Having Morgan Farrier in my Advanced Placement United States Government and Politics class this year is a pleasure, and it is honor to write her a letter of recommendation for your university. Although I have only had Morgan as a student since the beginning of this school year, I can already tell she is going to do very well in my class. In that short period of time she has distinguished herself from her fellow students in regards to academics and personality. I have had several one on one conversations with her about her pursuit of a career in the field of national security. Last year, in AP U.S. History she did a project on ISIS and this blossomed into an interest in national security and intelligence career opportunities. Morgan even
I hope that this letter finds you well. I am reaching out to provide you with a few updates regarding Miriam’s Quarter 3 grades.

With great pleasure, I write this recommendation letter for Melissa Gonzalez, whom I met back in the fall of 2015, when she joined Miami Dade College - Kendall Campus as a Video Production Technician for the Media Services Department. During the time with Miami Dade College, among the qualities that Melissa demonstrated were a mature personality and emotional stability, which are attributes that make an individual valuable for any institution. Miami Dade College is a multiethnic educational institution that welcomes empathy, sensitivity and a cooperative spirit. Melissa has demonstrated all of those attributes while interacting with colleagues, clients, and students.
In the book excerpt by Firoozeh Dumas, “The F-Word”, Dumas uses several techniques to hook her readers and keep their interest in her piece. It was her style, however, that did most of the work. Dumas' article has a very strong single argument that she works toward throughout her entire piece. She claims that the English language could do with a bit more “spice”, as she calls it (Dumas). Though this argument is only listed only twice in the excerpt, it is the underlying foundation of every humorous story as well as every painful moment. Throughout the excerpt, Dumas has paired together the use of her style with how she builds ethos in the reader's eyes. This creates a very good way to convey the argument, however it still lacks certain strengths. Had she written in a slightly more formal tone and included more evidence, she could have kept her humor and continued to build on her ethos by appealing to a more professional group. The use of an easy going conversational style in Dumas' excerpt helps to portray her claim in a way that most readers will be able to identify with, however, the style does not work well in appealing to a professional setting due to the lack of empirical evidence.
Good Morning, it is with great pleasure that I write this letter of support for Orion Edwards in his application for the University of Guelph McKendry-Baker Memorial Scholarship.
I have grown to know Lexus Mills of year, having served as her Math Teacher but also as her Mentor her at Virginia Union University. It is an honor to write this letter of recommendation as part of the application of Lexus Mills as a potential participant in your summer scholar program. Academically, Lexus was enrolled in a General Studies summer lecture during the Math Summer Institute (MSSI) during the summer of 2015 at Virginia Union University as an entering college freshman. Over the past semester Miss Mills was a first-rate student and earned a final grade of an A in Pre-Calculus part 1 and a B Applied Calculus Business. Lexus has always challenged herself academically. She is an active participant in class discussions, and grasps material quickly. Miss Mills is well organized, a critical thinker and a quite intelligent young lady.
Allison’s pursuit began when she earned her Bachelor’s degree in American Studies from Stanford University with distinction and partial membership of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society in 1989. After graduation, she served as special assistant and speechwriter for President Ronald Reagan’s Secretary of Education. Later she resigned from the job, and continued her education at the honorable University of Chicago Law School, where she earned a J.D with high honors in 1991.
I am writing to enthusiastically recommend Alexandria Miera for the Student of Promise award. I teach full time at The ASK Academy, a public STEM charter school in Rio Rancho, and part time with CNM. I currently teach Alex in anatomy/physiology BIO 1310/1392 as a dual enrollment class at The ASK Academy. In addition to biomedical science courses, she also takes engineering courses at ASK. At school, she has taken several dual enrollment classes through CNM (4.0 GPA), is manager of the 3D printing team, and participated in our state winning VEX robotics team. Her high school GPA is 4.6 because of her success in the dual enrollment program.
She is a born leader, and works excellently in groups and frequently pushes her groups to reach their goals. Furthermore, I have rarely seen a student more respectful to both teachers and her peers than Georgia. She is a very social person, and is both outgoing and funny. Georgia is also exceptionally creative. She is always pushing herself to look at challenges and assignments in a different way and it always pays off, especially when writing essays and in other written assignments, as she is an amazing writer. The characteristics that Georgia has demonstrated throughout her entire high school career have prepared her for the upcoming challenge of collegiate academics. I am certain she will approach these new opportunities with the same persistency and drive for excellence that she applies to all of her endeavors, especially as she challenges herself with the new learning experiences and community that are available in the college setting. To conclude, Georgia is an extraordinary student and person, and I recommend her to this school with my highest regards. Sincerely, Georgia Beckmann Head of College Counselling Prospect Hill Academy Charter School Collegiate
I am writing this letter to respectfully ask for your support in helping me become one of the many distinguished cadets at the United States Military Academy. I have achieved so much in my 16 years of life and being appointed into the academy will be very well-deserving and forthcoming to all the amazing opportunities that the academy has to offer. I have worked tremendously hard to obtain a 4.0 gpa and maintain a class rank in the top 100 of my 1000 person class. With your help I can hopefully be appointed as a West Point candidate for the class of 2022.
It’s with great privilege to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Machayla Longfoot, a Senior FFA member at Judson High School. Machayla is an outstanding student and a valuable part of her FFA chapter. Over the past three years she has developed into one of the strongest leaders in her chapter. Machayla is someone her fellow FFA members look up to and seek guidance from. She can be counted on and is a good organizer when something needs to be accomplished.
Chris Hedges once said “Violence is a disease, a disease that corrupts all who use it regardless of the cause.” Violence, behavior involving physical force intended to injure, harm, or kill someone or something, as well as aggression, hostile or violent behavior or attitudes toward another, is spreading throughout the globe like a disease, corrupting our modern society. The drastic increase in violent and aggressive behavior in modern society can be attributed directly to the prevalence of drug and alcohol abuse, easy availability of deadly weapons and the limitless exposure to mass media that celebrates these behaviors.
I have always wanted to ride a roller coaster ever since I was a little kid. After a while of asking my parents to go to Cedar Point they finally said “yes.” Eventually we went to Cedar Point and that’s where it began.
