Have you ever been on an airplane? Well I have. My First airplane ride was kind of unusual and never will be forgotten.it was a long exciting day and a lot of crazy stuff happened. From getting a ticket registered almost not able to get through the security gate, plane delays, and a big tragedy. It was an early Friday morning it was like 4 something, as my mom and me walked out the door to go to the car, still in a daze from being awaken so early I climbed in the front seat and we were on our way to Macon, Georgia to catch the shuttle bus to Atlanta airport. So as we arrived in Macon an got on the shuttle it hit me that I was about to experience my first airplane flight and then I started to get nervous, and a little scared so I started listening to music to try and calm my nerves and it seemed to help a little but as soon as we reached the airport the shuttle bus stopped and the driver said. “Southwest airlines this is your stop”, as he pulled the bus to the side of the curb then assisted the people as they got off of the shuttle bus and helped them unload their luggage. Then he returned and continued down the road and came to the next stop and said, “Delta airlines this is your stop”, my heart jumped cause this was it this was our airline so we got off the bus got our luggage and walked towards the entrance. As we entered the airport I was kind of amazed at how it looked inside there was all kinds of shopping places, places to eat and even a couple places to
I am your pilot this morning, and I will be taking you to Newark, New Jersey. The flight will be about three hours. Sit back, relax and have a good flight. I looked to my left to see my parents on their phones, not paying attention to any of their surroundings. There was a long line of people in the aisle waiting to take their seats, each person pushing large suitcases. In the row across for us, Jack was sitting in the row seat listening to music. Since there was four of us Jack had to sit by himself with two other strangers but he didn’t mind. The engines suddenly started to roar as I started to get pushed gently back into my seat. The front of the plane started to rise from the ground and as soon as I noticed we were up in the air. I took a deep breathe as I took my backpack out under the seat. I grabbed my new book “Looking for Alaska” and began to read. One of my friends gave it to me as a going away gift because she knew I loved to read. After a while, my mind slowly started to drift off onto a whole different planet. I was still in shock that I just left all my friends and I was moving to New Jersey. The whole situation was not processing through my head and I thought that we were just going on vacation to New Jersey, and we were not actually about to live there. Even thinking about having to make new friends and joining a new soccer team sent chills down my body. I am always shy around new people and now I have to break out of my
I had never been on an airplane. My stomach felt like I had just eaten rotten fish and I was about to throw up. I was so excited to go, but at the same time I was scared because I had never been on a plane. We waited in the airport for at least an hour. Finally our flight was called, as I walked on the plane my heart was about to jump out of my skin. After the flight attendant had went through all the rules and we put our seat belts on the plane was going to take off. I thought the worst thing about the flight was taking off and landing. I didn?t like taking off and landing because my ears popped. Other than the fact that my ears popped taking off and landing the flight went smooth, we didn?t crash. When the plane landed, I couldn?t wait to stand on solid ground again.
After all of that we we’re getting on the plane. We found our sets and sat in them and buckled up we were ready for our flight. Were on a plane I was really excited about the trip, when we took off it was going down the runway faster and faster then all of a the sudden the plane was going up off the ground then we were in the sky floating forward. Then the plane was going fast whenever I looked out the window everything on land and not in the air looked tiny it was an amazing site from up above. It felt like we were flying with the birds.
We got up in the morning and left for the airport. We had become professionals at packing and unpacking, exiting and entering hotels, jumping in cabs, trains, and planes. I felt like a world-class traveler.
Skipping the last week of school to fly in a plane for the first time across the ocean to another country was a thrill. Frankfurt, Germany was my first plane stop. From there I would board another plane that would take me to Budapest, Hungary, then finally to my last destination, Romania. This was the first time my siblings and I flew on an airplane and it was fascinating because every seat had a mini T.V. behind them and the food was delivered right to our seats. This was a different but exciting experience because we could watch movies whenever we wanted, we got to order whatever food we desired, we didn’t have to sit next to our parents, and sitting next to old people came with a major perk. My siblings and I always got seats next to
I remember the first time I flew in an airplane. My eight-year-old self looked out the window of the terminal I was taking off from, astounded by the large size of the vehicle. Worried, I thought to myself how could something that big fly with so many people? Yet, as the plane took off my worries became excitement. Not only was this my first flight, this was the event that marked the start of my new life, my takeoff from Vietnam to America.
A rough takeoff with crosswinds blowing us side to side and lightening bolts striking down right next to us. Turbulence that would throw you out of your seat if your seat belt was not fastened. This was my first non accompanied flight after my mom started working for PSA. Day trips like this have influenced my development greatly, the day trips to Myrtle Beach or Jacksonville for a round of golf. Or the weekend vacation to New Orleans and Destin, and Daytona Beach are all stories within themselves that sparked influential events that have all affected my development.
It was an early morning in antioch california where I was vast asleep at my grandma’s house. Until my father suddenly woke me up and said “we have to go” and that's how it all started. So I got up and got dressed, ate little bit of cereal and hopped outside with my bags. “Oh my god” I said as loud as I could without waking anyone up around us. There it was A LIMO FOR ME I almost fainted until grandma said “this is just the beginning. We got in the limo and started our adventure. About a 2 hour nap later we arrived at the SFO airport around 8am. I got my bags and said goodbye to our amazing driver, then walked right through those electric airport doors with the biggest smile ever.
My family was on the way to the Reagan National Airport and we got stuck in traffic and we had missed our flight. Our parents had bought us new tickets for later that day and we were waiting for the people to tell us that we could board the plane but they had given our seats away.My parents were so mad and they had to talk to the people that had given us our new tickets and we had to buy new tickets for tomorrow it was night by the time we got out of the airport. We decided to say at my aunt’s house because it was closer to the airport and we
The flight to New York was my first time flying in a plane. I was so scared at first because I have seen how big a plane was before, but I had never been in one before. That was my first time ever being that high off the ground and I had gotten to sit by the window. What made it even scarier, but after a little while I was okay after I got used to it and I was okay. The flight was 14 hours from Miami to New York. I ate pizza and I played
On January 4, 2010 my family and I needed to go to the Louis Armstrong airport to fly to Miami so we could pick up my grandmother from the airport. This was her first time to the U.S. since she lived in Cuba all of her life. I hated plane flights because of all the plane disaster movies I watched a few years back and it would be the first time i would ride a plane . Whenever I got on a plane, I would always freak out because I was always worried of a plane crash.
The airport was not very busy, due to the arrival during nighttime. A lot of stress is often involved with going to the airport because it means one must leave their friends and family behind in order to embark on their trip. The airport I departed from was, Charlotte Douglas International Airport. As soon as I arrived, I raced to the terminal, said goodbye to my family and took the flight to Dulles International Airport in Washington, DC. As I boarded the plane, I thought to myself that this was the first time in my life that was flying solo. Although it was kind of an eerie thought, I learned to cope with
We boarded the plane early in the morning and we were all ready. “What all are we going to do?” asked Dalton. “We’ll see when we get there” I replied excitedly. The plane ride was a lot of fun. We even flew over the Grand Canyon! Then, we arrived.
My family and I were so excited that we didn't even sleep the night before. We spent our Thursday night watching movies and talking about what are plans were for the trip. Once the clock hit 4 o'clock in the morning , we left our house and were on our way to the airport. The airport was quiet and peaceful. I could smell the freshly brewed coffee once I set foot in the airport. We checked in, then waited patiently for our flight to board. Suddenly we heard on the overhead speaker, “Flight to New York, New York is now boarding, Flight to New York, New York now boarding.” Once we boarded the plane, we settled in and got comfy. The flight was fairly smooth with little turbulence and the sweet sound of babies crying filled my ears. Once we heard the pilot's voice telling the crew to prepare for landing, my excitement grew big.
The light to put our seatbelts on glowed as the captain spoke to us and flight attendants acted out safety instructions. At take-off my stomach was filled with butterflies, but I wasn't scared. My body was pushed into the seat but I pretended I was the captain of a fighter jet. When we were stable I discovered that flying wasn't that bad. And the ocean looked beautiful out the windows! I put on my CD player until the played the in-flight movie, Planet of the Apes. I didn't like it so I kept listening to my CD player all the way through dinner. I fell asleep but the sound of the captains voice woke me. He was telling us there was an hour left of the flight. Flight attendants asked us to stow away our bags and prepare for landing. Butterflies were fluttering in my stomach again as I anticipated the landing. I felt the plane lose
