According to Oxford’s dictionary, music is “the vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form harmony, and expression of emotion.” Music has been around for a very long time. Music has been an influenced since the beginning of time from the beats and rhythm to just make a nice flow of a song. Music history is sometimes a historical viewpoint in society. Besides, music is breaking down into five main categories: Jazz, Classical, Rhythm and Blues, Pop, Rap, and Country. But, Rap music is the most popular music in today’s society. In addition, being that Rap music is popular, Rap music is also the most corrupted music now a day. So, how does music influences positive and negative effects on people and society? Although, music has been around for several years, there are so many differences and similarities in music; for instance, all music can be related by old music that was made, or there is new music that is originated. The differences in music is the many genres and its effects on people and the society. The cost of albums from the 1960’s to today’s music are much higher. Another difference in music is back in the 1960’s talent was a part of music, but in today’s music all you need is auto tunes. The similarities are that all music is alike in some way.
