My Government Professor At South Texas College

My government professor at South Texas College gave the class a very rigorous assignment that required a more participation than usual. We were told to go to a regular government meeting, for instance, a city council meeting or a school board meeting, and observe the proceedings and then write about what took place at the meeting. These government meetings are usually held at the town’s city halls or if it were a school board meeting then they would take place at the school’s central office. Usually these meeting are held the first Tuesdays of every month. I chose to go to a meeting at Mercedes Central Office for a regular school board meeting. It took place at Monday, March 7, 2016 5:45 PM, and it was located at 206 West Sixth Street, Mercedes, Texas. The drive from my house to the Administration Office took a whole four minutes since I live nearby. Despite living nearby I drove in my blue 2005 Chevy Trailblazer to get to my destination. Once I arrived, I saw a midsized deep tiger orange building that had a mural of a tiger in between long grass and another mural of a white tiger majestically laying down. It was a beautiful sight to see. Where the sidewalk meets up in the front of the building is where there is a design made with rocks. In the design the white rocks were put in place to form the shape of the letter M, which stands for Mercedes and all around the M are orange rocks and a many different colored flowers to compliment the design.
