The mission statement and values are what first brought Seattle University to my attention. I want to be a leader in my community, and Seattle University encourages that type of character. I would love to help encourage creativity and social equality. Seattle is the perfect city to express yourself. It is important for me to be surrounded by people who celebrate diversity and justice. Four out of five students who attend SU do community service work. Volunteering has changed my life and it is not something that I do just for college applications and high school
The website www.missionstatements.com lists the mission of Dollar General as “Serving Others. For Customers, A Better Life. For Shareholders, A Superior Return. For Employees, Respect and Opportunity.” On their website, http://www2.dollargeneral.com/About-Us/pages/mission-profile.aspx, Dollar General shortens that to just “Serving Others,” however, navigating the website shows that Dollar General does work to incorporate the full mission statement into their day to day operations. I also understand the purpose of the term missional and the characteristics of it as well. When God set the world into place the missional church was on the rise.

I believe knowledge is the key to success, no matter what how each individual chose to continue their lives. Even the basic skills in life require some knowledge in order to be achieved. I believe that tutoring others was an experience that demonstrates the inspiration of learning. Because the students were pursuing help in education which shows their yearn for learning. One area of the Mission Statement that I have not experienced is building the “character to create a successful and responsible life.” I have not engaged myself in any activities within school that allowed me
