Cartersville Middle School is the only middle school in the Cartersville City School System. The total system population is 5,623 (pre-K-12), and Cartersville Middle School has a student population of 993 students. It currently has 72 ELL students enrolled. Based on Bartow County Chamber of Commerce predictions, this number is projected to increase annually. Ninety-eight percent of our ELL enrollment is on Free/Reduced lunch, and the majority come to the school setting lacking the educational foundation needed to succeed in the middle school environment. Language deficiencies present seeming insurmountable obstacles for the ELL child. Little if any academic assistance is available to support the student outside the school

This passage takes place when the school in Cange is built. The school gave a lot of the Haitians hope for a better future for their children and the entire country. The passage shows that even the Haitians themselves acknowledged the fact that an education could have had a great impact on them and allowed them to escape poverty. This is an especially impactful point in the book because the quote came directly from a woman who knows first hand about Haiti’s poverty. The author makes it clear that the school will not only educate Haiti’s youth, but also lower hunger among Haitian children. The author also mentions dignity when discussing malnourishment, which can be a huge obstacle when trying to fight world issues like hunger. The end is the
Our needs assessment was primarily accomplished through our meeting with Nurse Munsey, who gave us a general overview of the main nutrition concerns of the children at Crownover Middle School. A number of questions for Nurse Munsey that were directed at collecting information that we felt would be pertinent to the age group. No survey was sent out to the teachers. Instead, Nurse Munsey sent an email before our meeting to see what teachers would be interested in having us present. The following is a summary of what was found.
In the hypothetical case, the Rockshire High School official had reasonable cause to search Britney Sullivan’s cell phone for evidence that she and other students cheated on their AP History exam. The administrator suspects Britney because (1) the students scored extremely high on the AP History test (2) Britney has been in trouble in the past and is in the AP History class and (3) a teacher received a reliable tip from another student describing how the students cheated using social media. According to the Supreme Court case (New Jersey v. TLO, 469 U.S. 325 (1985).) the school administrator had the right to search the contents of the student's cell phone, since the administrator had reasonable cause to suspect the student of school policy infractions. The court’s decision in this case is that the student officials do not hold the same accountability of the police under search and seizure. Police are held to the strict accountability of probable cause while school officials according to the Supreme Court have only to prove reasonable cause. In this hypothetical case the supreme court would support the decision of the Rockshire High School administration to search a student's cell phone as evidence for cheating based on the fact that the administrator had evidence to support reasonable cause. The Supreme Court states, “reasonable grounds
On Wednesday, April 12, 2017, I, Officer McDaniel #147, while at James Coble Middle School, located at 1200 Ballweg Rd, Arlington, TX, I was approached by Assistant Principal Myers, Laura, W/F, DOB 02/16/1968, in reference to a cell phone screen that was broke by another student.
The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is definitely the school for me, and I would be a great candidate for the school with the help from Granville Early College High School and everything they have done to prepare me for the college life. The acceptance call I got from Granville Early College High School my 8th grade summer, is a memorable day. My mind was everywhere because I was so excited and so nervous to make that choice in whether I was going or not, with the motivation of family I made the right decision. This was an meaningful event, experience and accomplishment all wrapped into one. It impacts my college experience because I get to have a taste of the college life, it prepares me to be a good student in the University of

Madison began the Commack Middle School in the 6th Grade. She continued to receive integrated co-teaching services daily. She also received a special skills class daily for 40 minutes, individual counseling services twice a month for 30 minutes, special seating arrangements, refocusing and redirection, check for understanding, copy of class notes, and extended time. Vision consultation services were provided in the classroom once a month for 45 minutes. In 2014, Madison’s parents considered moving her to a non-integrated class, however she continued to have this support in the 7th Grade. During 7th grade, Madison made improvements with her visual-spatial skills by using open space more effectively; however it was noted on her IEP that providing her lines to write on offered her the best support.
How would I use my unique talents or abilities to address a school or community issue? I as of now am the class president of my 7th grade, Hastings Middle School class. In ways to make my school better, I always attend school officer meetings, and listen to my peer’s wishes and hopes. However, one thing I have learned is the fact that you can only do so much for your school realistically. For example, as of writing this, my school has banned water bottle flipping. Water bottle flipping is something with enough work and dedication, I can change. An example to what I can’t change are school lunches. The school already has a certain food supplier, certain food-related staff, and certain menus. To try to change this would be to disrupt many parts
Leonardo Da Vinci once said, “simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” Many times when we write, we tend to over-use “fancy” words and try too hard to make our writing sound smart. This extra “fluff” and weirdly placed “buzz words” may not quite make sense in the context, but “of course, they’re AP vocab words I have to use them and it is a very loose synonym so it works right?” Sometimes, the best, and most “smart-sounding” way to get your point across is to write it out straight forward and not discombobulate your main idea with extra and unnecessary phrases and words. Less is more.

It’s no secret that Leaguetown High School’s students are statistically unhealthier than those of the average American high school. While recognizing this problem, I believe that the current proposal to limit food options and increase food prices in an effort to counteract this trend is completely the wrong way to solve it.
