Think about this, your in the car and your sister or brother is in there with you. You've only been in the car with them for a few minutes and you’re already getting annoyed, right? Imagine being stuck in a small house with them without being able to go outside. It would be hard. Anne Frank did exactly that for twenty-five months with not only a few people but seven other people. They had no clue what was going on in the outside world so when they found out things that were happening imagine there reactions. The historical events in the play Anne Frank impact the mood and relationships of the characters immensely.
The mood gets changed multiple times in the play. One way it gets changed is when they find out that Jews are getting taken away.
Staying in an annex for two years without going outside may have been uncomfortable, but it gave everyone a better chance at survival. Character interaction, stage directions, and Anne’s diary are three significant ways historical events are portrayed in The Diary of Anne Frank. This play shows the reader that history can be written in many different
The mood of the characters has been directly affected because of the historical events that take place throughout the story. Mrs. Frank is feeling very down about the situation involving the war, when she states, “Think of the thousands dying in the war, every day. Think of the people in concentration camps.” (Goodrich, Hackett, 164) Whenever Mrs. Frank thinks negatively about the situation, Anne gets very frustrated with her. She does not believe that anyone should be thinking with a fixed mindset at a time like this. She expresses
As you are introduced to the story of Anne Frank, you meet many characters with distinct personalities. The one character with the most contrasting personality is Anne Frank. Above anyone else, Anne is always cheerful and positive despite the awful situation she’s in. Throughout the book, you see how Anne matures into a young woman. All of the other characters are very different from Anne, but the most opposite would be Peter.
Many people were hurt by Adolf Hitler's plans and one thing he achieved was killing six million Jewish people including children. Anne Frank and her family were one of them. They lived in a secret and tiny annex where Otto used to work. They started off just going to stay there for a few months till the Allied Forces could invade Holland but that didn’t work out. In the drama wrote by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett eight people crowded into annex for 2 long years not being able to go outside. Many historical events were impacted in the drama Anne Frank. Even though these problems took place outside of the secret annex it changed the mood and relationships of the character.
A loud thud comes from the door, “Everyone out!”, and Anne’s two year hideout with her family comes to a crashing end. Anne Frank is a thirteen-year-old who went through a horrible era for jews like her called “The Holocaust.” Anne is an inspiration, because she was always positive, she was strong and brave, and she was an extraordinary writer for her age.
The Holocaust was a tragic event in history where millions of Jews were sent to concentration and death camps to be killed. Though there was a lot of negativity in the world at this time some people still seemed to stay positive. One girl, Anne Frank said, “In spite of everything, I still believe people are really good at heart.” Despite of everything Anne still tried to stay positive even when they had to go into hiding. I would have to agree with Anne because of Mr. Frank’s actions especially when he put everyone else before himself. Although I could see where some people would disagree with me because of Mr. Dussel's actions in the play and how rude he was.
The Holocaust was a dark time period where millions of people were killed, including a young girl named Anne Frank (“Anne Frank.” The Famous People website). She died at the age of fifteen from horrible treatment and deadly laboring for hours and hours (Feldman). She left all her belongings and memories so she could be safe from the German Nazi’s. Her early prepared her helped her get through and watch her country be destroyed by the holocaust in which she tragically died in.
In the play “Diary of Anne Frank” Anne has dissimilar relationships with her father and mother. She and her dad's relationship is very close and means the universe both. In the play, you can tell Anne and her father's relationship is very close because Anne says “ I model myself after father, and there is no one I love more. “ Also you can tell Otto Frank Is invested in Anne's education and her attitude to make sure she grows to be a responsible and respectable woman. Anne and her mother's relationship is just as vital to her growth as her father's relationship. In the play her mother is very hard on Anne and wants her to turn out like Margot, you can tell because in the play Anne said “ We were brutally robbed when my mother and I were shoved
In Anne Frank’s Diary, Anne writes about each person in hiding with her. From Anne’s point of view, each character has a different personality: from Otto being portrayed as a loving father to Mrs. Van Daan being shown as a selfish prick. Although the one character I relate to the most if Margot. One example is how I am an influence on my younger siblings. In the middle of Act 1 Scene 3, Mrs. Frank wants Anne to act more like Margot. Edith wants Anne to be more mature and quiet since they are hiding. Although Anne refuses and believes that Mr. and Mr. Van Daan would be walking over her just like they are with Margot. In real life, my brother, Simon, looks up to me. My mom has mentioned he follows some of my speech patterns and seems to quote
Anne Frank was a young girl who had lived in a Secret Annex for 2 ½ years, as war was going on at the time. Her father had published her diary she kept during war and now it has become famous worldwide.
Anne has a very positive personality. You could say that she sees the glass as half full. Some of the things that Anne does to keep everyone’s spirits up is that she always is laughing. She also dances around the Secret Annexe. She loves teasing people. Anne is wild and fun. She asks personal questions to Mrs. Van Daan which makes Mrs. Van Daan laugh.
Anne Frank was a little girl in world war two with other 7 people in her family and she was hiding from the Nazi's during the time. Anne Frank lived in a cramp and tiny home it was a secret where she lived and that was behind a bookshelf that could open like a door and this place had an attic and then it has many levels but is small. So I feel so bad for her.
Anne Frank was a thirteen year old girl who loved the outdoors, reading, writing and much more but then a war began on Friday,September 1,1942.Her parents decided they would go into hiding in the “secret annex” after Margot got a letter reporting her to go off to a work camp in Germany. But while in the Annex she got made fun of and was treated like a little kid. That's why earlier she wanted to get her period and be fully grown into a woman but she doesn't understand that having your period doesn't make you a woman.
The Diary of Anne Frank gives a good example about how people from that time witnessed the things around them. Throughout the play, the characters are often experiencing new things in the world even though they are hiding in the attic. They face new challenges that also revolve around the changes in the world at that time. Anne and her family are often scared, worried, or sad in most of the story. The author uses these feeling to display what is going on in the outside world. For example, in one point of the story, there was a loud crash and the characters became worried that they have been caught by the green police. In another point in the play, Mrs. Van Daan becomes worried that the Frank family has been caught because they didn’t show up to the attic on time. In The Diary of Anne Frank, the author reflects on historical events by using the characters’ thoughts, actions, and
In the drama Anne Frank there are many ways that the historical event caused change to the mood of the characters and the relationship. Anne Frank was just a Normal girl living in germany when her family had to move because of Adolf hitler's plan to kill all jews and she was a jew. So when they got to Amsterdam ( which is were they moved ) they found out that the germans were coming to Amsterdam to and Margot had to go work and they didn't want anybody to leave, so Anne’s father had an office building and up on the top of the building there was an Annex, Anne’s
