My number one goal right now is to get into American Academy of Dramatic Arts and starting my studies in January. It is Important to me that I get into AADA because I am passionate and determined about acting. I need to get the best education in the field and to establish connections that can quickly get me recognized for the growth of my career, I want to learn from the best. The Entertainment Industry has the most competition and I want to be able to flush out some of it through my skills and education. I want to make my debut in the acting world well equipped. It is also in my best interest to Increase acting awareness In Zimbabwe, where the Industry is still small and acting is still considered somehow nonsense.
My second goal is to have
My goal and main objective is to be an actor, that people who feel alone can connect to. When I was really down, I felt like there was no one I could connect to; except for the characters I would see in movies and tv shows. It was the characters that I saw myself in, that gave me hope. The characters actors play bring a new sense of belonging to the people who watch them and that's something I want to payback for the hope I was given.
To seek admission into the MFA–Acting program at Yale School of Drama to transform myself into a lifetime actor by working on my physical and vocal instrument at the world-class academy, learning acting techniques, scene study, voice, text, speech, dialects, singing, particularly Alexander technique, in a collaborative, creative and diverse environment.
When I worked as a waitress at a diner I would get a lot of people that would ask what I was going to go to college for, what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. They saw I was working hard and figured I must be smart, that I must be "practical". Their faces would fall the minute I said I wanted to go into acting. A lot of times I would get laughter, other times I would get a lecture on how the real world works, in one instance when the man left his tip it was followed by "use that to pay for a real degree." It got to the point where I wouldn't tell people the truth anymore; they would ask what I wanted to go into and I would reluctantly say teaching, or nursing, just to keep them quiet. Because in their minds because I was working at this small little diner, no makeup on, hair a mess, covered in water and batter, living in the sticks of Ohio, it was impossible that I could be successful in an acting career. They had never seen me act, they didn't know what I'd been in, they didn't see my passion or my drive, they didn't know if I had a good voice or not. They just knew that I was a silly child who was making a poor decision because I wanted fame. "That is impractical" "No one does that" "That just doesn't
Next year, I will be attending Jonathan Law High School. When I am a freshman, there are a lot of things that I want to accomplish. Some of the goals I have are that I want to accomplish by the end of the year are: to be on the volleyball and softball team, and I want to make new friends. I also want to take some more difficult classes and pass them and join some clubs.
To get started, however, I have to pursue my ambition. I applied to Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI to join the theatre group and learn everything that has to do with stage and television. Then, I plan on transferring my credits to The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles, California. and was accepted a week later after my audition in Detroit for their acting program, and was thrilled to find that I have a chance to finally get out on my own and go across the country to become a star. But due to financial issues, it seems almost impossible to follow those dreams. But I am determined to follow this path that has opened for me. These college’s will not only give me the opportunity to become an actress, but will provide for me special classes that will teach me advanced skills and knowledge that I will need to know upon entering that career. I want to be able to attend the academy and broaden
deal more than I need to learn before I can achieve my dream of building a business in the Asia
We were the place to be for the season with sales exceeding three times expected for that year. As a result of my ingenuity and dedication, the department store hired me for a permanent sales position. It was a very rare opportunity because this store was the national corporate headquarters for the department store chain and they had very little turnover in staff. I loved the new permanent work and enjoyed learning about fashion from the expert associates each day.
My academic goal is to graduate Argosy University with a bachelors degree in Forensic Psychology in three years time. Forensic Psychology is the study of the criminal mind, in a nutshell. The main motivation to achieve this goal would be intrinsic. I love asking questions and knowing the answers as to why people do what they do, and in a criminals case, what led them to committing the crime. This goal, however, may have some extrinsic motivation as well. Being knowledgeable about certain behaviors that criminals poses may help solve or even prevent a crime. In addition, having a degree will help open different paths in life, ones that may present me with greater job opportunities. My attitude toward the learning process will help my achievement of each goal because I am eager, determined and motivated. My greatest desire is to succeed in life, and obtaining an education is one thing I know will help me. I perhaps will need to make some adjustments along my journey. I do not know yet if I will find another educational path that intrigues me the most. For now, I do not feel that any adjustments need to be made.
When considering a career to study, acting is a very valid choice to look into. Acting is a great career to study because it has great hourly pay, for every show there's a new group of people to work with, and when acting, one gets to dress up and play pretend.
“I wanted to be an actress. I wanted to be known. Yes, it's difficult sometimes. I believe that if you're going to be in a profession like this, which is so open to criticism, to speculation, you need to have people around you who will believe in you and stand by you,” Katrina Kaif, renown actress. Throughout centuries, the career of making plays and movies has influenced many aspects in today’s society. The art of the acting industry has progressed dramatically over time, especially with the involvement of women. However, a process was made to get to the point of where actresses are today. If women did not break through oppression and inequality barriers, the acting industry would not be where it is today.
The story of my life up until now would consist of me always performing as a child; I always told myself and others that I was born to perform. Even in the womb, I must have been just waiting to come out, to burst onto the world's stage doing a tap time step going hop, step, falap, step, shuffle, hop, step, falap, step. Entertaining others when I'm on stage gives my body an unearthly feeling of contentment, joy, and most of all love. However, it took me awhile and a few tries to figure out how to actually achieve my goal of becoming a musical theatre performer and knowing the steps to further my education in the craft. With my education from Holy Cross High School and my training at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) I have learned
Ever wondered what it would be like to fulfill something like to get a perfect grade point average, or even kick the winning goal. Yes those are all perfect goals to succeed at, but mines a bit different. I want to do something different, like lets say something that no one really has the energy to do. Acting, in late 2014 I signed up for a class that will help me learn many things, like modeling too. You’re probably thinking modeling isn’t really the best for acting. Though modeling has helped with confidence. I want to become a actress in the future, to be well known with people. Acting is like a passion I want to succeed at and hopefully be the best in the best. Probably around 10 years by now you’ll see me starring in movies or doing commercials until then, this will be my Long Term Goal.
Going to college has been a dream of mine growing up. I am the first ever in my family to go to college but figuring out how to pay for it has been a challenge. I desire to achieve my academic and career goals and this scholarship can help me succeed in my journey.
There will always be something that will get in the way of achieving any kind of goal that you may have. Whether it be an academic goal, a career goal, or a family goal that you want to achieve, you need to be prepared for what may happen. To be prepared, you need to have objectives that you must achieve first, in order to achieve the overall goal. For each objective, you need to think of any barriers that may hold you back in the process. For each barrier, you need to come up with a plan that will help overcome each barrier. This may be a long process, but in the end, it will help you tremendously.
The future is a time or a period of time in which we follow through from the moment of speaking or writing our intentions. It is a time that has yet still to come. The future is what we work for, to go through school and have a career, in order to have a better life. My parents have taught me to work hard for the things I want, and I wish to have a bright future. That is one of the reasons why I am here at CI, to get an education that will help me find a career with sufficient salary that will support me and my future family.
