China uses a communist government, believing that each citizen must be completely equal to another and that the government has much of the ruling power. Unlike China, modern Japan operates through a constitutional democracy, which gives more freedom to its citizens and provides women with more rights. The economic growth of China and Japan differ as well. The economic outlook of Japan, found on document A, states that the GDP of Japan peaked in 1995, at around 5,000 billion U.S. dollars. However, with China, the GDP is growing exponentially and has still not hit its peak. As of 2013, the GDP of China was nearly 10,000 billion U.S. dollars. This difference indicates what each country’s economy values. According to document C, the comic refers to Japan’s import and exports. The comic depicts Japan’s imports as a large ship, however, the door for the imports to enter into Japan being incredibly small. This symbolizes the fact that Japan’s imports are coming into the country extremely slowly, whereas the country is exporting good at a much higher pace. This is the reason behind its deteriorating economy. With exports leaving faster than imports coming into the country, Japan’s GDP is far worse than China’s. Japan and China contrast in a multitude of ways but are united through similarities as
Between circa 1925 and circa 1950, the relations between the Chinese peasants and the Chinese Communist Party became out of hand due to the peasant rebellions/uprising groups present, the tension between Japan and the communist party, and most notable the mass reform during this time period.
“Warning states”. Stability means to be strong. A dynasty is a family thats continues to rule for a very long time. Ancient China created stability by landowners, creating cities, and Great Wall Of China.
Japan and Great Britain were similar in many ways. Such as they were both islands. They also had many good ports all around the ocean coastline. They were also very small areas, which led to them starting to practice imperialism and industrialization. Japan is a small island located in the Pacific Ocean.
Systems of government have a major influence on the development and success of a civilization and culture. This can be said about Athens during its Golden Age and about China during the Han dynasty. Han China was ruled by an imperial bureaucracy based upon the teachings of Confucius which allowed only a tiny part of its population to participate in government. In contrast, 5th Century Athens was a direct democracy which allowed a greater number of its inhabitants to take part in governing. These civilizations differed greatly in geography, population and size which influenced their development. They also held contrasting beliefs regarding the source of political authority and how it was maintained. However, these civilizations also shared
Although Japan and Western Europe did not have any direct contact with one another during the medieval period, they independently developed similar social as well as political systems. Japan and Western Europe were both feudal systems, but they had numerous differences in the way their systems were run. Japan had samurais and Western Europe had knights. Their two different sets of warriors also followed different codes of honor. Samurais followed bushido, and knights followed chivalry. They had some similarities in how they were both self-sufficient and didn’t trade a lot.
Although, in the earlier modern years Europe and Japan didn't talk much or have really any contact with one another the developed kind of the same they were very similar.
While differing ecomically and politically in their responses to western penetration, Japan and China had similarities in the way of geography. China only allowed Europeans to trade with it in a limited number of ports and cities, which limited the amount of goods Europeans were allowed to transfer overseas. Japan isolated itself as a whole from trade for an entire decade, and when it did open it was cautious towards westerners. Additionally, both were bordered by the ocean at least to a certain extent – Japan was surrounded entirely, being an island, by water, and a large percentage of China’s borders was water. It is because of this that the third similarity arose – both did trade by ocean. China with Britain, simply because it was the easiest, cheapest, and most efficient form of travel between the two, and Japan because there was obviously no choice considering Japan is an island. These geographical similarities arose purely from the coincidence that both were bordered by the ocean, which created the necessity for boats and by the time the opportunity for trade
Because Japan and France both existed within the genre of feudal society, they shared many economic similarities. Both feudal systems had common qualities of fief organization, similar inheritance customs, taxing systems and issues with debt, and the lack of social mobility characteristic of feudalism.
Some of the similarities that China and Japan share are having rich and traditional cultures as well as similar religions. As stated in the article “It is constantly looking for better tools and techniques that will make it a world leader.”, both countries develop their technology skills based on other ideas and coming up with better ways to design their technology. Both Japan and China have changed their society in ways such as moving from agricultural to manufacturing. Because they are embracing management philosophies and technological progress they are leading to more affordable quality systems.
Since the relation between China and Japan is so rich in history, we need to look back and evaluate what are the causes for this great animosity. China has greatly influenced Japan with language, culture, religion, and philosophy. However, Japan moved towards modernization quicker and started viewing China as an antiquated civilization.
The geographical factor made Japan isolated from other landmass and contributed to form a sense of racial and cultural homogeneity all over the Japan. Japan is an island country. Like China, Japan is mountainous country with mountains of volcanic origins. The soils of volcanic origins were extremely fertile for production and it was the core reason that Japan was an agricultural paradise. Besides that, as an island country Japan had significant impact on its history. Unlike China, Japanese civilization was not constantly under threat of invaders from other land. Therefore, it helped Japan to strengthen the Japanese sense of ethnic and cultural uniqueness. These also allowed them to introduce foreign ideas without worrying about diminutions
China and Japan are both countries with different strengths and weaknesses. China’s economic problems may not be the same as Japan’s. Each country follows the principles of their own economic system, which means different problems will arise.
The countries Vietnam and China both are countries from Asia. They both have particularly similar and different traits. Even if Japanese tell other people that they are from Japan, some people still misunderstand that they are Chinese. Although there are various of similarities, there are a lot of differences. The two countries of Japan and China demonstrate similarities and differences between appearance, alphabet, and New Year celebration to help one to understand the cultural identity of each country.
Japan has always been one of my favorite places mostly because of their culture. Japanese language has always been an interest of mine, and is home of my favorite genre Anime. They also created my favorite game which is Pokémon which is another 20 page paper itself. Japanese pop culture lifestyle is very interesting because they always move with the trends of the world and they freely express themselves to what they believe in. Japanese are not like the boring Chinese people who keep to themselves and want to be known as a third world country but I’m not going to continue to bad mouth the Chinese people because the hold their traditions sacred and really do not care for the pop culture lifestyle like Japanese people or Japan. Even though Japan was not on our side during WWII and China was on our side during this time. In all honesty, I cannot judge their lifestyles because for one that is their lifestyle and two because it is not broke so it does not need any fixing (to them). Now back to my reasons for liking Japan, over China, which is easily seen, “No Shade”. China is just tries to shut out the rest of the world Japan had done that in the 17th century but changed not long after. I like china because they have a vast history but that’s about all I like about them. Japan also has a rich and vast history that I love and they are not secluded like China “No Shade”. Japanese people openly accepts change and they move forward sure they keep their tradition that are sacred to
