Crunch, Crunch. As soon as my feet hit the noisy, rocky,dust/dirt road, I instantly felt so much better. After all, and hour car ride wouldn’t be too relaxing. I had just taken in the beautiful scenery and fresh air, in Paia, Maui. Me and my family got out of the car and we put on sunscreen as I put my hair into a braided bun so that it didn’t get too warm. “Hey, Audra do want to go look at that building over there?” My Dad suggested with curiosity all over his face. “Sure!” I said. So we headed to the tall, simple building to see what was inside. When we got there, we saw a gift shop, and an area with a bunch of cool things in display cases with information mounted on them. It was so cold and refreshing there, it was almost as if i was …show more content…
We waited for a long dreadful, hot, 25 minutes until we finally got on the boat. I stepped on and immediately felt the boat bobbing up and down. I went down the stairs into the lower portion of the boat and chose a seat. You could see everything that was there. You could see the wood from the dock, you could see the moss underwater, the tadpoles, the other fish, the coral in the distance. Everything underwater, you could see. It was so pretty. I could feel the vibration under my feet as the boat moved forward, I could hear the oohs and aahhhs of the little children when they saw the fish. I could taste the salty sea air. And I could feel the piece of paper in my hand that listed all of the fish that we might see during the ride. Soon, I got seasick and had to sit on the top portion of the …show more content…
I could feel the nice breeze hitting my face as I looked at all of the islands around us. When I felt better, I went back below and saw that the scuba divers had just jumped in and were trying to find some sea creatures, soon, they brought up a sea urchin and brought it up to the window so that everyone could see and inspect it. They did the same with a few more interesting animals like a starfish. I got seasick again so I had to go back up on top of the boat until the end of the ride. I loved the boat ride, but it felt amazing, but also weird to be back on the land. “Ugh”, I groaned. My legs were so sore and I too warm and hungry. My dad wanted to eat, too. We went to eat at the restaurant that was painted light blue with a painted sign and
The ocean was so calm and stretched as far as the eye could see. It changed color with the light and the depth, from green to blue to dark blue. At twilight, you can't tell the ocean from the sky. The sky was so blue and not a cloud could be seen for miles. It made me feel at peace and so harmonious. There was the scent of saltwater in the air, a scent like no other. There around we could see sharks swimming calmly in the waters of the Caribbean Sea. They were so beautiful even though they are predators of the sea. On the boat everyone was very quiet, in fear, with the only hope of getting to our destination safely. The boat was overcrowded and no one could move or they would have risked tipping it over and sinking. There were 150 people in a small boat, mostly family with children. Time went by and after a few hours of sailing we heard the magic words when the captain yelled, “Everybody relax we are out of Cuban territory, you are free! We are now on international waters”. That’s when everybody started crying and cheering with excitement. Time once again began to pass by slowly, and I remember at one point the sky started painting in an array of pink, orange and yellow, and before long the pale glow of the moon was beginning to show. Soon enough the sky started to turn black and all the stars starting to shine up in the
A little advantage can go a long way, this advantage, though, is something else. It all started on February 3rd, a moment of peril, a scary moment, a generous amount of commas, a crash! A car crash! Well, almost. I was riding my skateboard like usual, casually moving along, when I saw a car! but then I noticed something, The car went from 40 to 0 without major impact on anything. Soda was coming out the window but suspended by gravity so I walked over, put the lid back on and, drank the remaining soda. I saved my skateboard and thought, "C'mon, go!" and time started again. "Wait what?" I asked myself in pure confusion. I used this power to take candy from the top of the fridge and cheat on tests, know typical boy stuff, heh heh. I felt like a kid in a candy store, with $100,000,000 that is. I was the happiest little boy until a thought pierced my skull like an inch wide drill. Somebody was going to find out, "Ooh look at that teleporting kid stealing candy" I also felt bad about all the candy I stole, and the stomach ache wasn't helping one bit. I went out despite what I did and thought about it. I apologised for what I did and I went out for a walk in the forest, I really wasn't thinking was I? No, probably not.
AS he looked at me and I breathed in his every smell he moved towards me and I stopped breathing. I know if he got close enough I was........DEAD. I ran as fast as I could in between the trees and down the hill to the cabin where I knew what laid down there what horrible things were waiting for me but I went anyway seeing them laying there covered in each other's blood I knew I couldn't save them even if I tried and as I turn the corner I'm grabbed by the hair and ripped from my home.
but what was bugging me was that every time the shuttle turned we would slide over and the shuttle would go CREEEEEEKK and the shuttle smelt like seafood and fish. After about an hour and a half we arrived at the alorsnorkel with all the 9 people we picked up with us we hopped out of the truck and got greeted by some people that work there . we followed our group to the table where we had to put on our flippers, life jackets, and our goggles. We waited for everybody to get their stuff on . then we got on the boat and drove out to the ocean between the gulf of mexico and cozumel. When we got in the boat and started going i smelted the salty water and I could taste the fish. The boat came to a stop and everybody was talking and we were all about to jump in . before i jumped in i could hear the waves rolling over more water. I could see the waves rolling over the plants and the coral. And then I jumped in. when I jumped in the snorkel fell out of my mouth water salty water was flooding my mouth and the water was going up my nose then I realized the goggles came off to so the water was burning my eyes. So I got back on the boat and put all my stuff on again. the person that worked their was talking to a family on the boat about how we might see
When Monday arrives, I dread going to work. Yet, I go and put on a brave face. Right off, Megan fills me in on Sarah’s new job. “It’s at another studio in motion picture marketing.” When I react surprised that it’s not in development, she says. “She wanted a change. What about you? Are you Afterwards, we discuss my plans. “I hope you’re staying?”
When I was 9, I lived in Texas. One sunny day my sisters and I were sitting in side because we just came back from fishing and we has gotten three big catfish because the huge lake was behind our house after you cross the railroad. Later that day this car arrived at our house, and a woman and a man came to the door and gave my dad a paper and he read it all i remembered was that that he started crying and then he told all three of us to go with them, so we arrived at this huge building and they took us inside they questioned us and then took all of us to different rooms. They got all of us to different rooms. They got all of us two pairs of clothes and a pair of shoes. They called my mom and I hadn’t seen her in two years and they told her that if she didn’t come get us at a certain time we would go to a foster
Waves are crashing at all sides of the raft. All I hear are people yelling. I want to curl up in a ball and go to sleep. All I have with me are the clothes I’m wearing and my pink, teddy bear laylee. All of the sudden my body jerks. I look both ways for my mommy and daddy. I panic when I realize that I can’t find them. All I do is sit there, hugging my knees and rocking back and forth. Then something jerks my body even more and in two seconds I go from seeing land not so far away to pure darkness. I’m wet all over and I see bodies that I hope are alive. All around me are loose items like clothes, baskets, headscarves, and ripped pieces of the boat. I see laylee out of the corner of my eye and grab her. As soon as I grab her, two hands wrap
We left the condo so early in the morning it was pitch black outside, then we made our way to the port. During the drive the wind was howling like a pack of wolves all around us and my nervousness started to kick in. I already had hesitations, but now the weather gave me an even worse feeling. Upon our arrival we gathered our gear and climbed aboard the 30’ fishing boat along with several other people. Once everyone was on we began the trip out to the ocean.
After saying our goodbyes, Third Brother and I went straight for the ship because it's scheduled to leave in thirty minutes. Before we could board the ship, we had to go through security, which wasn’t that bad. We found our seats in the bottom deck and got ready for our long journey at sea. After what seemed like weeks at sea I found time to write back to Aunt Baba when something hit me, ‘’maybe I could go visit her next summer?” As that thought traveled through my mind, I heard somebody yell “we’re almost there, I see land!” I was so excited after long weeks at sea that I stopped everything I was doing and went straight to the top of the ship. Third Brother was right behind me. As we got closer and closer to England, I could feel my
All my previous fishing trips have been exciting and adventurous, but one breezy July day was the best trip of all! I was on the boat with my dad and mom, we were catching decent fish while listening to the radio. When all of sudden the new, gray fishing pole in my hand gave a big yanking tug. I gasped, not knowing what was on the other side of the pole. I was just catching mediocre fish a second ago, all I knew was that was not an average fish. Suddenly, the mysterious fish flashed out of the water in a glimpse of a second, only my dad saw what it was, right when he caught a sight of it he yelped.
The man chuckles, but doesn’t answer my question. “Do you know why you’re here, Tori?”
Finally, when we got off of the boat, it felt as if God gave me this amazing experience with his creations. I thought it was the best adventure Mother Nature could bestow upon me. Then, I thought back to where I was scared.
After that I sat two hours and got my hair done and into several braids. Sitting on the pier and just watching the colorful fish jump out of the turquoise water was relaxing. The wind was just at the right speed to cool you off. There was all kinds of drinks to choose from. On a boiling day like it was, everybody had a delicious slushy. Although if you didn’t have sunscreen then you would get an awful sunburn.
I believe there are many hero's out there in the world. People have many different ideas of what a hero may be or who may be a special hero to them for many reasons. I have many people that I may call a Hero's. But there is one that is very special to me and is one of my Hero's, it is my older brother Aleix.
It was a good day for me a until tragedy struck. I just woke up on a Saturday and it was around 10:00 soon my mom knocks on my door she tells me something bad has happened, I ask her what has happened she said to me that my Grandpa Katch had past away yesterday I could feel the sadness creeping up on me then I started to cry. The first thing I remember was in June me him and my grandma all went to Disney World and he bought me a necklace and a snow globe these were the last things he gave me. So I told myself I will wear that necklace everyday because it reminds me of him. After I slowly got out of bed I went by my sister she had gotten the new an hour before me so she was in shock but wasn't crying I asked her if she was okay she said yes.
