In my family it was always a big accomplishment to graduate high school. For me that’s not that big of an accomplishment, I want to go bigger. The goals my family wanted me to accomplish are easy, but I’m pushing myself to achieve my own goals. My goals are to play college basketball and study to be a construction engineer. My current classes I’m in right now to help me be a construction engineer is construction tech 2, and I’m in basketball class. The construction class I’m in helps me know how to read plans and to give measurements. That class helps a lot because reading plans and giving measurements isn’t an easy job. Reading plans takes time and practice, and the same goes for giving out measurements. If someone gives the wrong measurements
Being what could be the first one in my family going to college makes me proud of myself and makes me push harder. Having large life goals is something hard to accomplish but not something impossible to do. Starting now with my life goals is going to be easier than if i wait until later on.
The most important long range goal I have ever had was to graduate high school. This has been one of my goal's throughout my career as a student. It has been my main goal because I will be the only child of my mother's to graduate from high school. My mother has always pushed me to my best and has always told me to reach for the stars with this goal, because she did not want me to get a GED like she did. My education goals consist of learning something new every day. Throughout my educational career as a student there were major and minor bumps in the road, yet my goal of being able to receive a high school diploma kept me thriving to accomplish it. Now as the last few months of school wind down closer and closer to graduation my heart grows
I have several notable accomplishments, most of them are of academics. Some of the awards/accomplishments that I can recall ever since I was in middle school are: First position on spelling contest, department award for the most Helpful student, Student of the quarter, Presidential award for educational excellence (Gold Seal), 4.0 Honor roll, Indian Classical dance, Achieve3000 state winner, department award for “Excellence in English Language Acquisition,” and Academic Excellence Lettering Award. Among all these awards and recognition, I consider Achieve3000 to be the greatest because it was a state level competition and was moderately competitive to win. In the Achieve3000 program, basically, an individual has to compete with the students
As a senior I hope to accomplish many goals, some of them being in high school and some relating to college. A goal is an aim or a desired result, but may not always be achieved. Going into senior year I have aspirations of going to a good college and working for higher grades.
As far as goals, I intend on graduating from college and fulfill my aspiration of having a professional career. Growing up, my father has always worked minimum paying jobs and living for paycheck to paycheck, while my mother has always been a housewife. Whenever it came to school, my parents encouraged me to do my best in my studies.
I was struggling. That much was evident from the pile of papers that surrounded me; unfinished assignments just waiting to be completed. That being the case, there were numerous obstacles I encountered during my earlier years in high school. Between studying for tests, completing homework assignments, and balancing job/after school activities, the only thought on my mind at that time was to challenge stereotypes thrown at me. Being raised in a Mexican household, there were common misconceptions about our race of how we lacked ‘certain abilities’ and I wished to contradict their thoughts. Making my parents proud was the first accomplishment I needed to complete; showing others what I was capable of was an added bonus.
Everything that I desire hinges upon the quality and depth of my education. Completing high school is merely the beginning of a much longer journey during which I will receive an enormous
Our team practice everyday for 2 hours and our record was 23-1. We were the first team ever to win in our age division to ever win for St.Mary’s. We had a hard time in the beginning of the season. One of our best players injured her knee. She was running towards the loose ball and her knee twisted. She was out for the rest of the season. Looking back on it made me better because I learned how hard you to to practice or try to achieve your goal.
As a black male who grew up in a low-income family in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and recently immigrated to the US, I am confident that I will significantly contribute to the diversity and education of the University of Colorado School of Medicine community. Through my unique perspectives, community awareness, and personal resilience I know that I will be a positive attribute the CUSOM and the communities it serves.
Two different post-high-school events have been in my plans since I was a young boy. They are: earn money for and serve a church mission, and attend Brigham Young University. These goals stem
My goals include finishing high school, then moving on to college. After completing college with a high GPA I plan to teach for two years and take master classes in order to receive my counseling degree and furthermore impact others’ lives around me. After completing these dreams I hope to settle down and begin a family of my own. I think that all of our decisions we make now will affect us in the future and that is another reason why I have to goal I do. I want to be a wonderful example to my children. I want them to see that education is valuable and if I can do it then they can to. I want them to succeed in every way possible and if I demonstrate determination now then it will transfer on to their lives and maybe you never know they will be the next Thomas Jefferson or Susan B. Anthony. My goal for higher education is tremendous. Not only will a higher education be an example to my children. It will allow me to continue learning throughout my whole life. This education experience is a blessing to anyone that can pursue it and will overall affect them their whole life. My passion for completing my education so I can pursue my dream job is uncountable. I want this more than anything and I will complete it with whatever I
My current goal is to graduate from high school with an advanced diploma. I plan to make “AB” honor roll and to study harder than I ever done before. Rumor has it that being a senior can be a challenge. But, challenges can be fun too! In the process of
Success is defined as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. I aimed for something
Above all, my personal goals are to learn as much as I can and make my family and myself proud of what I’ve accomplished. I’ve realized that college is a great opportunity to further my education and I want to take advantage of that by taking in as much knowledge as possible. The reason for this goal is to know that I did the very best I could when I graduate college. Not only will that make me proud but it will make my family proud too. Staying motivated, focused, and determined is going to be the key to
My greatest accomplishment thus far, has been getting high grades in college. Accomplishing this required: patience, dedication, tenacity, stamina, and confidence. It took patience because there were long hours that were dedicated to homework and studying. It took dedication because I had to continually tell myself that it would be worth it, even when it was difficult. It took tenacity because I knew that I couldn't accept anything less than my best. It took stamina because there were a lot of late nights and just a lot of time in general to complete everything that was required of me. Lastly, it took confidence because if I didn't believe that I could, it would have made it a million times harder.
