I once heard a quote that T. Roosevelt said. It started with “Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” I have believed and my life has been already halfway there. On a cool spring day, on May 25, 2005 I was welcomed to the world. I was born an identical twin at 2:29 PM. I was born first. I was referred to as Baby A before I was born. I weighed 6lbs 12oz and 18 ¾ inches. I had to be in the nursery for 12 hours to get more oxygen. I was named after Jada Pinkett Smith. My mom decided on the name and my sister picked me to be named Jada. Many of our family and friends came to hold and see me. That was a day I will never forget.
May 25, 2006, was an exciting day for me, my family, and my friends. It was my first birthday! Many friends and family came to our house to celebrate it. Me and Kylie both got a smash cake to dive into. My mom had to show us how to eat the smash cake, because we had no clue what it even was. We dived into the smash cake and I thought it tasted delicious! I had it all in my hair and all over the place. It was the best thing I’ve ever tasted, because all I ever ate was baby food and that tasted nothing like the smash cake did. When it was time to open presents everyone gathered in the living room and helped us open them. After watching how to open the presents I wanted to try, so I ripped open the presents and I was shocked at all the different presents everyone bought me. The present that I remember the most was these little pink and purple cars.
That morning I was so happy and filled with excitement. I came into school and everyone was happy to see me. Even people I barely knew were happy to greet me with a sincere birthday congratulations. It was awesome because I had so many new friends and all of us were joyful on that day.

At my 10th birthday my parents organized a big, cheerful party and I invited all my friends, about seventeen children. My mother cooked many cupcakes, cookies with my and my friends' names. Table was laid and covered with delicious and tasty sweets. In the center there was a huge, yummy cake with fruits, chocolate and nuts. I remember the taste of that cake till now. The cake had four layers, inside each two there were different fruits covered with chocolate cream and jelly.
In the second millennium BCE astronomers in Babylon already knew about the circular motion of the sun and moon in the sky (Fig. 5.4) and about the Eastern concept of cyclical time. But the ancient image of the linear Time in Babylon and later in Greece, was supported by the observation of linear movement of the floats in water clocks (clepsydras) that were invariably used by all
Doing anything to survive is a natural animal instinct. Some of the greatest novels and award winning films such as Animal Farm by George Orwell and The Revenant directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu depict the struggle of survival. As beings, we will do absolutely anything to stay alive even if it’s in sake of others lives.
We started school almost two weeks before my birthday, while in school i was telling everyone that I was getting a guitar. People who I knew who played guitar were going to help me learn how to play. When my mom told me she was getting me the guitar I didn’t notice that she didn’t say the guitar she said a guitar. I also didn’t notice that she was smiling and laughing when she had said that. The morning of my birthday Aug. 27, I woke up to my mother and sister singing happy-birthday to me. My best friends gave me some candy as gifts while heading to school. While at school all my teachers wished me a happy birthday and some of my favorite teachers even gave me a gift. That day at school was a good day one of the best days I had all three years of middle school. While on the school bus going home all I could think about is getting the guitar and playing it. When I opened the door my mom and sister were waiting for me with a cake. The cake was very big cake with guitars and note’s all around it with a plastic guitar in the middle of the cake with the words “ROCKSTAR” written on it. After we ate I started opening presents I gotten money from family that lived in Colorado, had gotten a few more
It was September the 9th my birthday. I had just turned 16 and my mother and father had a big surprise for me. They got me a new car with a full tank of gas. My aunt got me a gas card with a 150 dollars on it. They she took me to a rim and speaker store and got me some rims and speakers. My dad took me out to eat and the movies. When I came home, we had a party.
We all sat down and talked. We talked about how everyone has been. My sisters school and my brothers new job. While we were talking there was another knock on the door. I went to go open the door and it was the pizza and the wings. I payed for them and grabbed the boxes and walked into the kitchen where my family was. Everyone was really hungry but my family really wanted me to see the big surprise they got for me. SO we agreed we would go outside to see what they got me. We went outside when I saw what they got me I almost cried in joy. My family got me the same looking motorcycle that was on my cake. It was a black Kawasaki Ninja 2017. It had a nice leather seat. The lights were bright white and it was really shinny. But I had one question.
I have always wanted the opportunity to have a day where I had a choice of whatever I wanted to do, regardless of cost. To me personally, family time is essential, and all these activities that I would do in my perfect day wouldn’t be the same if I didn’t have family with me. As the day goes on, it becomes obvious that this is a very unrealistic day, cost and time wise. The places I would visit, the old friends I get to see again, and even the great food I would get to eat, make my perfect day truly special. My perfect day would consist of time with old friends and family, but would also include activities I would probably never get the chance to do in my normal life.
It was a sunny morning in California,it was also my 15th birthday.I got out of bed and did my morning routine. I opened my closet to chose what I should where today, I found a dress that was white until your stomach and then was purple with a flow free bottom.I matched some white flats with my dress and headed downstairs.I greeted my mom “Good morning mom.” I noticed that dad was nowhere near by. “Mom where's dad ?” “ Honey something urgent came up so your dad had to step out.How about we get some breakfast from dunkin.” I nodded my head so we stepped out the house. When we arrived I ordered a glazed donut, mom got herself a chocolate sprinkle donut and got dad a pumpkin spice donut. We finished up eating and headed home.
As a kid Sundays were my favorite day. It was full of family time with my two older brothers, my younger sister, and both my parents. My brothers were typical teenage boys and even though they annoyed me and my sister, I still looked forward to Sundays because family was the most important thing to me as a kid. Our average Sunday began by going to morning Mass and afterwards we ate lunch together. My dad’s favorite place to eat was Olive Garden, so we would go there often. My dad was my hero because he always put his family first and made me feel safe. My dad was the breadwinner of the household and worked to provide for us while my mom stayed home to look after the kids. Although looking back we weren’t very rich, my parents still found ways to make us happy and give us the things we wanted and needed. Little did I know my world was about to come crashing down.
“Come on Denise and Becca, we’re going to late,” my dad said while getting my brother out of the baby blue walker. We ran to car excited with the thought of cake in our minds. I went in after my sister, sitting in my booster seat waiting for my dad to buckle me in while my mom puts my brother in his car seat. As we got to Peter Piper Pizza, I knew I was going to have a blast with all the games, the food, and most importantly the cake. There were balloons and decorations everywhere, my mom holding my hand as we were walking to where my cousin's party was.
Surpriesed things usually make you happy but sometimes it also makes you sad. Surprise makes you become full of emotion. You can feel sad and happy at the same time. I felt that once. It was a goodbye party for me. I was going to go study abroad so my friends hold a party for me. Only my best friend and me were there. On that day, the sun was shining, the birds were singing. I had thought that it would be a happy day. However, it wasn’t.
Can’t wait, it’s going to be my biggest day of my life. Thursday yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Dad walk in and asked “why are you so excited?“
