at my current duty station. Providing that I am a Sargent I will send in a request form in to become a DI (drill instructor) and then hopefully
I am a deputy for the Giles County Sheriffs Department. My initial exposure to law enforcement and the field of criminal justice originated during my 14 years in the Army. Through four deployments I gained various forms of experience over several disciplines, retaining useful knowledge from each. My deployments ranged from the role of a military police officer in Kaiserslautern, Germany to detainee operations in Camp Bucca, Iraq, and missions to train Jordanian and Bulgarian soldiers in tactical operations while in their countries. I was blessed in my military career to visit several countries, some allowing for more touristic opportunities than others.
Working within the Veterans Affairs work-study program has many different avenues that interest me. I have found that I have a great deal of passion working in customer service and the office environment. I feel that with my prior training and experience I would be a valuable asset within the organization. I am a very self-motivated person that is very dedicated to my job and to my coworkers. My prior experience has been in active duty Air Force where I served a 9 year enlistment before separating honorably as an E-5/ Staff Sargent.
As a young child, I learned that education would be beneficial to not only myself but also all humankind. Growing up in a Northeast Florida housing project my father and mother did the best they could to raise nine children. My father worked seven days a week in the service industry as a waiter and bartender while my mother worked as a domestic employee in the homes of more affluent people in the south. My father had an eleventh grade education and my mother had not passed the tenth grade before she bore her first child. Neither parent completed high school but they had dreams of their children far exceeding their educational accomplishments. I was child eight of the nine and I knew early on that I did not want to live
I am writing this letter to respectfully ask for your support in helping me become one of the many distinguished cadets at the United States Military Academy. I have achieved so much in my 16 years of life and being appointed into the academy will be very well-deserving and forthcoming to all the amazing opportunities that the academy has to offer. I have worked tremendously hard to obtain a 4.0 gpa and maintain a class rank in the top 100 of my 1000 person class. With your help I can hopefully be appointed as a West Point candidate for the class of 2022.
Since the beginning of the Army in 1775 till now, there have been many changes. We have gone from an all conscription Army to a completely volunteer force. We have gone through wars and times of peace. Gone from being praised, to being spit on, and back again. Through all the changes there has been one constant and that is the pride taken by all Soldiers in being called a Quiet Professional. It does not matter if the Soldier is at their home station or on the front lines, we all want to do our job, or profession, as professional as possible.
My Mother and Father relocated from Costa Rica to New York City where they met got married and where I was born. When I was just two years old, always wanting the best for us, my father moved our family from New York City to Jacksonville, FL in search of a better paying job and the American dream so he could provide us with a better quality of life. To ensure we were always clothed and feed, my father sacrificed everything for us and worked long hours to do so. Though I did have a pronounced, safe and active upbringing the North Florida school system didn’t expect much from the Hispanics that were starting to move to the then small town; unfortunately since my parents worked so much they expected the school system
I went pre-med before getting deployed and as an intern I've seen a lot of horrible things. But when it's your friend... Someone you serve with... It stays with you forever.
I humbly and respectfully request to be considered for a Command Master Chief position. My distinguished record as a leader and operator make me qualified for this position of trust and responsibility. My leadership philosophy is that an individual’s leadership skills continually evolve; however, there are elements that remain constant, such as respect, purpose, collaboration, heart, trust, and spirit. Carefully managing team synergy, harmonizing its dynamics, and maximizing the advantages of diversity in order to achieve collective success are challenges we should strive to undertake.
John F. Kennedy once said, '' Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country." On the other hand, ''the draft whether for military purpose or some form of national service, violates the basic moral principles of individual liberty upon which this country was found ''(Paul). As you can see the topic can be opinionated in different ways of preservatives so that's why this research paper will help you explore the history, controversial aspect, people involved, possible solutions, and a conclusion for the military draft.
Many people are concerned about the U.S. military because of how many risks come with joining it. However, the U.S. military also explains the benefits that one could receive. Joining the military is a decision that should not be taken lightly. One must understand all aspects of the military. In order for a voter to be fully informed about joining the US military, one must consider both the risks, like mental illnesses and commitment and benefits, like education, and experience.
I became interested in the criminal justice system after taking a law course in high school. As a female within the context of my religious and cultural background; having career in the criminal justice system is considered a non-traditional role for women and is frowned upon. Nevertheless, I decided to enter the Honours Program in Criminal Justice at the University of Winnipeg. During my research field placement at the Winnipeg Police Service and my work as research assistant for Dr. Weinrath and Dr. Karen Harlos I developed an interest in conducting my own research. My honours thesis on white-collar crime generated a curiosity in investigating crime perceptions and provided the background for my proposed project topic.
I have wanted to go into the military since i was very young. Most children say that they want to be a firefighter or a doctor, but i said that i wanted to be in the military. I remeber looking at pictures and learning about military officers and i felt called to be one of those men. My decision and dreams never changed, as most childrens do when they realize the work required. But for reasons beyond my comprehension, my desire of a miltary life never wavered. Both of my parents' fathers served in the military, one n the Air Force and one in the Army. They told me stories of their days in the military, bragging of their different branhes and I took what they said and choose a school that woud lead to a career in neither of their branches.
