The Denture Dissertation Our teeth are some of the most overworked bones in our body. We use them to grind, gnaw, crush, and pulverize food every day. Despite this workload, we still expect our teeth make us look fabulous when smiling for the camera. Imagine life without teeth. Imagine life with false teeth. Would we smile as much? Would we still enjoy our favorite foods? Let’s explore these questions further as they have played major role in my short career as a registered dental assistant. Immediately after high school, I attended Concorde Career College with the goal of obtaining a dental assistant degree. Dental assistants help dental operators such as dentists and dental hygienists with providing more efficient dental treatment. We also prepare patients for treatments, sterilize instruments, handle instruments, operate dental equipment, process dental radiographs, and take dental impressions (“Dental Assistant”). After graduation, Affordable Dentures and Crowns in New Braunfels, Texas was where I began my career as a dental assistant. Our services primarily included dentures, crowns, and tooth extractions. During my time there, we’ve completed numerous extractions and replaced teeth with dentures also known as false teeth. Dentures are removable appliances that can replace missing teeth and help restore a patient’s smile. There are many steps involved in providing dentures.
