Feminism is by definition the believe that women and men should have the same rights. Yet in today´s society many women fear being called a feminist due to the stigma that is associated with the term. Feminists are believed to be easily offended, man-hating and aggressive she-devils. That, however, does not represent the truth and nor is what feminism is about. The movement that first started to gain popularity in the late 1960s has changed throughout the years, but its core message has always remained the same: equality.
