Whenever a movie based on a book is produced, similarities must exist. It is crucial that there is correlation throughout the plot of both works in order for the story to be told. One example of a similarity between the plot of both versions of The Most Dangerous Game is that Rainsford and Zaroff were both experienced hunters. Zaroff had hunted all kinds of prey all over the world, and Rainsford was famous for his books on hunting. This made Zaroff’s hunt more enjoyable and Rainsford’s fight for his life more terrifying. Also, in both the movie and short story, Zaroff used dogs to hunt Rainsford. This illustrates that Zaroff did not exactly play fair in the story or the movie. Likewise, there are also major comparisons between the resolution of the literary work and the resolution of the motion picture. For example, in both endings, Rainsford was victorious. He was the first person to
That’s when Kenny got shot for making jokes at Tub and aimed a gun at him. Rainsford is the typical hero because he is clever and moral, as opposed to Zaroff who is immoral. Rainsford has now fully reverted to hunter mode. A story which relies on action, coincidence and surprise. Both stories shows actions of instances that happen between characters and huntings.

High Noon is based around the 1940's in an old western town. "Street from Kane's point of view. It is completely deserted" (Foreman 296). Isolation is an important aspect of this story. Kane desperately needs help, but no one is willing to help him. A dead man is what the whole of the town thinks of of him. Kane, the marshal, is left completely alone to help save the town, and apart from this, stretches of vast desert and prairie encircle around the town. The only way to escape is the train. Connell's story, "The Most Dangerous Game" uses remoteness to set the same effect. "But as he forged along, he saw to his great astonishment that all the lights were in one enormous building- a lofty structure with pointed towers plunging upward into the gloom" (Connell 215). Like Hogwarts this castle is lone and surrounded by dense jungle and all the while, it sits on an island in the Caribbean. Rainsford, also, becomes isolated from the world as he falls off a yacht.
