In the Caribbean, a tropical and beautiful place, surrounded by blue and clear seawater. Lives ten-year-old Nakili. Adventurous and likes challenges, play’s on the beach with friends until the evening arrives. They will sit on the sand looking at the horizon, watching how the sunlight goes behind the multicolored seas, beyond the white breaking waves on the reef. Nakili was super inquisitive and dreamed of what could be beyond the ocean.
His father. The head of Nicaragua's Miskito's indigenous fishermen; with men from his tribe, were organizing the canoes to go fishing. Nakili, asks him. Can I go with you? “Never,” Said his father.
Please, father, I need to know. Need to know? Said his father.
Nakili said I need to know what is back of the horizon.
His father interrupts the chore he was doing and said. “Listen, Son. We never go beyond the horizon, it's dangerous! We could find giant fishes or sea monsters we can't catch, they could eat us.”
Nakili ran to meet his friends and tell them what he had just learned, and sure of himself he said, “So, we must plan now. We need to go to find out what is behind the horizon”.
“Hah, are you crazy? we should never go there." said his best friend Bigfoot. Listen! Said Nakili. “This is a secret, promise you will Never talk about.’’ Nakili and his friends took one of the fishing canoes that was laying on the beach. There was always an adult watching and taking charge of the canoes. What are we going to do now? Said Bigfoot.
Approximately one hundred yards up the trail, I found a small side trail that led down to the lake shore. Following my intuition, I decided to walk down the trail to investigate the area. Little did I realize that this decision would put me within a few feet of a large Bigfoot, along with several members of its

A mysterious yet beautiful unknown hidden world to human eyes which held the deepest, shimmering eternal blue, just like the finest sapphire jewels or the prettiest earth flowers, hidden deep beneath the dark crystal waters. I was born in these waters, and to the ocean is where I will return and die. I closed my eyes, as I turned my face to the wind. The warm, gentle breeze caressed my bare ivory skin, as I felt the warmth and feeling return to the edges of my fingertips.
I inched towards the throbbing darkness, intent on studying the impossible sphere. But Trace’s voice rang in my ears “We mustn’t touch, smell, taste, or study this anomaly without the proper authorities. I’m going to call the command center at ___________.”
The waters of Bora Bora were a translucent blue, where you can observe all the unique creatures and fish. I was approached by a young, sunkissed, indigenous man from Bora Bora who provided me with a tropical beverage and escorted me to my resort. The island’s resorts sat upon the turquoise waters. Once I reached my room, I changed into my bathing suit and vaulted off my deck into the water. While I was in the water, a handsome young man drifted in a boat alongside of me. He lowered his arm down and conveyed me onto the boat beside him. He guided me to the other side of the island where we swam with dolphins and scuba dived. As the waves were swaying me from side to side, I couldn’t envision a more superior day.
We often see ourselves reflecting on the enormity of life and the wide range of possibilities that comes with it. As if from a distant, we are strangers to our own selves, silently, patiently waiting for something to happen. We could never predict what storms lies ahead and what rainbows glistens on the horizon because we are mere wanderers to our own body, mind, and soul. We are always on a quest of a new pinnacle, and a new mountain to climb.
Lost for a moment, you wonder where you are. The bark of the aimlessly wondering dog brings you back to reality causing your surroundings become clearer. Underneath the ocean floor, small rocks sparkle like tiny gems. Each of them bring a beauty of their own, making you feel part of the ocean. The first whiff is particularly salty that soon dims into an intoxicatingly sweet smell. By inhaling the fresh air into your lungs, you somehow manage to reach paradise. Exploring underwater, the wonders of the ocean are screaming for your attention. The blue and red corals are so uniquely shaped that you cant help but wonder how under-appreciated the ocean is. Everything is perfect, and your mind is open. Thoughts are floating into the stillness of the ocean and the air as time passes by. When sunset reaches, you unwillingly leave the ocean and return to the boardwalk to your family. Look back one last time, the silent beach and the lifeless sand seem washed up from all of the movement of the day. Even the ocean seems desperate for company, but until tomorrow the beach will settle into a colorless
I was six years old when I first saw the ocean on the beaches of Laiya. My family invited me to spontaneous trip to the beach and having never been there before, I joyously accepted. I would never forget the feelings evoked after experiencing the silky smooth sand on my feet and witnessing the water gleaming with light reflected by the radiating sun. Swimming in the water was more mesmerizing as it filled my field of vision with endless colors. The coral reef with the colors of blue, yellow, purple, and pink covered the sea floor along with algae and seaweed. There were also numerous amounts of dark colored fish swimming beneath my feet that balanced the light tones of the coral reef. Streaks of sunlight illuminated them as the water made the plants sway along with the fish. All moving in unison to the subtle movements of water; creating one body, a living entity. I attempted to move in unison with the water and at that moment is when I felt like I belonged there. And leaving was similar to parting home.
Catherine loved Borneo. And like any other places in the world, she heard local’s tale about an outlandish thing. In this case, it was a mad scientist and his beast, but she thought nothing of it, for they had vanished decades ago.
Although the scene is black and white, the various hues of the ocean water can be seen with such clarity. The whitewater, filled with turbulent air, sitting atop the large crashing wave shines brightly and glimmers in the abundant sunlight. The skin on youth’s back is golden and warm, as if it has been kissed by the sun on countless days similar to the one in the scene.
The next day, he got up and looked and looked for his boat again. When he went through some bushes, he found his boat and sailed
The dives from the children digging endlessly to the sea bed. However you hear not a pin drop. Nor you see the tracks from the people before, embroding artwork all to the sea floor. Vivid buckets and spade‘s crashing against each other like swords in jousting, reckoning the essence and beauty of the serene beach.
On an island that is out to kill us; we too turn against each other. With the ocean lapping at the shore. The water washes back and forth on the beach. The wind blows the tiny granules of sand into the dense jungle and thick vegetation. The exotic and vibrant colours and sounds that bellow out of mother nature's organic maze. I slowly walk into the thickness of the jungle, less and less light is penetrating the canopy. As I venture deeper I feel the moisture gathering on my face as the vegetation becomes denser and denser.
Within this pleasant Island of Green Harbor there is a sweet place, a place where little geckoes of different colors live with parrots and palm trees all around like a gate around the warm soft sand and the dolphins live and can be seen from the shore and people can even swim with them if they wish. Where you see people in trees and giant lizards wandering around, where carpets can levitate and waves curl into tubes and and fish can fly and birds can sing, where the sun shines bright and everyone is greeted with a grin. In this special place pearls cause the water to sparkle and the sun causes the pearls to make underwater rainbows among the schools of colorful unique fish. If you look closely and try really hard you might see, a dragon, horse, or even a snow leopard up in a tree or hiding in a volcano or a cave on the water. In this special place in Green Harbor peoples’ nails change with their mood and their closets
