A laptop can be very helpful in education field, especially in vocabulary learning through many activities that the students can do using this tool. Students can install vocabulary learning software in it. By connecting to the Internet, they can employ vocabulary game online. Moreover, a computer is completed with CD-Rom, so that the student can play English movies and song using it. The portability that the laptop offers, provides easiness and efficiency for the students to learn vocabulary. They can put it in a bag and bring anywhere they go. Then, whenever they get new vocabulary and want to know what the meaning is, they can turn on the laptop and search the meaning in software dictionary. The laptop is more useful in vocabulary learning than other tools. That statement is supported by Stockwell (2007, 2010).

It is estimated that one in every sixty eight children will be diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (CDC, 2014). In schools around the country these students are struggling in their classroom environment due to deficits in three areas; communication skills, social skills, and repetitive behaviors or interest (Marder & Fraser, 2012). Implementing the use of technology in the classroom like iPad, iPod, android tablets, e-readers, and computers is beneficial to students with autism spectrum disorder. It can increase communication skills, can help make their classroom experience more pleasant, and it gives them the best chance at success.
More than 50 percent of people in the U.S.A have some type of technology device either with them or at their house; maybe even both. Daily life has changed so much over the years due to the technological advancements. Technology has changed many things about communication skills, entertainment, and even activities.
Introduction. New technologies in the classroom are a cutting-edge field of study in contemporary history. Education is now going digital. With the creation of online software for students, the lessons learned in the classroom have shown more efficiency and has made a big contribution to higher literacy rates for students. Not so many years ago, the internet was limited both in what it could do and in who used it. Today, most teachers have not only been exposed to the internet but also have access at home and at school. As we become increasingly more reliant and absorbed in technology, it is no surprise that today’s children have become avid users as well. Laptops are being developed for children as young as five. Smart phones are now in the hands of children as young as ten. In fact, a large number of schools are being retrofitted to place the internet in every classroom. Technology has become an integral part of the majority of Americans’ daily lives. We get our news through various websites and digital newspapers, pay bills, manage our love lives, send and receive mail, and find information all on the Internet. More than 500 million people communicate and keep in touch with friends through social networking. Our new technologically driven lives are thanks to the constantly developing and affordable technology available in the United States. (Simmons) Great performance on visual tasks have been reported in children with ASD, which further validates the use of technology as an effective way to help students with Autism succeed in schools. Due to children with Autism typically having difficulty communicating with appropriate verbal expressions and physical gestures, the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) was created by the Delaware Autism Program. This program uses photographs, drawings, and pictures of objects, which are now available with technology. The PECS system was created in 1985 in a physical format, but can now be accessed using mobile devices. The use of applications was discussed by Kate Simmons (ND). There are a plethora of applications available, some of which assist students with ASD. One application is MyVoice which was design to assist with speech and language difficulties. The individual can select the picture they desire, and then build sentences to communicate what they want. Also SocialSkillBuider is an application that has modules to assist students with interactions and social situations they common face in a day. Give Me 5! Also helps with social skills, by having individuals analyze social situations in a gaming format. These are just a few of the applications available for assisting individuals with ASD. This paper is a policy brief to be given to teachers and the school board. It examines two ethical concerns regarding the use of iPads within the classroom. The first concern discussed is the psychological and behavioral problems that can arise from unmonitored time on the device. The second, is the possible hampering of children’s understanding of causal relationships and the self through substituting lived experiences. From there, the paper continues to consider the good that can come of incorporating iPads in to the classroom through an examination of studies of the effects of the device on the ability to engage students and increase learning; and also, the benefits of iPads in helping special needs children to communicate. With the ethical concerns and the benefits in mind, three recommendations for use are provided to help the teachers and school board to safely and ethically incorporate iPads into the classroom to provide teachers with the apparatuses needed to support educational aims.
The author provided a literature review of the popularity of use of the iPad in the classroom, among students with or without disabilities. The review found that students with disabilities had greater engagement and behavioral response rates when using iPads and teaching applications on the iPads as opposed to more traditional methods of teaching. Through this background knowledge, the author sets up her research proposal.
To encourage the development of social skills students are encouraged to interact with one another throughout the day in a variety of methods, including partner work, small group activities, and large group activities. These teaching techniques enable autistic children to relate to their peers. As autistic children relate to their peers more they are more accepted and in turn continue to learn and acquire new and improved social skills.

Omer Faruk Sozcu, Smail Ipek, Erkan Taskin all agreed that "The establishment of preschool children's classroom environmental setting needs to be able to guide children in to participating in active play, silent reading, music, drawing, blocks ...ECT. for motivating children's interests." Which brings up the impact of technology on teaching and learning; in my classroom we use an app on the ipad called speakazoo which is an interactive zoo experience; the friendly speakazoo animals will ask you questions and respond appropriately. Although I personally feel that, since we downloaded the app our children have increased the amount of talking they do, not only with the app animals but with their friends and teachers; There are others that feel using these electronic learning devices takes away from important human interaction that children need at that age.
