We have received a request from Mulvane Police Department, to assist with the parade on August 19th at 1000 hours. Food will be provided to whoever works after the parade. They will need 3-4 deputies to assist with traffic control and one vehicle to be in the parade.
On October 8, 2017 at approximately 11:42pm, I, Officer Kyeishia Evans, with the Ville Platte Police Department, was dispatched to 210 Pecan Street, Ville Platte, Louisiana, in reference to a break in. Upon arrival I spoke with Kermit Miller, who stated he recently returned home from and noticed someone broke into his residence. Miller stated he left his residence as approximately 1:00pm, on Friday, October 6, 2017, and went fishing. He stated his wife was in Lafayette for the weekend babysitting. Miller showed me a glass panel on his patio door which was broken. Miller stated he has an alarm on his residence; however, he stated he did not have it on. On January 5th, 2017, the Muskogee Police Department began an investigation into the possession and distribution of child pornography, by the suspect, Zackery Perry (“Perry”)(MPD Case #2017-557). Through the investigation and the analysis of electronic evidence that Perry possessed and was collected during a search warrant of his residence, a local juvenile victim was identified as Brooklyn Skelton (“Brooklyn”)(age 7).

Minorities are majority of the time racial profiled by police everywhere they go. Many times it can be from driving down the highways to shopping around town. Many police will look at the color of the skin and automatic feel like minorities are criminal and up to something. Most police has become complacent with stereotyping and targeting majority minorities. In today’s society, this kind of events is very popular in the news.
