Musk Created Space X to achieve his long term goal of creating civilization in space, wanting to reduce the cost of human spaceflight, and wanting to send humans to mars within 10-20 years.
He began looking for rockets which were very expensive, so he decided the better option would be to make his own. This is when the Falcon 9 project began. This was their very own rocket that would take satellites to space for other companies privately. It took 4 attempts and millions of dollars to get the rocket into orbit. They were constantly being criticized by the government and other companies, but they proved the whole world wrong.
The author chose to go through every struggle involved in building the rocket making process to show the effort Elon put in and the reason behind his hard work ethic. He gets work done how he

The Falcon 9 has now replaced NASA’s space shuttle after it retired in 2011. Musk remains the CEO of Space-X today.
Tesla Motors
Tesla was created by two engineers named Eberhard and Marc. Musk was board member and contributed to major decisions. Nothing was being done in the company, so the board decided to select a new CEO. In 2007, Musk became the CEO of Tesla.
In his time as CEO there was an instance where an employee missed work for the birth of his child. Elon replied saying “That is no excuse. I am extremely disappointed. You need to figure out where your priorities are. We’re changing the world and changing history, and you either commit or you don’t” (Vance 177). This shows the harshness of Elon’s personality. It also shows his commitment to his career and the future.
In 2008 Tesla cam close to Bankruptcy and Musk was dealing with a divorce.
Tesla has order for the first car, the Roadster which it could not fulfill due to financial issues. The divorce from his wife, also the mother of his tree kids brought a lot of criticism onto
He started right away and built the first powered engine from scratch in less than 6 weeks! That’s crazy! Plus, he made all the metal parts used in the airframe. He had so many great things going for him and now this! He was very talented and was very determined with his work.
In 1908 a person was trying to make a rocket ship. The person who wanted to make the rocket ship was poor.Everyone thought he could not make it because he was not looking good.Wherever he went he was talking about the rocket ship he will make.Everyone said he can not make it because he did not have good clothes. He had to go through 30 interviews to find a job at Nasa. After his 30th interview he got a job at Nasa but he got paid less than all the other workers at Nasa. His job was to draw rocket ships. He got tired of not being paid fairly so decided to take the case to court, but he did not have enough money to hire a lawyer. He did not eat for days so he could have enough money to hire a lawyer. After 1 month of saving money he had enough money
Some people think Space X should go to Mars so we can becomes a multi-planet species. I think Space X should not send people to Mars. Space X should not send people to Mars because of too many health dangers. One health danger would be bone-mass loss.
He later started working for Douglas Aircraft all while continuing to design and engineer better aircraft models. In 1927, he and others resurrected Lockheed Aircraft. His patience and dedication paid off and he designed the Lockheed Vega. This aircraft was stunning and with the help of this aircraft many great pilots flew off into fame, such as Amelia Earhart and Wiley Post.
In his hands he had the equivalent to a 3 story house in a good neighborhood, but he was really wary about selling them immediately. There was sort of a gut feeling that told him ‘Don’t tell anything about this until you know what you can do’. And that's exactly what he did, which eventually all lead to the greatest thing his generation had: Rocket League; Not just the sport of the human race, but the leading force of world peace. And that’s how it all started - 1 simple discovery. And 1 gut
Free enterprise helped Musk build his empire and fulfill his dreams. He had to prove to people why they needed his product and why they would want it. His goal is to make people stop using fossil fuels and find an alternative power source. He created the Tesla. At first people didnt think that Tesla was going to be as successful as it has become.
Musk conceptualized a project called “Mars Oasis,” in 2001, in which he would “land a miniature experimental greenhouse on Mars that contained seeds and dehydrating gel, after hydrating the gel the seeds would grow on Martian soil” (McKnight, 2001). The project was to regain a dwindling public interest in space exploration and increase the budget of NASA. Musk quickly realized that the expense of getting to Mars was far greater than he expected and that there would need to be a breakthrough in rocket technology. Musk traveled the world meeting with different rocket builders and space engineers in hopes of finding the right rocket builder and the right price to make his project a reality but did not find a suitable candidate. Musk had the idea of creating a company that could build the rockets that he needed at a fraction of the cost. Musk saw opportunity where others saw dead ends. He hired renowned rockets engineers and opened a facility in El Segundo, California, called SpaceX. “Musk decided SpaceX’s first rocket would be named Falcon 1, a nod to Star Wars’ Millennium Falcon” (Vance, 2015). A few of SpaceX’s achievements include: the first privately funded, liquid-fueled rocket (Falcon 1) to reach orbit (28 September 2008), the first privately funded company to successfully launch (Falcon 9) orbit and recover a spacecraft (9 December 2010), the first private company to send a spacecraft 9Dragon) to the International Space Station (25 May 2012) and the first private company to send a satellite into geosynchronous orbit. In 2011, Musk stated that he hopes to “send humans to Mars’ surface within 10-20 years and believes that by 2035 at the latest, there will be
Tesla Motors are noted to have personnel with a unique expertise in their field of work. These individuals help in carrying out activities that lead to the great performance of the company. The various innovations applied by these people is what led to the better performance of the company. Elon Musk along with taking over the leadership of the company brought about his experience in the firm and this was to influence the future performance of the company. Elon masterminded the designing of the Roadster and also included the marketing of the ordinary vehicle in the goals of the company (Hunger, 2010). This was something which had not been done by those who were there before him and thus his
After SpaceX took off, many other companies have joined in, eager to get into space. While SpaceX, founded in 2002, did not make its first launch until 2008; the company as a whole has been generous in sharing portions of their research and discoveries with other companies. This sharing of information is creating a bond between not only the companies as individual units but across the space exploration industry as a whole and the funding persons within the NASA organization. This is only part of what is giving SpaceX the lead among all of the private space exploration companies.
Organization: Tesla motors has got very good resources and technology however, it was bleeding money. As well as it lacks the good culture and trustworthiness of an organization for example when Martin Eberhard, one of the founders of Tesla Motors had led the investors to believe that the cost of the roadster was $65,000 whereas it turned out to be $92,000 sticker price.
Our goal when we created Tesla a decade ago was the same as it is today: to accelerate the advent of sustainable transport by bringing compelling mass market electric cars to market as soon as possible. If we could have done that with our first product, we would have, but that was
Tesla Motors is a global enterprise specializing in the design, production, and marketing of electric powered vehicles founded in 2003 by the young businessman, Elon Musk. Elon is well known for co-founding paypal, and now he amazes the world again with his incredible vision of Tesla Motors, and being the main product architect. Tesla Motors appeals to the environmentally friendly market, by currently being the only company to sell a zero-emission sports car. Tesla’s fundamental motive and selling point is producing only electric vehicles, as opposed to competing companies, producing a combination hybrid, or diesel car.
1. With his newfound wealth Musk went on to found SpaceX, a company with the intent of establishing commercial space travel.
Tesla is not the innovator of electric car. The technology has already existed since 1959, but due to the factor related to the timing, the company had to cease its operation. The factors involve timing such as, low oil price, supplies of oil, global warming, people awareness regarding eco friendly or green environment.
The aim and vison of Tesla Motors is to provide in the short run cars which are affordable to the average consumer, it started making first sport cars for the enthusiast for speed and environmental preservation, moving then to the second phase to the large market who choses affordable compacts and sedans which in turn will promote and stimulate the electric car trend.
