On July 20th, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon....or so they say. It has been debated that the landing was actually fake, based on some characteristics in the photos that were taken on the moon. While majority thinks that the moon landing was indeed real, there is more evidence that proves it was fake. For example: The American flag planted in the moon, Buzz Aldrin’s footprint, and mysterious lights appearing in the sky all have hidden things in their photos that could have been impossible in outer space. One of the most famous photos of the Apollo 11 mission is the American flag waving in the breeze on the moon. Breeze? In fact there is no wind on the moon, so how is this possible? It can be argued that the inertia …show more content…
The print is extremely detailed and you can see the pattern from the sole of the shoe. The moon’s surface is bone dry. Dry enough to where a footprint wouldn’t be as detailed as the one in the picture. The footprint shown in the picture could have only been made in wet sand, because it would’ve been able to bring out the detail. The last and most obvious reason why the moon landing was fake is shown in another photo of mysterious lights illuminating the sky. It wasn’t a star. This proves the moon landing was faked because it isn’t regualr for bright lights to magically appear in space unless it’s a star, which it’s not. It has been said that the mysterious lights were actually studio lights from a production set, which means the entire moon landing was instead, a photoshoot.
For almost 50 years, the topic of whether or not the moon landing was real has been a big debate. While there are several reasons that the moon landing happened, it can easily be proven that the moon landing did not happen and NASA did not send Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin to the moon. But why would NASA trick us? We may never
On May 25, 1961 President John F. Kennedy paved the way for the world’s first lunar landing when he announced the US’s ambitious goal to place an American on the moon before the end of the decade. This historic announcement was fueled by desires to beat the Soviet Union, and show the United State’s dominance, the need for a uniting cause among the American people, and a desire to lead the world in the scientific field.
Conspiracy theories are everywhere. It seems that for every event in to have taken place in history, there is a group of individuals saying that it is a government conspiracy. There are conspiracy theories regarding the 9/11 attacks, presidential assassinations, Area 51, Jimmy Hoffa, the English crown and Elvis. The list is endless. In this paper we are going to discuss the moon landing conspiracy. Apparently there are people who believe the entire moon landing was a hoax. They believe that we did not actually land on the moon, but produced the event in a movie studio so that we would be able to beat Russia in the great “Space Race”. These people have taken all the evidence from the moon landing and analyzed ever aspect and tried to
And why the Soviets (also in the space race to get to the moon) did not show any signs of protest? Every conspiracy theory about the Lunar Landing can be posed, but every single one has a logical retaliation, backed up by nothing but scientific fact.
When the footage was done being aired, it was stored at Goddard Space Flight Center. Records indicate the tapes were moved to the U.S. National Archives in 1970. The reasons are still unknown, but about 700 boxes of the SSTV tapes were returned to Goddard in 1984. After 1984, they were never looked at again, and nobody has any idea of the whereabouts of the tapes. ( NASA loses original tapes of Apollo 11 moon landing) Without all of this evidence how could anyone still believe the landing happened? Well, the answer to that question is, the government kept this secret from Americans and still does. Without investigating this topic, all the information to prove the moon landing to be a hoax is misunderstood. The loss of evidence should also show that NASA is keeping something from all of the citizens in the United States.
The Apollo missions that succeeded in landing and approaching the moon encountered conspiracy claims and distrust from the people. Many online personas claim to have proof showing that the moon landing was a hoax. Read below to learn more on the conspiracy theories the missions encountered.
Conspiracy theories have been around since the beginning of time. When NASA sent the first landed on the moon, there are people who believed that NASA faked the moon landings. Men, such as Bill Kaysing, the Flat Earth Society, and Davie Groves, and Bart Sibrel, have written books, delivered lectures, and made videos about why they believed NASA faked the moon landings. Based on their observations which include no stars in their pictures, NASA's drive to beat the Russians to the moon, and a way to distract people from the Vietnam war, the group believes that the moon landings were faked.
It wasn 't until I really sat down and thought about it that I realized the moon landing was questionable. As a kid I always thought it would be amazing to be an astronaut so the thought that maybe there is no real astronauts at all had me concerned. On July 20th 1969, the Apollo 11 with astronaut Neil Armstrong and his crew, guided by thousands of NASA technicians, supposedly landed in the surface of the moon. This landing at its time was considered the most amazing technological advancement in the history of mankind. The moon landing is something that everyone knows about but as it turns out about 20% americans and 50% or Ukrainians don 't believe the moon landing really happened, here 's why.
The "Moon Hoax" has been around since 1835, when the New York Sun printed an article about this whole ordeal. The New York Sun used and credited Sir John Herschel, who was a British Astronomer. Herschel claimed that he had tried out a new type of telescope on the Cape of Good Hope in January of 1834. While in Cape Town, he said he'd set up an Observatory. Using this, he claimed to have observed what he thought of as the "Real" Moon. He claimed to have seen vegetation, bodies of water, and living creatures. He also said he had seen "Bat People" who were described as being furry winged men. This took the People at a shock, and the "Evidence" and science astounded them. So many began to believe this is true.
On July 20, 1969 lunar manned landing was made by NASA. Neil Armstrong was the first man to step on the moon. I am not saying that this was true based on the information provided by books or media, but can also be proved. There any many people, ‘conspiracy theorist’ who says that the lunar manned mission by NASA was a hoax. So, my paper will show that the lunar manned mission was made, NASA landed on moon.
Now, do you need anymore evidence on how the moon landing was hoax, maybe from a source you can trust? Well you can find that source at science.howstuffworks.com. In the article, “Why do some people believe the moon landings were a hoax?” you can find the evidence. This article resembles that of what was stated in the last paragraph. Some topics reasons are the same as well. A new one is the difference in shadow lengths. “Some people point out that some of the shadows given off by the
On July 20th, 1969, the first man ever stepped on the moon.. Or so we thought, there are many people who believe moon landings were faked, whether it be apollo Mission 11, 12, or any other number NASA put on there is up to the public.
There is a lot of convincing evidence that proves the moon landing conspiracy theory true, but the most prominent evidence is the fluttering flag. In the moon landing video, Buzz Aldrin planted the American Flag on the moon. In the video it appeared wind caused the flag to flutter. The moon has no atmosphere, which means any type of weather is impossible on the moon. The impossibility of wind occurring
Since 1969, some people said that Apollo moon landing could be a hoax. Then, tons of people and scientists leave their comments and personal opinions on this particular topic. Both side’s supporter has different evidence to support what they believe. It is not reasonable to believe it was a hoax because of the physical evidence that supports it. The following information present that the background of the moon and different evidence to support the thesis statement above.
Another conspiracy is that they’re multiple shadows in the moon photos prove there was more than one source of light. Again scientist debunked this theory too. When taking the pictures the astronauts were on a hilly, brightly-lit landscape while the sun was close to the
around their bulky television screens. It was 1969, America had recently passed through the height of the Cold War, but their relationship with the Soviet Union continued to become more hostile. There was no clear winner in sight, and America was desperate for a definitive victory, it was this moment, in this very moment that they finally had one, and they clung to it. This moment was, of course, the Apollo 11 moon landing on the 20th of July, 1969. However, as with many famous events captured in the public eye, it wasn't long before conspiracies began to unfold. Some began to question the validity of the photographs and videos associated with the moon landings, others made claims that the government couldn’t possibly have had the technology necessary to successfully land on the moon, and some even went as far as to point out the exact set and director that supposedly filmed the hoaxed moon landings. I first became aware of the conspiracy surrounding the moon landings about two years ago when I watched a documentary on the topic and naturally, being the patriotic American that I am, I sided with NASA without considering any evidence on either side of the argument, but recently, the topic was brought up in conversation and it stuck an interest within me. So in this essay I will throw my preconceived notions out the metaphorical window,
