“The United States Army is an American Profession of Arms, a vocation comprised of experts certified in the ethical application of land combat power, serving under civilian authority, entrusted to defend the Constitution and the rights and interests of the American people.” The American people trust us with their security and safety to defend our country from outside forces that would harm us.
The majority of the Soldiers that comprise the Army are called to serve and are proud to wear the uniform and serve the American Society. Soldiers are motivated to pursue this career because of a sense of duty, pride and brotherhood that the Army gives each soldier. The pursuit of this profession is honorable and a time honored tradition going back thousands of years. The morality of this career can be questioned, but no matter the opinion of the society its existence is necessary for the safety and defense of our country. People and countries will always try and do us harm but our Army is always ready to serve and

The role of the HR Sergeant is one that most overlook but without the HR SGT so much could not be processed or accomplished in so many aspects of the Army. We do functions as awards, PERSTAT, Records Review, and causality operations. HR professionals must know how to communicate effectively and respectfully. “ Being a Soldier means conducting yourself at all times so as to bring credit upon you and the Nation this is the core of our Army culture. Our Army is a unique society. We have military customs and time honored traditions, and values that represent years of Army history Our leaders conduct operations in accordance with laws and principles set by the U.S. Government and those laws together with Army traditions and Values require honorable behavior and the highest level of individual moral character…” (Student Handout,
The Army is an organization that imprints pride and discipline in its soldiers, both enlisted and commissioned officers, because of its

In America, a person going to war is praised for serving their country and protecting their people from the enemies. The soldiers also feel pride when they leave for war and are excited to serve their country. In reality war is not what an average person might think. Although it is
Soldiers risk their lives when they go into combat, they can get shot in the leg, arm, spine, or killed. This can prevent them from working when they come back. If they aren't in the army for a certain amount of years they won't get their retirement check. Even tho they get benefits it still might not be enough to support them.
For employees of the U.S Military including the air force, army, navy, marine and coastal guards, one can get tax advice and help from the free tax services provided by the Armed Forces Tax Council. These services are provided at different levels. If you are in the military or you are a veteran, you can find out more about these free services by enquiring from your local administrative office. Below is the structure of this free military tax service:
The US military is the most powerful organized military for any country in the world. There are currently 1.4 million active duty military personnel and they are paid for their efforts and duties. These brave men and women are paid because ever since the Vietnam War, the United States of America has had a professional military. This means that the common people are not required to serve. The quote that I am going to reflect on is as follows, “Since the Vietnam War, the U.S. wages war with a professional military, thus absolving Americans of any need to sacrifice for the common good. This has altered the relationship between the military and society in ways few Americans seem willing to acknowledge. When those who benefit most from
A soldier is not all physically engaging. There are many people who run a race to fight for a true cause and they are coined as a “solider” too. For example, in the song “Onward, Christian Soldiers”, from the 19th century creates the idea of an evangelical soldier (Sullivan). There
This job is very important to provide a safe community, but the army also has many physical and mental duties. It states in the Occupational Outlook Handbook that the U.S military work in jobs such as infantrymen or fighter pilots. The military puts a physical and mental strain on the body from hard labor in training and missions.
The job of a nation is to provide peace and comfort to its citizens. I like to think of America as one of the greatest nations in that aspect. America is a nation that keeps eliminating obstacles and traps set by harmful elements that try to hinder the progress that we have made for our well-being. The soldiers are its armor and strength, which has consequently helped the nation through hard times.
Leadership and the Army Profession The Army profession has and requires many different types of soldiers to operate too complete missions. With many different types of people in an organization a leader is needed to lead them. Whether it be commissioned officers or noncommissioned officers , the Army is full of great leaders.
"The soldier is the Army. No army is better than its soldiers. The Soldier is also a citizen. In fact, the highest obligation and privilege of citizenship is that of bearing arms for one’s country” (-General George S. Patton Jr). Here within our borders we are the lucky ones, we have been blessed with the pleasure of so many brave men and women; to volunteer in the world's greatest military; and put their lives on the line for something that they believe is a moral obligation. But, think of some other countries, that have conscription (the practice of ordering people by law to serve in the armed forces) laws. We as a nation have some laws on conscription, and if you are male and above the age of 18 you have already signed the slip of paper
First, one good reason to join the army is that a person can learn the ability to defend himself or herself and other people's lives. For instance he or she can learn the necessary experience and training in case there is a war. However, there is people who just can't do a job when they have to sacrifice their lives for others. There could be other reason like when some people don't feel capable of working these hard jobs. It could be a mental issue or a physical problem. It could be the possibility because of their religion.
As shown above, They’re in the Military for a purpose.People in the Military want to do something good/great for our country. They serve for the Military because they enjoy it. People in the Military want to make a change or a difference in the world. They want to be seen as heroes who safe people and not bad guys that kill and harm other people in this
Title There are many reasons why many people join the army. There are some unique opportunities in the forces. Most people think the military is just solders with weapons on the frontlines. This is just not the case. When you enlist in the army, you have the opportunity to receive a fully-funded education.
On one end, the military offers countless opportunities to make progress in various different career fields. The key word there is “opportunities” as it is much more difficult to actually get into one of these preferable practices when it comes to the military as opposed to the civilian process. In fact, many people join the service without even knowing what specific job they will be placed in. When it comes to the civilian side, the job selection is endless and more of a motivational barrier that prohibits the end goals. In contrast to this; however, the military provides a real-life experience that is unmatched in the educational aspect of pursuing a career as a civilian. In relation to the medical field for example, a field that requires great study to land a job in, “veterans gain valuable medical experience during their military service and should not be forced to take costly and redundant training, especially when it can keep them from getting a job they are qualified for” (Par 2 Enzi). This is a huge benefit gained by serving in the military, and the longer members serve, the more liable of candidates they become as the experience continues to build. Both have many pros and cons. The sky is the limit if you put the hard work and dedication into pursuing a career as a civilian whereas in the military one
