Most Important President Qualities

Stephen Skowronek attemeped to answer the question that many historians, and people alike, always have trouble answering: what makes a president a good president? Skowronek looks at all the presidents over the course of American history and puts them into one of four classifications. Skowronek looks, in detail, that the presidency of both Clinton and W.Bush. President Barack Obama does not have a classification in this book, so we will attempt to assign him a category based on his work. The American Presidency entails more than meets the eye, and Skowronek is trying to categorize presidents based on more than just what the public sees.

“Being a President is like riding a tiger. A man has to keep on riding or he is swallowed.” (Truman) Not only is being a President of the United States important it is also very challenging. The President must be a very thoughtful and intelligent person and at the same time be a symbol of national leadership upholding their role as the Head of state; in making sure to lead the executive branch of government, The Chief Executive; giving him the responsibility to enforce acts of congress in signing treaties, and the judgments of federal courts, etc. Not only is it hard being the president it’s a whole nother level just to be qualified to run

     Through out the course of history, America has seen great Presidents. These men all exhibited characteristics which helped them to be successful in their endeavor to become the nations leader. Among those characteristics are traits such as being a good spokesperson or leader and being fair towards all which makes for a good President.

There are three main character traits that a President should have. Trustworthiness is important because the U.S can't have a president that will lie. The President needs to be able to communicate with the people in order to be a good President. If a President has empathy and compassion then they will know how the people of their country feel.

A president should be honest at all times being reliable at doing what they say.Otherwise at having courage to do the right thing.All presidents should have kindness,compassion,and forgiveness to other people like us and president.By the way, obey the law at all times and protect the environment for eveyone in the United States.Why presidents should.

We often elect a President that will guide our country through tough times, but we sometimes overlook the fact that we love a president that appeals to the people in different ways other than their plans to help move the country forward. For an example President George Washington was a man that appealed to everyone because he had the physical aspects of a classical hero. He was tall, heavily built, and a marvelous athlete. Many Presidents over the years have shown greatness through their leadership. Each has shown this in their individual way. It takes the ability to deal with whatever may come up, as far as politics are concerned, and handle it with care. Also it takes making a difference in society instead of just settling for the United States being ok as it is. The extra step that some take, separates the normal from the great. Lyndon B. This essay is about a leader and the qualities that make a leader and the person who I think fits that description is George W. Bush.
