At a young age and even today we all have a hero; it can range from a character in movies to video games even into literature. Throughout my life I have never been one to enjoy reading or watching movies, my daily activity was playing video games meaning all the heroes to me where inside a video game. Growing up playing numberless different videos games you get a taste at such a diverse variety of worlds, story line, environments, and even items. That being, I have come to learn about quite a bit of characters and some have really stood out in being extra heroic in their actions or just being cooler than the other; Master Chief (Halo), Mario (Super Mario Bros.), and Link (Legend of Zelda). John-117, better known as Master Chief, is my favorite hero but more importantly a serious dutiful soldier you want to have on your side when a bloodcurdling alien fleet comes trying to take over your planet. He is the last of a specialized breed of super soldier, and along with his A.I. sidekick Cortana, has saved …show more content…
Beginning from humble origins, Link is bestowed onto the path of the hero's journey, embracing his destiny to fight back against the evils that threaten his land. Wielding the Master Sword, Link uses his blade to battle against the evil Ganondorf and an assortment of threatening monsters. I think what makes Link one of the most iconic heroes is his companionship, during his journeys he can't help but go out of his way to help those in need, especially Princess Zelda. Compassion is Link's biggest strength. By caring for those he is trying to save, he has an extra motivation to save them. If courage should fail, Link’s compassion gives him an extra life for his continued struggle. Link is known for his courage to fight anybody who puts harm to the people he cares about but what makes him great is the extent he goes to for the people he truly

Hunger Games, Star Wars, and A Wrinkle In Time have many similarities, and differences when they go through the Hero’s Journey. The Hero’s Journey is what the main character goes through in a book or movie. For example, Harry Potter, The Hobbit, Ender's Game, and much more.
A hero can be like Martin Luther King Jr, a person who fought for people's right. These kinds of heroes put others needs in front of their own needs so the end result will be for the greater good for everyone. These heroes stride for a better world so humankind can live in peace and harmony. They are self-sacrificing
The Hunger Games, Star Wars, and A Wrinkle in Time all relate to the Hero’s Journey in different ways, but there are also similarities in the approach of Hero’s Journey. The refusal in Hunger Games and Star Wars are alike in the fact that Katniss and Luke’s choice of refusal is for the best of their family. Meg, however, has no choice and regrets going until she realizes that she will get her dad back. Crossing the threshold is different because Katniss has time to soak up the information and Luke just has to leave right away. During the point of the Test/ Allies/ Enemies, the stories are different by the intensity of the events; but they are also alike. The Hero’s Journey throughout the Hunger Games, Star Wars, and A Wrinkle in Time all have many differences and similarities in the approach of the Hero’s Journey.
Heroes can be defined in many forms. The classical heroes are strong and care about the other feelings. Their strength help them to fight with monsters and other mythological creatures. Because they have compassion for the others, they usually risk their own life to save people, just like Perseus did to save Andromeda. On the other hand, the modern-day heroes face
Looking at the finished product I turned in for Essay 1, I don’t think I deserved a 100%. As I read my essay I found nothing but mistakes and points left out. I then went back and read the first draft of that essay and man is there is difference. As I was reading my original essay I found out that I was inserting facts into sentences. That’s not bad but no the goal. The goal is to create a story about your hero’s journey and relate it to you. Mine was not that. Looking back on workshops and feedback I saw how much my paper had changed and how I raised my bar. I took sentences I had written and moved, created, and formed an essay that was different and better then the first draft; by creating a story. Now using all the knowledge, I have learned throughout the semester, I can use it revise my essay one

women on the couch. “The aging process is apparent to us in the first days of life. Those of us that are cursed age slower and stop at 30.”
Allison tried not to worry about David. She also tried to go back to sleep, like the Sheriff suggested. Yet, as the hours of the late night ticked by she found it impossible to do so. It wasn’t that the cabin was uncomfortable. Nor was it that she still feared that the thing would find her. She’d determined hours prior that if it could track her through some normal or preternatural means then it would’ve crashed through the walls and finished what it started. The storm that surged through the area only caused her worry to increase as she laid in the inviting bed, staring at the ceiling.
Screams filled the air. Only then did Jessie Grant realize they were his. He had been having this dream for some time, his dad’s and mom’s death. Before they boarded a cruiser when he was seventeen, his parents were his best friends, now he had nothing.
Have you ever been inspired by a hero because our technology today can make anybody a hero in an instant and can be applied today without much thought. We need to evaluate what it takes to be a hero and how they affect us. Heroes inspire us to improve our lives and make us a better person. Evidence suggests they determine the way we behave because we admire, adore, emulate them, place them in high regard and respect their accomplishments. Their qualities of courage, selflessness, humility, patience, caring, passion, integrity, honesty and confidence are all attributes that we all posses but it is whether we use them or not.
Watching a film, one can easily recognize plot, theme, characterization, etc., but not many realize what basic principle lies behind nearly every story conceived: the hero’s journey. This concept allows for a comprehensive, logical flow throughout a movie. Once the hero’s journey is thoroughly understood, anyone can pick out the elements in nearly every piece. The hero’s journey follows a simple outline. First the hero in question must have a disadvantaged childhood. Next the hero will find a mentor who wisely lays out his/her prophecy. Third the hero will go on a journey, either literal or figurative, to find him/herself. On this journey the hero will be discouraged and nearly quit his/her quest. Finally, the
A hero is not a person with strength or a person how fight monsters. A hero is a person that inspires you to be the best you can be, a person how tells you that there is nothing in the world that you can’t do, a person how will speak to you in a different way. My hero doesn’t need strength or able to fight monster, but their able to change your life in a different way. My heroes inspire me to be the person I can be today and other every day. The people in my store inspire me to do thing I never want to do but they make me do it by changing my mind. The reason I picked these people because they don’t just inspire me they inspire other people to.
The hero i am talking about is Luffy from One Piece. Him and his friends are pirates that sail on the grande line and throughout his adventures he helps people but also gets on the governments bad side and gets a bounty on his head. Duffy goes around doing what he likes but always help a friend or person in need. So he is a care free hero that helps out people in need. I think a hero has to be courageous because if they are they can help themselves or anyone else
A hero preforms actions to show people right from wrong, for instance; they show people how to respect other people. Respect is one of the biggest
