The night before Easter I couldn’t sleep knowing what a great day it going to be with delicious food. I had a dream of all the great food we were going to bar-b-que with sides and desserts. My dad and I woke up early Easter Sunday to get everything ready and I knew it was going to be perfect. We started bar-b-queing and I just love the way it smells when I just barely put it on the bar-b-que pit. Especially after the meat cooks for a while, and I open the lid and a white cloud of smoke emerges into my face like when a car burns out and I just inhale then exhale the aroma of the meat. The bar-b-que is almost done on my dad’s pit he had his famous luscious, savory, and juicy beef fajitas with a little touch of lemon juice that I die for. Also he makes the best baby back ribs, with Jack Daniel’s bar-b-que sauce, where before I even tried to bite into them the meat just fell right off the bone and into my mouth. On my tio’s pit he has the juiciest and crispiest chicken wrapped in sizzling bacon with soft and creamy mozzarella cheese between them and when I bit into it I felt like I was in heaven floating into the sky. He loves to marinate the chicken in his homemade sauce that he only knows how to make. This is my tio’s favorite chicken to make and I eat it slowly to savor its perfect flavor. He knows how to cook chicken perfectly that everybody loves. On my grill I had what makes a bar-b-que which is roasted corn my all time favorite. My corn comes out so crunchy and juicy, especially when I put a lot of butter, lemon pepper, and lucas it taste so good, and I love when I bite into it because the juices squirt out on to my face and that’s when you know its comes out perfect. My other favorite I love to cook is sausage I love hear the way it sizzles and smells while it sizzles it’s like music to my ears. Then when you bite into it the juices squirt out into my mouth and on my hand. Do you like eating at restaurants and fast food places? Almost everyone does, but do we really know how healthy and unhealthy the food we are eating is? Labeling food menu choices should become a law. As stated in passage "Label the Meals", one thing both arguments can agree on is that healthy people are happier and more productive. If labeling meals in food places taken upon, it is a way of helping people take charge of their well-being. People should have the obligation of viewing the nutrition information whether the food is nutritious or not.

This means there are situations that may arise through, school, and jobs, cross cultural relationships or interracial dating where one may find themselves in an environment where the people and the culture is much different from their own. To prevent awkward moments, miss understandings or altercations that could jeopardize relationships, I have compiled a list of rules and norms for black barbeques/cookouts for my Caucasian friends and those who might attending one of these occasions as a minority.

Eating chipotle is like touching heaven.The first bite of the burrito is like walking up heavens stair case meaning no worries.I believe the smell of the burrito smells like heaven. It is possible that I could eat Chipotle almost everyday of the week and never get sick of it.
Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate our joys with friends and family. Unfortunately, if you are the person designated to cooking the holiday dinner, the joys can turn into complete and total fear. I'll never forget the first time I made Thanksgiving dinner for twenty family members and friends. I waited until the last minute to start and the dinner ended in a complete disaster. In the years following that failure, I have learned that preparing a Thanksgiving dinner is easy...if you plan ahead.
Madeleine Thien’s “Simple Recipes” is a short story that depicts an immigrated family facing problems of cultural preservation; “Hills like White Elephants” by Ernest Hemingway portrays a couple facing difficulties in decision-making about their unplanned pregnancy. Despite the difference in plots and themes respectively, both stories discuss about relationships are being put at stake as a result of different factors emerge in the plot. In the two stories, competing values, problems with communication and lack of understanding between two people emerge as elements that can ruin a relationship. Therefore, the two stories reveal that selfishness is the initial and eventual cause for broken relationships.
Have you ever tasted school cafeteria food? I don’t think you would want to. In school story books, do you have characters saying that the food tasted good at school cafeterias? Nope. Why is this? Cafeteria food is often cheap, bought in bulk, high in calories, malnutritious, and microwaved. Student polls and opinions prove this. Therefore, this leads to a suggestion: Healthier, tastier foods and a better, advanced lunch system should be implemented.
Never have I taken the time to think of the significance of the kitchen table in my life, but I have come to realize that my kitchen table has always been a place to unwind and share with my family members. From childhood to my adult hood, I have always come to the kitchen table in celebration, conference, in search of security, and enjoyment. The kitchen table of the past always brought my family together, and the table in my present brings focus to my school work and an occasional “catch up” conversation with my family, and in the future I hope to have a similar kitchen table setting as I did in my childhood, but with my own style.
The Making of a Chef was a fascinating book that alternated my perspective on cooking giving me a clearer view of working through a culinary program. Michael Ruhlman gave readers a glimpse of life within the Culinary Institute of America, which is the most critical culinary school in the United States. Nothing is left to instinct or assumed information, everything is shown whether it is with culinary maths or precisely how you lay out unresolved issues for the ideal stock. Everything was just striven to be excellent, not good, nor O.K., but miraculously perfect.

Barbecue is one of my favorite foods. I have always enjoyed going into some greasy barbecue dive, listening to the blues, and feeling pretty cool. Two joints where I have eaten are Big D's Piggy Strut Soul Pit Bar-B-Q in Clemson, South Carolina, and Hy's Deli right across from the School campus. Even though both of these restaurants pride themselves on their barbecue, Big D's is obviously the better.
Do you need some place to go eat after church or just to hang out with friends? Golden Corral is the kind of place you can go to hang out with your friends and chill. The restaurant usually gets so busy on weekends that you will not have a space to park your car. If you want, you are welcome to park in the back, but it is a long walk to the entrance. The food is worth the walk, and many people do not mind because they love bringing their families to this restaurant on weekends. It is one of the best buffets in Omaha. They offer not only great service, but a fun atmosphere for eating with friends or family, and at a reasonable price.
The sweet smell of garlic, tickles your nose as you park your car. Its sweet aroma guides your taste buds to the unassuming establishments were the Italian flavor lingers in the air.
