The alignment will consist of making a connection between and reinforcing measures derived from the organization’s processes and strategy and tying the coalition directly to the student, customer, and stakeholder value and to overall performance. In America a good education is the difference between working at Walmart, and being a computer programer at Google. A good education is one that has these qualities, it is enticing to the student, it prepares the student for the world to come, and provides the student with facts that they can make their own opinions on. Enticing is key to keep the student focus on school rather than other things. If an education is not enticing
Quality in education is one of the most discussed issues around the globe among educational community. There is an emerging consensus that quality in education depends on the enabling inputs, educational processes, teachers’ abilities, and learners’ characteristics and the specific context.
HNUBS has a strict system for educational quality management. It includes three aspects, namely establishment of quality standard, implementation and control of quality standards, and quality verification. The Academic Committee of HNUBS is responsible for standards establishment and final quality verification. The Teaching Guidance Committee of HNUBS, various program-level teaching guidance committees, and relevant course groups review courses related to the majors. The teaching administration departments (including Undergraduate Teaching Administration Office and Postgraduate Teaching Administration Office, MBA Program Centre, EMBA Program Centre, the MPAcc Program Centre, and EDP Centre) have a special post for cultivation management, who is in charge of checking quality standards and controlling the teaching quality. In addition to the quality guidance and supervision from Hunan University, the Business School has to accept external quality audits from Hunan Provincial Education Department, relevant departments from the Ministry of Education in China, China Alumni Association, and AMBA. For example, we are under the latest round of discipline evaluation of Ministry of Education from May 2016.
The purpose of this project was to gain experience in quality improvement by working with an organization to identify a business problem, analyze the causes, develop an improvement plan, implement changes, and to verify the effectiveness of the solutions. For this project we had to keep scope in mind. This project had to follow certain criteria, such as: that it is a manageable project with a local organization, it can be completed within the time frame of the course, it has a direct impact on external customers, it is relatively simple, and that it is not something that is currently undergoing major changes.
As individuals we all have our own perspective on what would amount to quality. With regards to the general public we are a nation of extreme diversity, with individuals and families from a wide-range of nations, cultures, personal beliefs and superstitions. Therefore, quality may and will have contrasting opinions, or values, an example could be as follows: Each of us having a fine meal at a restaurant may or would have contrasting opinion on the setting, service, and the overall quality of the food.
According to Total Quality Management (TQM) (2013, pg 1), “Total quality management (TQM) can help a school monitor and evaluate its effectiveness. There are various TQM models, but they all have a common focus on customer satisfaction and continuous service improvement toward excellence. For schools, the customer is the student.” When a Total Quality Management (TQM) is implemented in an institution it can set it apart from the other institutions. It formulates task teams to manage the institution compared to having a chain of command. An effective Total Quality Management (TQM) institution “Mission Statement” is the foundation of the education process.

The President Ralph Larsen has realized that Wengart has some major problems with the quality however he is focusing on the profitability instead of the longevity of the company. He needs to have the team focus on improving the quality problem or the company’s profits will continue to decrease. Larsen in the effort to improve the quality has decided to seek out help from an OD practitioner who suggests to Ralph to implement Top Quality Management (TQM). Larsen feels that this should be easy to implement and hands it off to Kent Kelly the Vice President. He feels that the TQM program was a matter of common sense (Brown, 2011, p. 365).
Organizations that strive to excel in aspects of innovation, competitiveness, and performance must have clearly defined core values that are executed by specific learning disciplines (Senge, 2010). Giesecke and McNeil (2004) stated, "A learning organization is an organization skilled at creating, acquiring, and transferring knowledge and at modifying its behavior to reflect new knowledge and insights" (p. 55). In the pursuit of defining specific practices that would produce an ideal learning organization, Senge (2008) proposes five disciplines that include, "...systems thinking, mental models, personal mastery, shared vision, and dialogue" (p. 1). In this application paper I will analyze each of the five disciplines discussed by Senge (2008) and discuss how they can be applied in an organization such as the high school where I am currently teaching to address specific areas in need of improvement.
The last aspect is related with the "Culture of Quality", most in relation to the installation of quality processes. During the process of interchange between corporations and universities (Nelson & Watt, 1999, pp. 86–98), it happened a "cultural
