I believe my greatest accomplishment to date has definitely been being accepted into my number one school, Tuskegee University, despite my fears that I would be rejected based on my nontraditional schooling background. It had been a dream of mine since I visited the campus when I was little, a dream that only became stronger as I heard stories about the school from my parents. I had been confident that I would be accepted, but as I grew older and begun to compare my schooling to that of my peers - who attended public school - I began to think that such a dream would not come to fruition. Yes, I could proudly say that I had taken several college courses and I had documents ready to prove that I had learned something if requested, but that didn’t
The academic classes allows students to feel confident in his or her’s degree, while also having determined committed professional teachers that devote themselves to helping and building up strong students. I believe I can succeed at the University with the help of determined professors and ambitious counselors that devote themselves to the lives of students. The best way for a student to succeed is to never give up, but with the compassionate staff any student feels welcomed and driven to continue despite some falls.
UChicago’s ideology, like my own, is applied to panoply of disciplines. The Core would allow me to attain a broad knowledge base, while the flexibility of the curriculum would allow me to explore novel topics

College is the pinnacle of any education known to humankind, the sanctuary of knowledge, and the birth of new ideas and idealists. Since the University of Al-Karaouine was commissioned in 859 A.D., colleges have expanded their range of teachings from mathematics, physics, and foreign languages to many diverse fields that deal with nearly every aspect of today’s world. More academic institutions were established over the next millennia, but only a privileged few would be able to attend the schools of Paris, Oxford, and Montpelier. In addition to beneficial education in particular fields, colleges offer positive factors for their students. These factors include building relationships with students and professors while improving one’s standing
When thinking of what my unique qualities can contribute to the community at Florida Gulf Coast University, my thought was to study the university in its entirety. Florida Gulf Coast focuses on its national prominence in undergraduate studies. Its main objective is continuing to pursue academic excellence, promote environmental sustainability, and valuing their public service. My aspiration is being given the opportunity to contribute each of my strong qualities to the university, in helping them to continuously strive for excellence.
Framingham State University will prepare me for a productive life, enhance my learning and enhance my current leadership skills, intern this will contribute to my future once I graduate. An opportunity of this caliber would launch my learning and continue to ignite my passion for learning. I feel that all my experiences have lead me to find this school and get the most I can out of my time here if I get admitted.
Evaluation will be based on End-of-Topic quizzes, a midterm exam, four assignments, and a final exam as listed under “Grading Scheme” below. There is a quiz at the end of each topic/chapter. The midterm quiz covers chapters 1 to 9 inclusive and the final quiz covers the entire course. All the quizzes are True/False and multiple choice types available in Blackboard. All the quizzes are open-book but because of the limited time available to take a quiz, you must have good knowledge of the content before taking the test. You are responsible for checking Blackboard for the opening and closing dates and times of the quizzes. No extensions will be allowed.
Today, almost 14 years later after my first encounter with books, I like to consider myself as a passionate dreamer and a quiet thinker. That is the reason why I want to pursue my education in an institution where I get to think, experiment and deliver. I want to go beyond the boundaries of traditional learning and come out of my comfort zone. Without a doubt, Quest University is that place for me. One of the reasons that first attracted me to
Graeme Wood’s “The Future of College?” (The Atlantic, September 2014) analyzes a new style of higher education. Woods experienced a new high tech style of higher education developed by Ben Nelson as a replacement for brick and mortar colleges. Nelson’s new age high tech concept for higher education is called the Minerva Project. The Minerva Project is an attempt to maximize student learning in a high tech environment, eliminating all the so called unnecessary aspects of a traditional college and focusing on higher education.
In so doing, many universities have manufactured artificial utopias based on a philosophy of avoiding, not confronting, unpopular ideas, and of pacifying, not empowering, students in the pursuit of knowledge. In this way, some universities have become equivalent to the anxiety-riddled parent who shelters a child from the evils of the world, only to find out years later that the child is woefully unprepared for life’s challenges. The same result occurs when
UChicago then became the “evilest” university I knew. (I wondered how many people wrote about a mathematics test…) The wit and creativity are something I have not seen in my education, where there are prescribed answers to the “thinking cap” questions. I believe education could be an experience, an adventure, a journey; an endeavor to triumph over the “evilness” that challenges students to stretch their boundaries of thought and imagination.
By not only providing academics support but also additives such as sports and a broad range co-curricular activities your institution innovatively helps the students become good citizens and leaders in the modern dynamic democratic society. The mission is well enshrined in the institution's curriculum and general culture a fact that adds to its values. Besides high ethical values of integrity,
Other article written by Kuh, Kinzie, & Buckley (2006), says setting a high expectations, then maintaining students accountable passion with perseverance is an effective strategy to achieve their goals. With high expectations students performance will define institutions, higher than students engagement and to the graduation rates were students were trying to adjust behaviour regardless to prior academic history of the environment. Although with the works of actions, students must not let themselves drown with too much expectations and forgot the realistic or present things happenings around them. Whereas they must be accompanied by realistic advice about degree completion or to what necessary things to succeed. This suggests this cohort
