There are many moon conspiracy theories that have been told to people all over the world. Many people have tried to prove them right and prove them wrong. in, “https://pseudoastro.wordpress.com, spacecentre.co.uk, and in http://www.discovery.com, by Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage, Scott Davis, and Stuart Robbins, the authors give evidence to why the fake Moon landing theory is not real. The conspiracy theory that a man did not land on the moon is well known because of no stars in the moon photos. The first piece of evidence that we did land on the moon is when the author states, “The reason they are not visible in photos has a lot more to do with photography than with astronomy. Stars are very dim and the light reflected by the Earth and the …show more content…
The first fact to go against the moon landing theory is when Stuart Robbins states, “If you have managed to get this far and still believe this claim, then let’s actually get to what’s really going on. Have you ever scanned or photocopied something? If so, you know that any little piece of dirt, hair, dust, or whatever that gets between your original and your imaging device will show up in the copy. That is what happened in the case of the infamous “C” rock – a hair (such as an eyelash) or a small piece of lint got caught between the image and the imager when they were making copies of it. Plain and simple. In the original photograph (close up shown below), there is no C.”’ This confirms that it was just some hair or fine particle that came between the camera and the rock. The second piece of evidence that rebuttals against the moon landing conspiracy theory is when Scott Davis states, “But in fact, the label simply isn’t there. The image of the rock is taken from a much larger shot of the Moon’s surface, and if you look at the original image (shown below left), the marking isn’t there. Either a small hair or piece of thread must have got caught in the machine while it was being copied (image below right).” This confirms that there was only something in between the camera and the
John F. Kennedy once said, "No nation which expects to be the leader of other nations can expect to stay behind in this race for space...We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard”. The main motive for this quote was to ensure that the United States wanted to beat out the Soviets in the space race. Ever since the Soviets tried to advance on the moon, the United States wanted to be the first successful nation to accomplish the first ever moon landing. At the time, the tension between the United States and the Soviets was very strong because the Cold War just ended and neither nation wanted to lose to each other in the space race. Just as the
There is physical evidence that can prove on how the moon landing is a hoax. One of the popular evidences that it is a hoax is that in the videos and pictures of the men on the moon, in the distance of space there is absolutely no stars in sight. “The photographs on the moon don't show any stars in the sky,” (5 Goofy Moon landing Hoax Theories, 2017 p.30). That is why a lot of people believed this was faked and filmed in a studio. The second piece of physical evidence is how when they stuck the American flag in the ground it was waving like there is wind in space. “There's no wind on the moon, so how come the flag was blowing in a breeze?” (5 Goofy Moon landing Hoax Theories, 2017 p.30). On the moon there is no atmosphere like here on earth so there can't be any reasonable explanation as to why the flags moving but NASA has tried. The final part of my physical evidence is one of the most famous. In a picture from the astronauts there is a moon rock
One of the most patriotic moments in United States history was an American stepping foot on the Moon. It came at a time when the U.S. was involved in the Cold War, bringing joy to the entire country. It was a task that took years of failure and hard work to accomplish. The moon landing helped elevate the status of the United States as a country trying to catch up to the Soviet Union in the race of space advancement. However, this accomplishment has been diminished by many who have claimed it be staged. Two of them are Bill Kaysing, who published a book detailing the hoax in 1976, and Bart Sibrel, who published a documentary in 2001.
“Another Photograph Fueling the Moon Landing Conspiracy Theory” The Neil Armstrong Moon Landing: Hoax or Reality. April, 2011
Many accomplishments throughout the years, in the United States have formed our country to a nationalist society. On July 20th, 1969, the Mission Control Center in Houston, Texas received the call, “Houston”, which confirmed the landing of these three astronauts on the moon. Recently though, many discussions of the Apollo 11 mission have astonished thoughts of many Americans. Conspiracy theorists are looking at the Moon Landing as a hoax and one big set up that Americans were fooled into believing actually happened. In 1974, Bill Kasying wrote a book entitled We Never Went to the Moon:
Conspiracy theories are everywhere. It seems that for every event in to have taken place in history, there is a group of individuals saying that it is a government conspiracy. There are conspiracy theories regarding the 9/11 attacks, presidential assassinations, Area 51, Jimmy Hoffa, the English crown and Elvis. The list is endless. In this paper we are going to discuss the moon landing conspiracy. Apparently there are people who believe the entire moon landing was a hoax. They believe that we did not actually land on the moon, but produced the event in a movie studio so that we would be able to beat Russia in the great “Space Race”. These people have taken all the evidence from the moon landing and analyzed ever aspect and tried to
Conspiracy theories have been around since the beginning of time. When NASA sent the first landed on the moon, there are people who believed that NASA faked the moon landings. Men, such as Bill Kaysing, the Flat Earth Society, and Davie Groves, and Bart Sibrel, have written books, delivered lectures, and made videos about why they believed NASA faked the moon landings. Based on their observations which include no stars in their pictures, NASA's drive to beat the Russians to the moon, and a way to distract people from the Vietnam war, the group believes that the moon landings were faked.
In 1975, two scientists by the name of Dr. William K. Hartmann and Dr. Donald R. Davis, came up with a groundbreaking new theory on how the moon was created. Their theory stated “At the time Earth formed 4.5 billion years ago, other smaller planetary bodies were also growing. One of these hit earth late in Earth 's growth process, blowing out rocky debris. A fraction of that debris went into orbit around the Earth and aggregated into the moon” (Hartmann & Herres 1). This theory is known as the Giant Impact Theory and is the accepted theory in the scientific community of how the moon was created. Even though this theory is accepted by most, there are still some people who don’t hold this theory to be true. I agree with Davis and Hartmann’s Giant Impact Theory that a great collision occurred and created the moon. The Giant Impact Theory is supported by the lack of iron on the moon, the moon rocks from the Apollo missions, and its acceptance in the scientific community.
One of the key pieces of evidence of the moon landing is photo evidence. Numerous photos as well as video have been released and seen by the public. One of the
On July 16th, 1969 the Apollo 11 spacecraft launched from Earth and landed on the moon four days later. It was the first of six manned spacecraft to land on the moon, all launched by NASA and the United States. Conspiracy theorists have tried to prove that the moon landings were fake from the moment the Apollo 11 spacecraft landed on the moon. One of the conspiracy theorists’ biggest pieces of evidence against the moon landing are two photos from NASA, which have been proven to actually be taken on the moon. Another piece of evidence that supports the idea that the moon landings were real is that a Japanese explorer found the Apollo 15 launch area on the moon.
It wasn 't until I really sat down and thought about it that I realized the moon landing was questionable. As a kid I always thought it would be amazing to be an astronaut so the thought that maybe there is no real astronauts at all had me concerned. On July 20th 1969, the Apollo 11 with astronaut Neil Armstrong and his crew, guided by thousands of NASA technicians, supposedly landed in the surface of the moon. This landing at its time was considered the most amazing technological advancement in the history of mankind. The moon landing is something that everyone knows about but as it turns out about 20% americans and 50% or Ukrainians don 't believe the moon landing really happened, here 's why.
In conclusion, one who reads this can clearly see that, by these terms, there is clear evidence that we did in fact walk on the moon. The exact evidence of the mineral makeup of Moon Rocks is convicting and practical evidence. Also, there is the common sense part. If the United States didn?t go to the moon, and produced fake moon rocks, Russian scientists would have a say about it, saying as though we went to the moon at the height of the cold war, and produced Moon Rocks that could be tested by any scientist.
Now, do you need anymore evidence on how the moon landing was hoax, maybe from a source you can trust? Well you can find that source at science.howstuffworks.com. In the article, “Why do some people believe the moon landings were a hoax?” you can find the evidence. This article resembles that of what was stated in the last paragraph. Some topics reasons are the same as well. A new one is the difference in shadow lengths. “Some people point out that some of the shadows given off by the
The first theory is the Moon Landing conspiracy theory. This theory goes back to the Apollo 11 moon landing. Theorists believe that the moon landing was all faked in an attempt to beat Russia in the “Space Race”. Some “proof” they claim to have is “when the astronauts are putting up the American flag it waves, there is no wind on the moon”. The flag is held up by a horizontal bar and simply moves when it is unfurled and as the pole is being fixed into position by the astronauts the pole continues to vibrate after the astronauts let go. This gives the impression of blowing wind on the moon.(www.telegraph.co.uk).
Since 1969, some people said that Apollo moon landing could be a hoax. Then, tons of people and scientists leave their comments and personal opinions on this particular topic. Both side’s supporter has different evidence to support what they believe. It is not reasonable to believe it was a hoax because of the physical evidence that supports it. The following information present that the background of the moon and different evidence to support the thesis statement above.
