My Controversy Over The Summer-Personal Narrative

“I sat down next to my brother, Dan, on the couch and got on my laptop. He started to look at my laptop and asked what I was doing with a smirk on his face. It was obvious that he knew what I was doing so I ignored him. My homework was to type a 5 paragraph essay on what we did over the summer. As I began to write, my laptop started to glitch. It kept happening over and over as I continued to type.

I had a lot of fun this summer and overall I could say this is one of my best summers. I did a lot of things over the summer, it was all baseball we would alway have games and it did not feel like we had a break. For a tournament we went to Jacksonville, Illinois for a baseball tournament and i had a blast! Even though we came in 3rd and did not win, we still did stuff after the games like swim, play PS4, and much more. Another thing I did was going to South bend Indiana and go to a South Bend Cubs game which is a minor league team for the Cubs. While we were up there we also stopped at Notre Dame and walked around and looked at the campus. We were going to look at the football stadium, but it was under construction. I had a very busy, yet fun summer. It went fast, but I had a good time. My summer mostly consisted of; playing baseball, going on vacation, and attending my family reunion.

This summer was a busy one, let me tell ya! I was either riding the metro in Washington D.C., playing basketball and volleyball, or working with and showing my cattle! Even though it was a busy summer I still found some time to relax and have fun with friends! Summer is my favorite time of year!

Over the summer I had a lot of fun, maybe the most I`ve ever had. I spend a large amount of my summer at my grandparent’s lake house. My grandparents lake house is huge, a mansion compared to my house. At their lake house they have a lot of fun stuff, my personal favorite are the jet skis. I didn’t get to ride them that much, but when I did it was a blast! My days at the lake house were the highlight of my summer, but I did a lot of other fun stuff too!

This summer I hung out with my friends a lot. We went to eat, drove around, and went to the drive inn. My friend Kara and I went to the river many times this summer. On the Fourth of July we went to the Niobrara, and floated down the river. Kara, Kenndal, and I all went to Chamberlain on Kenndal’s birthday. In Chamberlain we went to Dairy Queen, went to a rummage sale, and saw the dignity statue. I had a very fun summer with my friends.

In the few months that we get for summer break I did many things. Most of it was fun, but some was not. My summer was filled with cheer and dance, shopping, and many other things while I was at home.

This past summer was comparable to the past summers. I was with my friends and family tons. Sunday nights were the nights my friends and I would drive to the outdoor movie theater,

My sophomore summer was ok I really didn’t do many things besides play baseball and mow hay. To begin with I was really excited for baseball to start because it’s my favorite sport, but by the end of summer I was ready for it to be over. Mostly because I started playing baseball in the middle of March and didn’t get over until the end of July.

For most people, Summer is the best part of the year. No school, no homework, just a few months of paradise. Many people spend their summer traveling, playing sports, or just hanging out. But freshman Robert Carbajal enjoys his summer at the skate park.

I am going to tell you a little bit of what I did this summer. School just got out and the real work begun, I started work on the first day of summer. I also played in a golf league in Gregory this summer with my dad.

Spring Break is where college students spend an excessive amount of money for a trip down to a so-called 5 star resort to forget about their dilemmas. Their only problems consist of running low on alcohol and what bathing suit to wear that particular day. While I stand on the porch of my sorority house, I gladly wave goodbye to my ‘sisters’ all packed onto a booked party bus; destination Palm Springs. This year I couldn’t afford to go anywhere because the money was needed for personal reasons. Oh well, it’ll be nice to have the house to myself for a while. It could be like my own private vacation where I don’t have to fight over the showers and complain about the lack of hot water.
