My College Composition I Portfolio

The process of creating this ePortfolio has taught me that it's a long process and that you should try your hardest to make sure that your portfolio is your best work. I will be graduating soon and this portfolio shows my journey through high school and how far I've come since the beginning of freshman year. Therefore it gives me pleasure to know that all my hard work and time has paid off. In conclusion, thank you reader for your time in reading and evaluating my Capstone Portfolio.

In the beginning of the second semester of my senior year I created a binder called a writing portfolio. It held all the assignments and essays I had finished in class. The writing portfolio is like a sapling that would grow to become a tree with each new addition of essays added to it. Academic Writing: English 151 was a grueling class that paid off in the long run. It was a difficult class that was insightful into writing well since it taught me the basic mechanics of grammar and English at the same time. It pushed me to the limits of writing at the utmost potential I was able to write. Some people might say that this class is just another English class with an embellished name to it, but it is nowhere close to a regular English class. It is literally a class that can be frightful at first glance because of the amount of essays we write at a college level.

In order to succeed in any business, it is extremely important to understand the stock market. In this assignment we were asked to follow the stock market continuously for four months and understand the market. The stock market is a global marketplace, where goods and services are traded in the form of equities.

This is my English Composition portfolio, and it contains all the research and papers I worked on during the semester. They're my goals and comments on how i felt I performed.The topic proposals I had this semester were very educztional and interesting to me. My first paper was Social Media's impact on Cyberbullying, this was an interesting topics because it's something I always had in the back of my mind. The next couple papers having to do with field research were more group based and not individual, so I felt like my first paper was strictly about my opinion.

People think that animals want to be in zoos, but they really do not. In some zoos the owners or zookeepers see how the environment is making the animals feel bad or good and they try to change it by giving the animals a similar habitat to where they came from. All three stories “The Stripes Will Survive”, “The Zoos Go Wild”, and “Our Beautiful Macaws and Why They Need Enrichment” deal with protecting animals but they all do so in different ways.

Many companies have implemented the benefit of tuition reimbursement. Tuition reimbursement benefits both the employer and the employee. Our company has approved a budget plan for the expansion of tuition reimbursement for those employees seeking a bachelor’s degree in business and communication. In most cases, companies begin determining whether or not to implement tuition assistance and/or tuition reimbursement during the developmental stages of the company’s benefit package. Other companies wait for the success of the company to begin rolling, and then decide to provide additional benefits for its employees. Offering tuition assistance to employees seeking a bachelor’s degree in business and communication, will qualify employees for new internal professional opportunities. Having employees with bachelor’s degree in business and communications will also benefit the company both financially and socially.

Welcome to my 8th grade portfolio and I am going to talk about how I have grown from 7th grade to 8th grade in math. In math we work on a website called Digits filled with learning based tools and activities that help us master numerous math subjects as homework. We take multiple quizzes and tests always on the current subject we are learning about. Every morning we do warm ups. Warm ups are just practice problems to prepare us for lessons and bigger practices in the upcoming class. My performance in math has improved from weak explanations and work, to detailed, and understandable explanations of math using thorough work. In 7th grade I was in the CC7 class and now I am in CC8. There are number of projects that I could include in my professional portfolio, but I have narrowed it down to three artifacts that I think would stand out. The first artifact that I choose is DD report, which I conducted in intro to motor behaviors class, the second piece is a fact sheet epidemiology and the third piece is a virtual child project from developmental psychology. The reason why I am choosing each of these is because they all are from different departments and areas of study.
