My dad and I are both huge movie nerds. We both love watching them and talking about them. Although we like some similar and some different types of movies, we like to watch and discuss them together.

Another vital instance shows the height of power struggle. It is when the huge fight starts in the street and results in Raheem being killed by a white police officer.

Movies hold great importance in my life, but not for reasons that one would expect. Ever since I could remember, I have been interested in films and film memorabilia. It didn’t even have to be legit props that were used on sets of the films either. I collect film tie-in products also. Back in 2007, I vividly remember having my mom drive me an hour away just so that I could get my hands on a box of Krusty-O’s that were a 7-11 exclusive cereal to promote The Simpsons Movie. I still have a box of important trinkets sitting on a shelf in my room, next to my Burger King exclusive glass goblets issued in 2001 for LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring, as well as Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull popcorn cartons that were sold at Blockbuster in 2008. There is no perubrital movie tie-in rock I have left unturned.

Books and movies bring an abundance of gratification into my life. I am not often fond of the sense of transforming a book into a movie. When such an event occurs, I seem to plummet in agony and resentment at the creator of the film that destroyed the crisp adventure on paper. I know my words seem to fool the wandering eye, but I find myself to be a tranquil enjoyable character. The reason for such a character comes from my ability to regain my composure before I humiliate myself in front of others. My method is as simple as stealing candy from a baby; I read a book. There is something about the comforting smell and feel of the pages between my fingers that steady my racing mind. I am able to venture into a different world from my own and all of my present problems fade away. At moments where I am distressed, I take refuge in a novel. Books taught me life lessons about self-worth, human flaws, and friendships that will never escape my mind. Even the most of heroic and brave hearted characters were timid and unsure when faced with the trial in their journey. This is why I cherish books and their stories that have provided me with so much. When I hear a rumor that my favorite books is being produced into a film, my heart swells with delight and anticipation for the release date. Once home, I rushed to the television to start the night. After hours of watching movies I found out that all movies are very different from one another, but every story has something unique. Each film I watched drew me and immersed me into it’s world. I’d never seen anything like it. I couldn't wait to watch more of them and be a part of even more, new and exhilarating stories.

The average person’s life nowadays has the same amount of stress as a patient in an insane asylum 50 years ago, or at least it seems like that to many. People have a lot to worry about nowadays -- mortgages, bills, education, job security, family and health issues, the dangers in the world, among others, and with all these worries and the stress that comes with them, they welcome the ability to turn off their brain and enjoy a meaningless story.
