Morality is the contrast between what is right or wrong when dealing with intentions, actions, and decisions. Our mortality is based on whether they fall under the categories as “bad or “good”. It is the way in which we determine what we view as being right and wrong. It explains why a certain action is seen as being wrong, or why we should act in a certain way. It also provides a structure which we can think in a certain reasoned way and evaluate specific moral issues. Most people take moral theories to be prescriptive, meaning that right or wrong actions are evaluated by what you think is right or wrong. Divine Command Theory explains that there is a connection between religion and morality. Without religion, there is no morality, therefore no right and wrong behavior. Although there are other claims that are claiming religion exists based on the necessity to motivate and guide people to behave morally correct, most people take the claim of the necessary connection between morality and religion to mean that right and wrong come from the commands of God. This states that an action is considered right if God commands us to do it, and wrong if God forbids us from doing it . However, it is thought to have several flaws, for example, it assumes that God exists and that we can know what God commands.
