Human trafficking has been entwined into the structure of governments, arms trade, drug trade, and even spreads as far as terrorism. For many years it has been a fact that the money that has been made by selling other humans to the highest bidder. It is also known that the organized crime operations generate one of the most profitable resources to the organization. These organizations use this money for theirs or other’s crime and end up in the hands of drug lords. Drug lords, in order to promote their own business give money to support terrorist groups and activities. Security after September 11, 2001 has recognized human trafficking as a national and international security risk.

Overview: Every country in the world has now abolished slavery, yet millions of people continue to find themselves subject to contemporary forms of slavery and human trafficking, such as child labor, sex traf-ficking and forced or bonded labor. By being an undocumented immigrant, runaway and homeless youth, and a victim of trauma and abuse, you have already put a target on your back. My main topic throughout this paper will be human trafficking. Human trafficking is when people get transported from different areas for commercial sex act and forced labor; like a slave trade, recruitment and abduction. The most common types of human trafficking are forced labor, and sex trafficking. Forced labor is more of being forced to work or do anything against your well. Sex trafficking is modern day slavery and the which the trafficker uses forces and fraud to get the person to take part in commercial sex.

Sex trafficking occurs when someone uses force, fraud to cause a commercial sex act with an adult or causes a minor to commit a commercial sex act. A sex commercial includes prostitution, pornography and sexual performance done in exchange for any item item of value, such as money, drugs, shelter, food or clothes. Sex trafficking is the modern day slavery and must be recognized internationally this crime needs to be weeded out. Victims from sex trafficking can be from the U.S. , foreign nationals, women, men, and children.Traffickers target most Runaway, and Homeless youth.
