The semester is almost over! Along with the excitement of graduating the excitement of starting new journey comes. I will be ending my internship soon and it has been bitter sweet to have to leave soon, since last time we checked in new things have happen. We are finding my replacement and everyone has been super sweet expressing to me how they will miss me. My supervisor made me write a process memo for all the tasks I do for the new replacement and when I showed it to him he mentioned how well I have done all my work for the past two years. It made me happy to hear that my work was appreciated. So far this course has really taught me a lot. I really enjoyed doing the HireVue interview. I had done a electronic interview once before, for
I did internship with Novogradac & Company LLP is a national certified public accounting and consulting firm with a major emphasis in the real estate sector. During my internship, I mainly audited property management company regrading cash account, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, long term debts, revenue and expense account. Because Financial Report & Analysis I and II courses covered the accounting terms and journal entries in the last summer, I could complete assignments related to audits and journal entries. In addition, I prepared for balance sheets, income statements, statement of partners’ equity for partnership, direct and indirect cash flow statements for each rental property. I delivered required financial statements
I liked everything about this course. The seminars, study plans, and the weekly discussions help
The Blades of the Prince have just released new details about the next line of their famed Hover Tanks. Meant to replace the older Hover Tank A-3, the new Hover Tank B-1 is a departure from the old design philosophy of direct battlefield awareness embodied by the extensive use of transparisteel in the A-3. The B-1 addresses several flaws that became apparent after extensive use and testing.

During this course I feel that I have achieved all of the course outcomes. It was difficult in the beginning, but by continuing to read the
The Meltdown is a PBS special on the events of the financial crisis of 2008, in a timeline format, revealing the thinking behind decisions made during the fateful months before the stock market crash in August of that year. Some financial gurus on Wall Street devised a plan to bundle several mortgages together into a group, and then selling that bundle to another group of investors looking to invest in securities. The lender did not need to earn money from the loans he was giving out, he merely gained enough of a profit from the bundling operation that billions were being made on Wall Street from 2005-2008. The problem is that these bundles were risky, and as credit unworthy individuals defaulted on their mortgages, the entire system crumbled into what is now known as the Stock Market Crash of 2008, and have subsequently lived during the Great Recession.
I did my internship at the Sprouts Farmers Market’s kitchen. My responsibilities were to make cut veggies for the salads, sandwiches/panini, cut fruits and veggies for the lunch boxes, make tune salad, help customers with what they need like making them sandwiches and slice meat and cheese for them, and cleaning. Sprouts was not my first chose, but I wanted to work there because I wanted to get to know the people that worked there and I wanted to know how they make their meals.
After working with multiple campaigns this summer, my personal and professional growth in the field of political science has increased significantly. The opportunities that have come to fruition through my time and commitment to these individuals running for political office have changed my outlook on the political process. It takes a lot of groundwork to efficiently connect with voters, even in a state that is perceived to vote in one direction. After researching multiple perspectives and salient points, it is clear that there is no substitute for the internship experience when it comes to first hand knowledge of any type of work.
In the summer of 2015, I held an internship at Bank of America. During my time with Bank of America I worked in conjunction with the non-profit organization, the YWCA, to assist with their operations. At the time, I served as an instructor for the YWCA's Learning Centers and worked within the philanthropy, human resource, and managerial sectors of this organization. I culminated my experience by attending a Bank of America sponsored conference in Washington D.C., and I presented a Prezi presentation outlining my summer occurrences to various Charlotte branch executives.
Although Franz Mesmer was labeled as a fraud, he provided a basis for later psychoanalytic techniques such as hypnotism. As research of mental illness developed, mental disorders were classified as psychological illnesses instead of physiological illnesses. In light of this, physicians created ways to test the brain for mental illness: cranial capacity research and phrenology.
This quarter is most important and intense quarter for me. Thinking about the last quarter and excitement of graduation is one part but the workload is unbelievable. Five upper division classes and 100 hours of internship (10hours for HSC 4700) are definitely keeping me busy. I am doing internship at Kaiser. They provided two days mandatory training for students on March 28 and 29. Program Supervisor Mary Joy Rojo, Andy and Ivy, gave training on what intern should learn and expect while working by themselves. It was wonderful as I was able to learn and even practice. This two-day session helped me to make friends. I also participated on 3 hours event on San Leandro on April 2nd. It was an event for employee; in presence of Ivy, I helped many
Throughout college, many students may have to complete a practicum in order to receive an educational degree. A practicum is a real-life learning experience obtained through working on-site in a health care facility while enrolled as a student (Makely, 2013). Educational programs use different terms for the practicum experience, such as clinicals, externships, internships, hands-on experience, and so forth, but these terms basically mean the same thing (Makely, 2013). Enrolled as a Health Care Management student at Metropolitan State University of Denver, one of the requirements is to complete a 150 hour internship that is related to health care management. The internship is an opportunity to apply knowledge and skills that I have acquired during the classroom and the online portion of my training, in an actual health care setting while I am still a student (Makely, 2013). It is essential to plan for an internship because your internship is much more than just another assignment, it is probably the most important part of your education (Makely, 2013). Enrolled as an out of state student, I do not have the resources available that in-state students have. I am on my own on finding and internship and in order to succeed, I have created an internship plan.

This class has been very beneficial to me for many reasons. I am thankful to have had the chance to attend this class and be apart of such a great group and a wonderful instructor. There was a lot of new information introduced to me that I did not previously know or have experience with. It is always a plus to take a class and gain much-needed information. Anyone that has plans of working in the business world will need this class.
In a business world, nowadays it isn’t just about whom you know, or what you know, experience is almost as valuable as education. It appears that almost all credibility comes from how long one has been in a particular field. Consider this, would you rather see a heart surgeon who just finished his or her residency, or a surgeon who has been practicing for many years? Almost always, experience is more enticing. This resulting in this epidemic that has college students and graduates hungry for experience, even willing to work for free, or in other words – internship. A compelling article published in a 2006 New York Times magazine, - “TAKE THIS INTERNSHIP AND SHOVE IT”, Anya Kamenetz uses ethos, pathos, and logos to lay out a thorough review of whether or not unpaid vs. paid internships are beneficial, not only for pre-graduate college students, but also for the economy as a whole.
