Qualities found in moderately good movies are when movies don’t have the average ending. Movies that are outstanding tend to have the most unexpected endings. The quality that is the most annoying part of most movies is the denouement. I loathe the endings of movies because if the movie is good, the ending will be cliche, but if the movie is more than the average, and the ending is unique, then I hate that the movie stops. Impeccable movies are the ones that demonstrate the way life works by showing that the odds are not always in your favor. My personal favorite movie is called “MockingJay Part 2” because it is the exact opposite of the typical happy ever after movie. In this novel, this girl’s sister and friends die, she is betrayed by her
I would definitely recommend this for people who like Fantasy/ Science Fiction. This movie was very sad with Primrose dying, also Finnik died, and a lot of little kids die too, war, and more emotional moments. Of course Jennifer Lawrence was a phenomenal actor (as always). Well anyways it was a vey good movie and I did in fact cry. My mom said we might have to even see it a second time. Oh by the way spoiler alert Katniss ends up with Peeta and they have two kids in the end.
The cast of the "Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2" honored the victims of the synchronized series of terrorist aggressive actions that hit Paris. They were all wearing a French flag ribbons at the final premiere of the franchise on Nov. 16 in Los Angeles.
Author uses Atticus teach these lessons through his wise words. Atticus teaches these lessons to not only the audience, but Jem and Scout too. Some of the main things he teaches his kids about are understanding people, using the mind instead of the body, the cruel reality of stereotypes, and true
Aside from the fact that being a responsible person is a potent trait to have, being responsible has many benefits such as being triumphant in life and having an adequate reputation.
The most memorable movies have the most adventures within the plot. The movie Real Steel has a plot that is unordinary to most. This plot is set into the future, it includes robot fighting arenas and ways people gamble in the future years. This is a very interesting movie because when thinking about the future robot fighting is not something that comes to mind. So seeing this as a way of the future is exciting. The Blind Side has so many different components within it so there is never a dull moment. Some things that it includes is family issues, school problems, and inequality, this is something that many people can relate to so it is compelling for them. Another movie is Finding Dory with many adventures and journeys within it. By going through the journey to find Dory's family and get connected back to her roots. This is a thrilling movie because between all the adventures there is always something happening and the moral of the movie tells a whole other story. Adventures, excitement, tragedy, and fulfillment are all characteristics a well written plot should have for the best
As the famous American author, Nerburn, says,“It is much easier to become a father than to be one”(http://www.wiseoldsayings.com/fathers-quotes). Nerburn writes about how hard it is to be an eligible father .He proposes the question, “Do people think their father is the person who is able to provide them a lot of guidance or help? In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Jem and Scout live with their father, Atticus, who is a lawyer, and regard him as an excellent example. However, Scout and Jem don’t value Atticus as a father with full diligence because he is elder than most of other students’ father and he is not able to do any sports. Due to the accident with the mad dog, atticus’s educations and the case of Tom Robinson, Jem and Scout come to understand, respect, and finally admire their father.
Growing up is a difficult task, especially when the town around you doesn’t offer to help you understand what’s going on around you. Using many examples of the loss of childhood innocence, Harper Lee shows us that a corrupted society leads to growing up faster and one’s childhood is stripped away. Through Jem, the eldest of the Finch children, and Scout, the youngest, the readers see how a trial in 1930 Alabama takes a toll of young minds. In Lee’s novel To Kill a Mockingbird, she implies that growing up leads to loss of innocence, especially in troubling times.
Scorpius Malfoy sat at a Three Broomsticks table, next to his best and only friend, Albus Potter, and across from his wife of 6 months, Rose Malfoy. They had each ordered a butterbeer, and were making small talk (a.k.a., Scorpius and Rose were telling Albus about what’s happening with them while Albus listens, drinks, and stays quiet). When conversation hit a lull, Scorpius took notice of his friends unusual silence.
The Top Tens calls the film, “such a great story with a touching ending,” while Rotten Tomatoes states
In To Kill A Mockingbird, a novel by Harper Lee, Jem and Scout discover many items inside the knothole of a tree. Before Nathan Radley plugs the knothole with cement, Jem and Scout had found a gray ball of twine, carvings made from soap, a pack of gum, a broken pocket-watch, and many more items. The two are very disappointed when Nathan plugs the knothole. Jem is especially sad when he realizes that Nathan had lied to him when he told Jem that the tree was sick. In chapter eight, Jem concluded that Boo Radley is the one leaving these gifts for them. I think it is awesome and interesting that Arthur is leaving these items for Jem and Scout, and if I were him, I would also leave gifts in the Radley tree for those two.
Harper Lee shows us how broken or “fallen” the adult world really is in her novel To Kill a Mockingbird. The adults in the novel are responsible for their children and how they grow up, so they have to change to make a better future for them. Unfortunately, most of the adults in Lee’s novel continue on with their discriminatory and unruly behaviour and proceed to teach their children the same unjust and immoral ways of life they were taught. Lee feels that if adults continue to be closed-minded to new, better ways of life, to keep demonstrating racism and unfairness, and to keep teaching their children to have certain views for certain people such as women or “negroes”, then nothing is going to change and the new generation will be just as broken as the adults.
In both the text “To Kill a Mockingbird” written by Harper Lee and the film “A Time to Kill” directed by Joel Schumacher, similar ideas are presented using language devices and stylistic features in differing ways to appeal to their target audience. Each have very similar storylines in which a white lawyer defends a an African-American in a prejudiced court case. Racism is a key idea presented strongly in each due to the eras they are set in. The era and country set in each story provide a strong base for the prominent issue. With the unpleasant happenings in each text and through the racist acts the idea of compassion shines through. As well as compassion being a significant idea, forgiveness is also presented through the racists acts.
Before high school, it seemed practically every book I read was my favorite. I was unable to choose just one to hold this title, but in my freshman English class we read “To Kill a Mocking Bird” by Harper Lee. After reading this book I knew that this was the one to hold the lofty title of my favorite book. This the story of a small southern town in Alabama where the Finch’s live. Scout becomes fascinated with an individual nicknamed Boo in a scary house. After small interactions with this individual, her view slowly begins to change. Her father, a lawyer, chose to defend an African-American who was accused of raping a white girl. This choice rattled the community and brought hatred onto the Finch’s. The man was innocent, but was convicted by
In the book Mockingjay, by Suzanne Collins, there is a character named Katniss that has to face her struggles of maintaining friendships after getting picked up from the Quarter Quell and taking down the Capitol. In the book The Ship of the Dead, by Rick Riordan, there is a character named Magnus Chase who has to venture to different worlds and stop the villain named Loki and his ship from starting the end of the world or Ragnarok. These books may sound different such as having the author have different craft moves, but they have have similarities such as having the both books be written in first person and the similarities between the themes of friendship and perseverance.
The story, in the eyes of two innocent children Scout and her brother Jem, of the discrimination and hypocrisy throughout the town. Maycomb County, Alabama, faces an African American’s injustice while the children learn valuable lessons from their father, Atticus and their housemaid Calpurnia, during the Great Depression. All the while, we are learning from it. To Kill a Mockingbird teaches us the lessons of morale, justice and equality.
