Traditional tales are a reflection of culture in which they are told due to various aspects such as their concern with goddesses, gods, and other supernatural creatures that relate to humans. The importance of myths being traditional tales and a reflection of culture displays the civilization and society of a myth and its truths. Human culture conserves historical records within the human language. It is known that humans were passing oral stories soon after they developed the ability of speech, resulting in important supernatural events and dates to be told before the present day, though they are accepted as “imaginative creations similar to Greek tragedies.”.(P. Ian. Myth in the Ancient World (Palgrave, 2012), p. 11. They also do not have a known author, which results in the inevitability of multiple versions of a specific story being told. By means of this, ancient traditions reflected numerous elements of culture.
To begin with, traditional tales are known as an oral tradition within storytelling, allowing several generations and different cultures to pass down the culture they knew to the newer generations. A substantial amount of the traditional tales have been rewritten in various forms and have also become printed literature. The tales are extremely important within a society because it carries culture in which the culture forms itself around. Due to this, tales express many differences such as social practices, the beliefs of the creators who believed in them,
Biblical myth probably covers the greatest range of human situations, encompassing all ages of life including the next life, all relationships whether personal or governmental, and all phases of the individual’s experience, physical, sexual, psychological, spiritual (p.
One very interesting aspect of the human experience is the manner in which certain themes appear again and again over time, in literature, religion, mythology, and culture regardless of the geographic location, the economic status, and the time period. Perhaps it is the innate human need to explain and explore the known and unknown, but to have disparate cultures in time and location find ways of explaining certain principles in such similar manner leads one to believe that there is perhaps more to myth and ritual than simple repetition of archetypal themes. In a sense, then, to acculturate the future, we must re-craft the past, and the way that seems to happen is in the synergism of myth and ritual as expressed in a variety of forms (Bittarello)
Myth is a body of story that matters—the patterns present in mythology run deeply in the human psyche

Folk tales are usually told for amusement and people don’t believe in them. Myths are considered sacred and completely true.
When people think of myths they usually think of the Greek or the roman but there are many more cultures with myths but they usually all relate to the same things. Myths are the traditional story, especially one concerning the early history of a culture (NA“ Myths”). One of the most popular myths is the Greek story of Hercules the strongest mortal alive. Did you know that the native American tribe Blackfoot used myths too? Yes, they did many native American tribes used myths too ,but they are more likely to be called a fable or a folktale. There is a tale of a Crow Brings the Daylight which is related to the Greeks story when Apollo son of Zeus rides a gold chariot over the sky and carries the sun. As a student engaged in the American Education System the only time I was exposed to Native American folklore was when I was fortunate enough to take an American History course or read their stories in English class as examples to analyze. What we often times did not read, however, were the roles these folktales played as crucial to the customs of Native American society. Although, as I have begun to read more Native folktales within my undergraduate English course I can analyze the impact of folklore on the Native American Culture.
Since the dawn of time, every culture has created stories trying to explain natural phenomena. These stories, in many cases, defined the way of life in each culture and make each society distinct from one another. Two examples would be stories of creation from the Norse and Native Americans and the discovery of fire with the Mayan and Chinese. While these stories come from different cultures, they share many similarities.
Mythology is the traditions that have been passed down orally, among a culture, for many generations. Myths can include several different elements, often varying slightly. Most include fantasy or unnatural characters, such as monsters, dragons, gods and goddesses. Myths generally tell a story which is the basis for many beliefs among a culture. Greek and Roman myths encompass the gods that the cultures worship. Myths often serve to teach a lesson or play on superstitions. The origin is unknown and because it has been handed down orally, there are variations in the story. The story often travels around to other cultures also. This leads to similar myths among cultures. Once upon a time, there was a literary genre commonly know as fairy tales. They were mystical and wonderful and a child’s fantasy. These fairy tales were drastically misunderstood throughout many centuries, however. They endured a hard life of constant changing and editing to fit what the people of that time wanted. People of our own time are responsible for some of the radical changes endured by this undeserved genre. Now, these fairy tales had a young friend named Belle. Belle thought she knew fairy tales very well, but one day she found out just how wrong she was.
Sex work is regarded as one of the world’s oldest profession; this is the exchange of sex for money by consenting adults. Most of people are saying that selling sex is degrading; and no one should ever choose to do it; it's dangerous and women can get abused and killed. There is an fact that most people would say "Sex work should be criminalization!" And maybe that sounds equitable to you. However, does it still sound reasonable to you when you working two dead-end, minimum-wage jobs, every month your wages would just replenish your overdraft. Then the decision sex for money should be considered as a better option, right! But don't get it wrong – of course people would have loved to have won the lottery instead; but it wasn't going to happen anytime soon. Hence, by decriminalizing sex work, it brings a significant benefit result in making profitable from the sex industry, decreasing the number of social evil issues and increasing sex workers’ access to justice and promote safe work conditions. It is time to put aside moralistic prejudices, whether based on religion or an idealistic form of feminism, and do what is in the best interests of sex workers and the public as a whole.
“The life of an artist is a gamble, what a gamble, it’s all or nothing.” As for post-impressionist and Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh, nothing is what was received. Out of the nine-hundred paintings produced within ten years, only one was sold. Van Gogh was often ridiculed by other artists about his work and he had very few friends. One of his closest friends was his younger brother Theodorus “Theo” van Gogh. Vincent would often write to Theo and on various occasions he would write about the hardships of life, including the ways in which he was treated. In one particular letter he wrote “I wish they would only take me as I am.”
