Milton Glaser is one of the greatest graphic designer in the United States. He was born on June 26, 1929. He was born in the Bronx of New York. He lived most of his live in New York. He created covers, poster, and also expressed himself using graphic designs. He attended Manhattan’s High School of Music and Art. He then got a Fullbright Scholarship to the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. When Glaser was twenty-five he created Push Pin Studios with Reyonld Ruffins, Seymour Chwast, and Edward Sorel. First, he thought of the purpose of the design. Was it for a certain company or group, or was it to express something. He had to be creative and include many perspectives in a usually simple design. He also had to make the design interesting to gain it more exposure. He needs to think of what community or demographic will be viewing the design, and fit it to that demographic.
Milton Glaser used color to make a design pop. He often uses black and white in the majority of a design. He will use any bright colors in certain places to put emphasis on the item. Glaser likes to use different reds, oranges, purples in his designs. One of his works, a poster for Bob Dylan, shows this style. Glaser created a silhouette that is black. The hair of the silhouette is very vibrant and colorful. This really brings the design to life and shows creativity.

During Latimer's second year of studies, the Civil War broke out and Latimer left VMI to serve the Southern Confederacy. Because of the war, many workers left their homes and jobs to become soldiers. One enlisted soldier from Norwich, Vermont was named Daniel Currier; a farmer that left his home to the treachery of war. Daniel Currier was a soldier who trained to enter battle, nonetheless, it was not the exciting adventure he most likely expected, he probably expected to battle with the South. Even when he did get onto the battlefield, it was more horrific than he would have ever thought After this horrifying encounter with war he decided to and headed back home to his loving family and work as a farmer. As the following describes, war is not pleasant, and coming home can be comforting.

Known for his paintings of everyday items in the American life, Wayne Thiebaud is “one of the most hardest-working artists in America” (Smithsonianmag.com). Born in Arizona and raised in California, Thiebaud grew to be interested in stage lighting and design in high school and from there went on to work as an illustrator, sign painter, and cartoonist. During the years 1942-1945 Thiebaud had the pleasure of working under Ronald Reagan’s command as an artist and cartoonist in the Special Services Department of The United States Air Force, and eventually got promoted to the First Air Force Motion Picture Unit.
In 1964 there was an artist, this man had made the grid style of art popular again, he was Chuck Close. Chuck had quite the tough childhood and when he got older it got worse. His life may have been made worse but he has always been a good artist, since the beginning and how he is making art now.

During his lifetime, he had endured hardships such death of loved ones. Though Milton had gone through several things, he has given us what is known today as one of the best poems created.
