If I was moving into my dorm for my first year of college, there is no question of which quote I would put on my wall. One of my favorite old school country singers, Jimmy Dean, once said "I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination." This quote has always stuck with me. It reminds me that life will not always go my way and it is important to learn do deal with whatever life may throw my way.
I love this quote because it encompasses several valuable life lessons. For example, it has taught me to be hopeful and optimistic for my future, even when everything isn't so peachy. Back when I was seven years old, I played softball. During one of the first few games, my team was falling behind and everyone was

Another life lesson that Jimmy Dean's quote inscribes is that instead of viewing my mistakes in a negative manner, I must look at them as positive learning experiences. This has been applicable to many instances in my teenage years. For example, when I was training for my job at Jumpstreet Indoor Trampoline Park, I made several mistakes throughout the first week. I pressed the wrong buttons and told guests the wrong prices. Instead of getting discouraged, I thought to myself, "Well, now I'll never have to make that mistake again!" and I quickly moved on instead of dwelling on it. Another time this lesson has come into play was when I first started driving on the roads. I forgot to use my turn signals, go the speed limit, and I could not park for the life of me. I had to learn the hard way that I must pull into the closest lane when turning. After a minor fender bender, now I know. Another life lesson that Jimmy Deans quote is applicable to is that I must do whatever it takes to achieve my dreams and goals. I have to fight in order for them to become possible. Since as early as my childhood, I have
The quote that really stood out to me was said by Oliver Wendell Holmes which was, “The great thing in this world is not so much where you stand, as in what direction you are moving.” I like this quote because I feel like everyone can relate to what it is saying and use it as an influence for their lives. It tells you to keep moving forward and keep moving on to the next thing in life, because there is always something more. If you are feeling down, it will always get better and it won’t always be like this. One way this quote can be represented by is when someone is not doing well in a sport they are truly passionate about.
My favorite quote comes from Douglass Adam’s A Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and goes as follows: “don’t panic.” It is a rather short quote and lacks a that special gravitas found in memorable quotes from famous historical figures, but it has served me better than any other piece of advice. I interpret it as a reference to the brevity of life and the tendency of mankind to blow things out of proportion; basically, life is short so try not to waste it by excessively worrying about things that are not important. To paraphrase another quote from the same book, I would rather be happy than right. At the end of your life you will remember all of the good times that you had with your loved ones rather than all of the little trivialities that seemed
This life lesson would be to take chances when you have the opportunity or else you will have already failed on that opportunity. I acquiesce with this quote because in the book,
The inspirational quote that really stood out to me was made by H. Jackson Brown, Jr. His quote was "The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today". While I was looking for a quote this one really stood out from the rest. It really got my attention because of how much I can relate to it. I feel like this quote is trying to disseminate the point that when times get tough just take it one day at a time. You don't need to worry about everything all at once, just deal with one thing at a time. If you try and deal with everything all at once, you'll proliferated with a huge amount of stress. You'll end up being overwhelmed with it, and you wont be able to function normally.
"When you're out there partying, horsing around, someone out there at the same time is working hard. Someone is getting smarter and someone is winning" by Evan killham. I enjoy this quote because it teaches me how to use my time wisely, and to work hard in everything I do.
The story this quote has with my life is inspirational and helped me though a tough time. This year for volleyball I got dropped down a level of completion from the Freshman 1 team to the Freshman 2 team. This disappointed me because I had worked so hard all summer to get on high team. I talked to my coaches and asked them what I needed to improve on and if later on in the season I could possibly move up to the higher team. They explained to me what I needed to work on and told me I could move up if I worked hard. As the season
“People will hate you, rate you, shake you and break you. But how strong you stand is what makes you.” is a quote that I love.I have experienced it,and I can I have learned from it.I have lived through many event that have changed me, but the one that has had a biggest effect on me is the following.
Reading this quote reminds me that you learn from your mistakes. Instead of thinking about all of the bad things that happened, this quote let's me know to think about the good things that can happen because I have already made the mistake once and I know not to do it again. The last reason I really like this quote is because it is an overall great quote to live
The quote teaches a valuable lesson too. The lesson it teaches later in life or sooner is that if you just wait, soon it will later happen, you must be patient and later something unremarkable and so valuable you would do outstanding, and once you do that it will or should remain a memory or it should.
"This is Water" by David Foster Wallace is a short story that provides many life lessons. Lessons, for example, the world does not spin around yourself. Also, it educates the lesson that you should not live as though your fate is already chosen. Go for broke if there is a chance to affect your life emphatically. Additionally, if not for the sacrifices of numerous people, we would not have similar freedoms that we live within our day to say life. Ultimately, life isn't an assurance, you should know, know that things happen, great and terrible, yet it's the way you respond that influences your life to all around lived.
This simple quote was powerful and true for me. Understanding this statement and living it should be important for everyone in any situation. In life we all face obstacles on our road to success (our goal). In fact, obstacles, setbacks,
I agree with this quote why because it has a real true meaning behind it. Why I feel this way is because i've had a lot of moments connecting to this quote. One personal experience I have is that I was in a business class and we were investing in a company and I had $10,000 and I took risk and invested into a company and I thought I would lose everything but I didn't and I gained a lot so I took a big risk and I accomplished my goal for getting my profits up. Another Personal experience I have is that one day I was playing basketball and I stole the ball and the score was tied up and I ran and shot a 3 instead of a 2 and I risked my shot but I made the shot and I accomplished my goal when I took that risk either tho I could have missed the
This quote really hit home for me. It shows me that life is going to hand me different and hard things but I am strong enough mentally to accomplish them. When I was eleven years old, I was struggling in baseball.
My favorite quote is “tough times don’t last, tough people do.” Everyone has mountains they must be able to climb over throughout their life. As long as you don’t let these mountains defeat you, you will make it through the hard times and you will come out even stronger than you were before.
This quote is very motivational mainly because it says to not to focus on what you have done wrong or what has happened to you but to focus on what could happen in the future or moving on. Many people in society focus on what they have done for example many people complain that they didn’t go to college and that they don’t make enough money; when instead those people should get up apply for colleges and try to get the life they want instead of wasting time mourning about not going to college in the first place.
