Why do people hurt others? Well why individuals hurt others is because of a misunderstanding or by moral conflict. When people have Moral conflict itws usually about two groups that have different ideas about the good life, So they often stress about the importance of different things, Most of the time they may develop radically different or incompatible goals. Although another general feature of conflict is the characteristics of a relationship and the communication between others. Some time moral conflict tends to point out some ones personality, Intelligence, And even social manners. People intend on disagreeing …show more content…
Moral conflict is intractable because of its deep-roots, Moral conflicts tend to be intractable and long-lasting. Parties to such conflict often have great difficulty in describing the substantive issues in shared terms. They are arguing from different moral positions, They disagree about the meaning and significance of the important issues. This makes negotiation or compromise extremely difficult in and of itself. Over the course of conflict, The original issues often become irrelevant and new causes for conflict are generated by actions within conflict itself. This is because in moral conflict, When groups try to act consistently with what they believe is morally good and just, they " prove " to the other side that they are fools or villains. This means by which the parties seek resolution often just provoke further conflict. As the conflict continues, Substantive issues are largely forgotten and "the other sides means of dealing with the conflict is itself the force that drives the interactions among the various conflicted parties." This moral conflicts are
Before attempting to dissect where in literature and life conflict resides, the meaning behind it and what it entails must first be understood. Conflict can be defined as a serious disagreement or argument, typically a protracted one. In the form of a verb, it can also be defined as to be incompatible or at variance with; to clash. Conflict, although it is mostly attributed with physical violence, can come in many forms. It can be viewed as internal, external, and moral. External conflict, or physical conflict, is the most prominent form recognized and seemingly occurs most often. External conflict can be shown through war, physical altercations, violent crimes; the list goes on. This type of conflict is exhibited within the short story, “A Good Man is Hard to Find.” The next branch of conflict is internal conflict, which a psychological struggle within the mind. Internal conflict is an altercation between the mind and the input that is being rejected, and can leave the individual feeling defeated and at odds with themselves. At its simplest terms, it is an internal struggle. Examples of these could be emotional problems, such as fear of intimacy or abandonment, or trying to resist the allure of a
As a person who loves to help people, I have never understood the individuals who like to be mean for no reason. For example, in 'To Kill a Mockingbird,' Bob Ewell was rude to everyone in Maycomb, simply because no one said anything about it. The town acted the same way to Boo Radely, they spread rumors and made him seem like a monster to Jem and Scout. It wasn't until Scout finally saw him that she understood how he must have felt about the situation. In a way, people are mean because no one ever told them not to be, but even so, what's the point? Some people are mean for power, for others it's because they need something to hide behind, but all in all, it's because no one tells them not to be.
Other reasons why people treat others in such horrible ways, is due to the lack of knowledge. A lot of people may believe that other races may be unintelligent or not civilised, because of this it results with people such as the Ku Klux Kan (KKK) to judge the Blacks. Burning and bombing their house and locale shops, just because they were different and thought of as not
There are different types of people in the world, as they all have different behavior, personality, and culture. Everyone has a different view of what makes good people do bad things. It is amazing how such calm and nice people turn into such a bad people. There must be a psychology reason in order for them to turn like this. There are some factors I would like to know and also discuss of why people behave this way. Therefore, a person with different behavior makes them act different and hence, that impacts on a person’s personality which makes them turn from good person to bad person.
People do bad things because no one cares about anyone and they only care about them
Have you ever felt guilty about something you did? Lois Duncan’s Killing Mr. Griffin which is fiction 5 kids felt guilty of, well, killing Mr Griffin. In the article, “Moral injury” by Tony Dokoupil and Alison Snyder, it talks about how veterans have guilt about killing civilians. Guilt affects your life in many ways. It can destroy relationships, cause illness, and alter your behavior.
What causes a person to constantly hurt themselves and the people around them? It’s human nature to want to be perfect but striving for that constantly causes consequences. In the comic novel Fun Home , the father pushed his own storms onto his family members instead of dealing with them himself . He continually closed up himself emotionally and took things farther and farther over the years of the children’s childhood. With self loathing of himself the man forced that upon his children, never showing them affectionate love. Sadly, the father stretched himself too thin with striving for his idea of perfection upon his house and his family when all the while things weren't perfect inside his head. Truthfully, they never would be. He hated himself
Why would somebody do something so terrible to so many? Who knew something this tragic would happen when least expected? We will never know the real pain that the jews went through all we can do is consider their well beings. I believe with Albert Einstein's quote “the world is too dangerous to live in not because of the people who do evil but because of the people who sit there and let it happen
However, there are few time when we consider the things we do whether to hurt others. Sometimes, we treat others the way we do not like, but we are unconscious and continue to do it. However, we would be very angry if others treated us the same way. For example, we are always satisfied to jump a queue but will be very irritable when others do as us do.
Why are some people so cruel to other individuals or other species? This question comes to my mind very often when I read or watch the news.
So why do people treat others horribly? One possible answer is power. When some people are in power that might get to their head. So many people in power have treated other human beings worse than they would treat an animal. One example is Hitler, when he gained power he stated the Holocaust. Another example is how the leaders of North Korea are now.
In my opinion people that treat others horribly are people that are jealous. Or they don’t get enough attention. When some people say something bad or funny about them and other people laugh they tend to like the attention. So they tend to treat others horribly for attention.
When it comes to whether or not people should care more about doing the right thing or doing things right, I believe whole heartedly that one should care more about doing the right thing. When you focus on just doing something right, you forget all about a person or companies true needs or wants. Not only are you simply following the rules to make yourself look good, but also you are failing to become a true a leader. A leader does not just do something right, they will go out on a limb to do the right thing and truly understand why they are doing it. This mindset would then lead to more effectiveness and efficiency both at work and day-to-day interactions.
Through all of the years that the human race has existed, since the prehistoric times of the Stone Age to present day Louisville, man has always disagreed. Whether its politics, economy, religion, sports, or simply arguing about putting ketchup or mustard on your hotdog, people have always had trouble agreeing with things. A perfect example of a dispute is two men fighting over the same strip of land. Why can’t those two men just agree to split the land half and half? You could say that we argue because of stubbornness or carelessness, but I think the real reason we argue is because we want to win.
Some people put others before themselves, or other people put themselves before others. Each way has their own reason on what they prefer. People should be more concerned about themselves than others because it’s your life so you need to be more aware and care more about yourself, and it could risk your life.
