My career goal is to obtain a master’s degree in Family Nurse Practitioner within the next two years. It was always my dream as a little girl to be in the nursing profession. Caring for people is very close to my heart. After graduating from high school, I started working as a certified nursing assistant in a long-term care facility. Later on, I decided to go back to school and obtained a practical nursing license in 2008. However, I knew furthering my career was the right thing to do. Therefore, I decided to go back to school and got my Registered Nurse license in 2013 and Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2016. I love what I do for my patients. However, I would like to do more by providing primary and preventive care to the people in my community. People are more vulnerable when they are sick. I understand that no individual chooses to be diagnosed with a treatable or terminal illness. Therefore, it is my duty to treat everyone with respect and dignity the same way I would want others to treat me and my family. As a nurse, providing the best quality care to my patient is what I strive for every single day. My goal is to complete the Family Nurse Practitioner program and later obtain a Doctorate in Nursing.
Choosing the Family Nurse Practitioner specialization will allow me to continue providing care to people in needs. Furthermore, making a difference in people’s lives is my greatest joy. There are many patients who do not have an established primary care physician. Many
