My educational goals are to finish my undergraduate degree, once I graduate to work for the Disney or Lucasfilm corporations. I have a potential job opportunity at one of these corporations because I have a contact that is working at Disney for 40 years. She is my mother's childhood friend, well-respected for her work at the park. She has told me several times over many conversations as I’ve attended PSU that she will put the word out to all her contacts within the company to get me hired at Disney in Los Angeles or in Lucasfilm in San Francisco. I'm very excited this may happen it has been a longtime dream of mine to work for one of these companies that are now one company. If It does not become a reality my plan is to continue to look for
Alexander Stephens in “The Cornerstone Speech,” (1861). Alexander Stephens was the Vice President of the Confederacy during speech, but was originally a Whig. Playing a character at Disney World and being a secondary school teacher are both jobs that have been dreams of mine for many years due to the fact that I could help make an impact in the lives of children. Both character actors and secondary school teachers are able to work with youth, and both occupations offer high job satisfaction. Disney World is one of the happiest places on Earth, and I always smile when I am there. I hope that I can one day put the same big, goofy grin on a little kid’s face that I have always had on my face when I am there. That is my biggest dream. Many of the people in my family have been teachers, including my mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and several of my aunts and uncles. Teaching is in my blood, and I have always wanted to be a teacher. I think middle and high school students especially need good teachers, which is why I want to teach this particular age group. While being a character for Disney has education and skill requirements that I am close to meeting already and a high job satisfaction, teaching will be worthwhile for me in the long run.

My academic goal is to graduate Argosy University with a bachelors degree in Forensic Psychology in three years time. Forensic Psychology is the study of the criminal mind, in a nutshell. The main motivation to achieve this goal would be intrinsic. I love asking questions and knowing the answers as to why people do what they do, and in a criminals case, what led them to committing the crime. This goal, however, may have some extrinsic motivation as well. Being knowledgeable about certain behaviors that criminals poses may help solve or even prevent a crime. In addition, having a degree will help open different paths in life, ones that may present me with greater job opportunities. My attitude toward the learning process will help my achievement of each goal because I am eager, determined and motivated. My greatest desire is to succeed in life, and obtaining an education is one thing I know will help me. I perhaps will need to make some adjustments along my journey. I do not know yet if I will find another educational path that intrigues me the most. For now, I do not feel that any adjustments need to be made.

Luckily, I got accepted and I’m on my way there. Finally, being in college has helped me discover more about what jobs are available to me and the job I want is to be a genetics counselor.
