Leah and her friend, Josey, have been best friends since they were in kindergarten. They live next door to each other, right on the shore of the beach. Leah is tall and muscular. She has brown hair and eyes as blue as the ocean. She is on both the soccer and surf team. Leah doesn’t really enjoy school. In contrast, her best friend, Josey, has hair like the golden sky on a sunny day and chocolate brown eyes. She is short and skinny. Josey is on the mathletes team and loves school. They seem like opposites of each other but they do have a lot in common. Josey and Leah both love hanging out at their favorite cafe, The Beachside Cafe. Also, they both love all marine animals and really enjoy spending their free time at the beach. Josey and Leah do everything they can to help animals. For example, they volunteer at the SPCA and sell crafts to raise money to donate to wild animal rescue groups.
One day, when they were enjoying a walk on the beach, they came across a baby sea turtle that had deep cuts across its neck and body. It was bleeding and looked very sick. Leah told Josey to keep the baby sea turtle safe while she sprinted as hard as she could across the soft sand to find help. Leah’s legs felt like jello. She felt like she couldn’t run any further when she came across a man and a woman walking on the beach collecting sea glass. Leah, out of breathe, managed to say, “Please help! There is a baby sea turtle who is seriously hurt. We need to help it soon to save its
The world has your life as a mystery and a game. The wind blows by, and the winter air flushes against my face. At first, my heart was beating fast, thinking of unpredictable situations, looking for the way out of the forest. But, what have I done? I only remember when I was little, pretending to be a spy, capturing the unwelcome gentlemen, adventurous, curious, and peculiar. But, there was also my best friend Chris with me. Although, what could I have ever done to him? There were times that Chris and I would go on these adventures, where we would try to capture all of the money from these top spy ninjas. Chris and I used to be best friends and somehow driven into this extended argument that I wasn't even part of.
More than ⅔ of Americans have lost their best friend my story starts on January 25, 2017 I was in the 7th Grade and I had lost someone very close and important to me, they were my best friend whom I’d talk to on a daily basis at school, at home, and even outside of school we always had found a way to hang out with each other until this day all of that had changed we don’t text, facetime, hangout , or sit with each other anymore , it was all gone we’re not even in the same hallway anymore it’s almost like the saying “ Whatever happens there , stays there “ but in this case it’s “ Whatever happens in 7th Grade stays in 7th Grade.”
It was late November snow fluttered gracefully, piling on every flat surface. Memories flooded back to the times long ago of my best friend and her fruitcakes. She was my best friend, her eyes shimmered and gleamed when she smiled and her excitement at the smallest things reminded me of a kid at Christmas. Sometimes I sit back and look back at all the days before they transported me off to school, and snatched me away from her, the tears in her eyes reflecting her hurt. I never could understand what my parents meant when they said it was for the best to take me elsewhere, that she wasn’t providing me properly. When I look back now, I think she did a wonderful job of teaching me the ways of living fully, and giving to others for nothing in return.
I will never forget my beloved Lily. The way her eyes sparkled in the sunshine, how she made me smile, and feel, is a feeling that I will never be able to feel again for anyone else. She was the love of my life. I mean, I was 15 years old and I just knew that I wanted to marry her and nothing would ever change that. When I first met her, I knew that she was something special and this love would mean something. On the day we met, my best friend, Daniel, came to visit and introduced her to me and I will never forget that meeting.
October 10th, 2017 a windy day I lost my best friend, my lover and all, but not to death or anything, but to the change of heart. It was a long 4 months I was in love, something I never felt before toward anyone. I met Matarr in 6th grade, that’s when I was taller than him, now he’s huge like a tree, he’s still really dark, and still goofy like the first day we talked. We were best friends ever since we talked everyday day and night all the time we grew up together kind of at least. In 7th grade we just got closer and closer, then in 8th he decided to switch to Ucap I mean at first it was hurt, our friendship did change a little bit though. We still talked every now and then and in December of 2016, I started to catch a crush on him.
The moment my cousin lost his best friend, his world was filled with sorrow. It all started when they were in college, my cousin “Courtney” was 20 at the time, and he met this girl at a campus coffee shop and her name was Sarah, she was 18. What attracted Courtney to Sarah was how much of a beautiful, and charming girl she was; and her chestnut brown eyes and straight brown hair.
It was a Monday afternoon that would start the worst week of my life. Losing someone is tough, but losing someone who has been your best friend ever since you met him which you’ve been with for around 9 years is seriously tough. This happened a around 4 years ago in December. It happened a few days before Christmas. What a Christmas present. This would be the first Christmas without my best friend. It’s hard losing someone that is always right there with you.
See when I met you I didn't understand what was it that drew me to you you instantly intrigued me with your charm and easy going way. Although that first encounter u mess up my nights by coming into the studio cause I didn't want teach beginners that day. But I forgive u..the moment you kiss me under the street light ess the day I knew I wanted to take one last gamble at love. Although we joke about you arriving late in my life. The moment was perfect and our story is one only people can dream about.
While most people celebrate life on their birthday, the world’s energy had other plans for my cousin Eli. He was my best friend, but life’s struggles led him to a dark place. His story can help others learn to focus on the better things in life. We met through my step brothers when I was eight and he was twelve. Eli was my step brother cousin, so he became my step cousin we bonded right away. We played video games and played basketball. As time went on we got older and time got harder. Our parent became poor, so we had to get things on our own. We started working together on the block doing things like cutting grass and washing cars.
With the knowledge I have of my best friend Cole Haverland, I thought I knew him so well because of our long lasting, never ending best friendship. He is an amazing genuinely good friend that will always be there for me when I need him or when he thinks I need him and he showed me that he will forever be my friend and help me in a time of need without thinking.
On a hot summer day I with my mom in her tan Buick Lucerne outside of Wendy’s watching hundreds of cars pass by on the road waiting for my best friend and her mom to arrive and retrieve me. I would step outside at times, smell the fresh air mixed with a mouthwatering scent of fast food, then beg for the next grey car I see to be them. The moment they had arrived, I was too lost in my own thoughts to notice. I had gotten sidetracked thinking that I looked horrible because I curled my hair to a type of wavy that I did not truly like, but the moment my mom said that they were here those thoughts stayed in the car while I ripped open the door and ran to my lifelong friend. I ran as fast as my legs could carry and tacked her in a bone crushing hug that landed us on the soft light green grass. I noticed her hair had grown to a length that reached just below her shoulders, her skin had gone from a light skin to a glowing tan, and her body looks overall toned from the hours of track she has been accomplishing. After the hour of everyone catching up, it was time to take our leave. I couldn’t wait to arrive and officially be treated as family. It is easy to experience being a part of a friend’s family when you are so close that you are treated as if you are blood.
It was pouring with rain, the soggy banners were peeling off the wall and the flags were hanging limply from the lamp-post above us but I had never felt happier. “Hi I’m Sophie, I just moved here. Will you be my friend?” Five-year old me asked, smiling earnestly at the marching girl I had ran up to. As the parade stopped at a traffic light, she grasped my hand. “Let’s be best friends!” She said. So we were, for seven years. Although I would hang on the words of people at school, willing them to like me, every evening I would hop round to hers. There I was happy, I felt safe. It was calming to me, to have an escape from the people my age who were growing up to fast in my mind. We stayed very close until I reached primary 7 and realised that soon I would be in high school – and alone. That terrified me.
My dog Murphy, who was seven years old, was like my best friend. He was always at my side since day one. He was a loving, fun, and comforting dog. Murphy was super protective of me and would always try to get someone’s attention when he thought I needed help. I never knew a dog was capable of doing that, but he could. Murphy was literally the best dog in the world. Anytime I was sad, he knew. To cheer me up, I got his slobbery kisses to the point where my face was gone at the end! I always saw a long life planned ahead for him. I expected him to live till he was twelve, like most dogs, but that wasn’t the case.
People enter your life, some are worth keeping, and some are not. Meeting my best friend Leyia that day in the second grade has impacted my life in so many ways. Leyia has taught me how to be more confident in myself, how to resolve my problems, and how to open up and express my feelings to others since I tend to be shy. She knows everything about me and I know everything about her. We are inseparable and it’s always a good time filled with laughs and excitement whenever we link up together. There have been many ups and downs in our friendship but we still managed to become close to each other again like nothing ever happened.
Alyssa Taylor, my best friend of almost twelve years. In first grade, I had moved schools and houses three times. I eventually moved into a duplex in Clovis that just happened to be next door to who would become the most important person in my life. We met in first grade, but for a while our friendship was the occasional conversation or "hello" in the school hallways. I knew she lived by me and one summer, being a bored and fairly lonely child from having moved schools, I continuously told my mom how much I wanted to go next door and ask Alyssa to play. Eventually, I got the courage to do so and I brought along my giant, foam Disney princess hopscotch puzzle pieces. Each piece had a princess on it and you connected the pieces in order to create a hopscotch set up. I nervously rang the door bell and waited for an answer. When she opened the door, I asked, "Hi, I know we only see each other at school, but do you want to play with me?" I know, kids are super awkward. Regardless, she said yes. That was the beginning of our friendship.
