An adult capuchin monkey can grow anywhere between 12.6 to 22 inches in height excluding the tail, which can be anywhere from 15 to 22 inches in length. During my travels, I took a trip to Costa Rica to enjoy the beaches, the views, the surfing, as well as to see my favorite animals, sloths. I found myself exploring the Sloth Sanctuary of Costa Rica whose mission is to place focus on the rescue, rehabilitation, release and research of sloths and conserving the Costa Rican rainforest. Many of the sloths in the sanctuary were recovering from wounds due to human interference. While sloths have evolved over 64 million years making them perfectly designed for a quiet life in the rainforest, humans are encroaching on sloth homes much faster than our lazy friends can adapt. One day, monkey was taking a walk in the forest, the great outdoors, when he heard a mysterious noise. He thought it was just his imagination until he discovered a gigantic footprint in the mud so, he measured the length and width of it. The footprint was approximately 3 feet long and 1 foot wide. After measuring the footprint, he continued on his walk even though he was nervous about the strange footprint meaning something dangerous was around. One day monkeys ruled the world. Everyone was under the command of the monkeys. It was like the planet of the apes. All of the monkeys attacked all at once. They used mopeds. The continent of Africa is home to some of the most unique and fearsome creatures known to man. It ranges from giraffes and onyx to lions and tigers. However, with hunting and changes in environment, populations have begun to dwindle and species have become vulnerable and endangered. One of these species is the African Wild Dog, or Lycaon pictus. The population is becoming smaller, threatening the special species with extinction. It is a unique dog that has been known to run up to 44 miles per hour, and can be seen taking down prey much larger than itself (Creel, 2002). The African Wild Dog is a very unique creature in that it has its own behavior, population, community, and ecological interaction that is being threatened, but with the proper conservation efforts it can be saved for the future.

In 1947, a rhesus monkey, that was currently living in the zika forest of Uganda, had developed an unknown illness. Three days after researchers found the infected monkey, an investigator took a blood sample from it and injected it into the brains of swiss mice. The mice showed signs of illness after 10 days. Then they harvested the brains of the mice and isolated a “filterable transmissible agent.” The following January, the researchers trapped mosquitoes and took them back to their lab hoping to isolate the yellow fever-like virus. Researchers had shown that one of the species of mosquito caught, Aedes africanus, was a vessel of the yellow fever virus, so the investigators put 86 of them in a fridge trying to render them inactive. After they were stilled, researchers concluded that they carried the same illness the rhesus monkey had. After many decades of scientists and researchers trying to trying to pick up where the first investigators left off, William Bearcroft went as far as to infect himself with the virus to prove that zika can indeed infect humans. Up until today, there still have not been many breakthroughs with the idea of the zika virus infection.

In the text version "The Monkey's Paw", the mood is developed through the setting of the story. In the starting of the story, the narrator said, "Without, the night was cold and wet, but in the small parlour of Laburnam Villa the blinds were drawn and the fire burned brightly." (Jacobs 1). These sentences sets the scene for the story. This sets the mood which is creepy because it is dark, cold, and wet this makes the setting spooky and creepy. Likely in the play of the "Monkey's Paw", the mood is developed through the lighting. In the beginning of the play, there was snowy background in the back which was shown through the windows on the door. There were also flashing lights which represented the lighting outside. These things showed that it is cold and wet and dark same as the story. Because there is lighting we know it is raining outside, because we can see the snow we can expect it to be cold outside, and because it is dark outside we know it is night. A dark, wet, and cold makes the setting creepy and spooky. This is the same as the text version which had the same mood through the setting. In the text version "The Monkey's Paw", the mood is developed through the actions of the main character.
