This film exemplifies the group dynamic by, showing how the characters in the movie interact with each other especially since they all come from different sociological groups in their school. In the beginning, it was difficult for them to get along. The characters in the movie are Claire Standish, who was in detention for skipping school to go shopping. Brian Johnson, was in detention for having a gun in his locker. Allison Reynolds, was in detention because she had nothing else to do. Andrew Clark, was in detention for tapping another student's butt cheeks together. and Jon Bender, was in detention for pulling the fire alarm. The characters moved to being an “in group” when they realized that they can all relate to each other's personal experience like dealing with problems at home, dealing with peer pressure at school and trying to please their parents. By the end of the movie, They definitely seemed to matured in their attitudes and their actions talking about each one of their issues together seemed to have helped them a little become better people. Claire Standish learned to be more generous and helpful she also learned how to not give into peer pressure. Brian Johnson, learned that getting one bad grade isn't such a big deal, he also made friends. Allison Reynolds, has a new positive outlook on life and herself. Andrew Clark, learned that he doesn't have to pretend to be someone he's not. Jon Bender, learned that he can open up to people and form healthy relationships.
