We All Do It

Everybody, at one time or another, has lied. In fact, some people lie almost all the time. Even the young of children lie, especially if they think by doing it they won’t get in trouble for something they did. Sometimes a lie might seem unintentional, or is said to save someone from hurting someone else’s feelings. There are different kinds of lies, and different reason why people choose to lie. In the essay “My dog ate my Homework” (Segal) She explain how there are many different ways people lie in her class from the “death in the family” excuses to the “ totally bizarre excuses”, but the point of her essay was to show the different ways people students lie, and the amount of effort they put into their lies.
