When kids are growing up they always dream about what they want to become when they are older. Some will say astronaut, president, or professional athlete etc. and I was very much one of those kids and just being a professional athlete wasn’t one of them. That’s because I would always dream about what college I would go to and my brother and I would always have conversations like these. We would always talk about the college or professional team we would want to go to and we were never on the same wavelength when it came to these teams. I would always be a Georgia Bulldog, Colts, St. Louis Cardinals, or even Carolina Panthers player. He would be the Fighting Irish (Notre Dame), Braves, Or a Dolphins player. You could call Baylee and I …show more content…
My family and I met up with my mom’s old coworker in Bentonville, Arkansas, which is the headquarters of Wal-mart. Dena let us stay in her house in some of her spare bedrooms and she took us on a tour of the town and showed us some of the best places in Bentonville. Seeing the places that this town had to offer made me fall in love with Arkansas and ruined possible experiences I could have at other colleges because my expectations are so high now. Dena and her boyfriend took us to an amazing restaurant that served some of the best food I have had and had amazing hush puppies. This place was the epitome of southern hospitality making it feel like they knew who you were and gave you something within seconds if you were out of it.
That night they took us to a trail that they rode bikes around all the time and showed us some of the best places to go and where most of the people at Arkansas go to hang out. They also showed us around the campus and some of the more popular places there and around town. We went there during a good time because there was still some sports going on throughout the college and Arkansas was also hosting one of the college world series games. This was a big time in the town having Arkansas making it that far into the tourney and possibly going onto win the championship. The craziest thing was that every sports bar or any place you went had that game on and you could hear
When I went to Gatlinburg, Tennessee I was with my parents, grandparents, my brother, and my cousin Savannah. I got to go to all the little shops, Dig through rocks, and I remember honking through this tunnel we drove in. I guess it was tradition. I remember going to a mini amusement park where we rode go carts. I also remember going to the Titanic museum. I remember touching the ice wall and seeing all the sunken objects. I also remember seeing the grand staircase. I remember it feeling super heavy and emotional
Ever since I was young, I was exposed to a Historically Black College or University, Jackson State University. I had always went to activities and functions such as football games, summer programs, and other special events. I did not know whether I would attend a historically Black College or University (HBCU) or not at the time. I had finally decided to go to a HBCU, and I would attend Tougaloo College in the fall to further my education. I have many goals and objectives for pursing my educational experience at a historically Black College, and I plan to achieve them.
In the 17th century England and Spain were both in a race to settle the New World. After Christopher Columbus had reached this New World Spain almost immediately sent people over to explore and colonize. After the Treaty of Tordesillas secured their land, Spain’s empire quickly expanded across The Americas. England had a bit of a late start when it came to colonization. Even though their first few attempts such as Jamestown, and Roanoke were not very successful England kept at it. Eventually, England and Spain became the two most powerful nations in the Americas. Even though both nations had the same goal, their political, religious, and economic development were very different.
The summer before my sophomore year I got to travel to San Antonio with my aunt and mother. The trip down there was extremely long and boring, but we made memories I will forever remember. We left after I was done with my summer volleyball workout. My mother and I drove to Wichita where we picked up my aunt and we rented a car for the drive down there. It took us 6 hours to drive to Dallas where we stayed the night at my aunt’s sister's house. The next morning we drove to San antonio, on the way there we stopped at Magnolia Market and went shopping.

Enrolled at Miami Dade College is the starting point to complete my long life desire and goal of earning a Master degree in management engineering, and business administration. From the time I was a young kid through the time of high school, I had always have passion for more knowledge, and engineering. But in my senior year in high school to the time of summer, I have led to the discovery of another passion, and great ambition toward it (Business). However, to reach those goals, I will need the power of education, which provide more knowledge, and wisdom to whoever seek. By pursuing a college degree, I have a higher change of successes in both degree, in life also. But this question also deal with emotional feeling, pursuing a college degree
Post-feminism in films can be a cliche, but the female protagonist in Kill Bill gives the role of feminism a better outlook. In the opening scene,it starts off with a non-digetic sound of a woman breathing heavily and then continues with an up-close shot of a brutalized bride on the floor and badly beaten. The scene jumps to an up-close shot of man walking towards the bride. The black and white scene indicates that a flashback is happening, and the low key lighting adds more mystery within the scene. Not yet knowing who the killer is,but the subjective point of view within that scene puts the viewer in the eyes of a murderer.Even though this man is not yet revealed, anyone could most likely guess that this man is Bill. For one,he uses what looks like
I set a goal to further my education by enrolling in college before I turned twenty five. I was on call 24 hours a day as tow truck driver at the time not leaving me time to meet the time frame of that goal. I did not completely give up on that goal and have currently met it. The reason I was eventually able to reach this goal is my unwillingness to give up on the things that are important to me. Even if things don’t go exactly how you plan you should not give up on
We decided to go eat there because it was something new that we all decided we would try. When we got there we went through the buffet and got what foods we thought looked good. When we got down to the tables together we all started eating and realized that, like, nobody really cared for any of the food that was on the buffet and none of us really ate much of what we got. Another thing that we did that was probably both me and Becca’s favorite thing was going on a ride at a little fair thing. You had to wear a harness and then the people pulled you back up then held you for a few seconds and all of a sudden you just drop. It is the tallest Skycoaster in the world and is 300 ft. high overtop of water.
When I was in my junior year of high school my dad have talk to me on what college I wanted to attend. At first I was bit skeptical where I wanted to go, however I had a passion to become an air pilot, so I chose to attend Middle Georgia State. When I looked at the cost to just attend one year of school I had to figure out how I was going to pay to attend because one thing I knew for sure was that my parents were not going to pay much for it. So as my junior and senior year was going by I was applying to all these big scholarships like the Coca Cola, Dell, and even Burger King it all landed to me with losing both years. In the middle of senior year I decided to apply for local organizations but still have not obtain a scholarship of any sort.
I only truly got to go because my aunt who lives on the other side of the country was visiting so my mom and I drove up to Mankato to see her. My mom, grandmother, and all my aunts decided to go shopping so I figured I would just walk down to the park from my aunt Julie’ house, which is up my the Home Depot and Menard's, but my cousin, Lindsey, Lindsey said she would drive me and I made it down there around lunchtime. I walked around, looking at everything for a while before I spotted people from my old school in Mankato.

In today’s world, I feel a college education is crucial and offers so much to a young person starting their next step in life. Education opens up doors by allowing more choices and opportunities by choosing what you are interested in and starting in that career path. My career goal is to attend a 4-year college and obtain my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I would then like to continue on in a Master’s
Why do I want to go to college ,Why would I not want to go to college is the real question? All my life my parents have taught me that education is key to living a successful life.Getting a college education opens so many doors that do not open unless you have a college education I would also be one of the first in my family to go to college Oh my life my parents of stress to me the value of an education in doing this you told me that many doors were open once you get a college degree and if I choose not to get a degree that many doors will be closed in opportunities would not come because I'm not calling in saying that I don't want to be a person and doors close to me just because I didn't get a college education I want to be able to be
For the most part, I grew up in an environment that valued education, and for this I am grateful. My Mom has worked incredibly hard to keep us in Arlington, despite not really having the means to do so. Neither of my parents went to college, and because of this they placed so stress on education, coincidently they both have worked in the school system. After my Dad passed away, my Mom turned all of her attention to making my sister and I succeed academically, forcing us to go to school and stay on top of school work. Because of the large role education has played in my life, my interests are centered around learning, specifically neuroscience, biology, and public health. Currently, I am hoping to become an epidemiologist or physicians assistant.
